Those of you in Europe hoping that Rhythm Paradise Megamix - which is out now in North America - might be coming to the 3DS eShop this week should be ready for some disappointment. Nintendo UK has just confirmed that the game won't be arriving until 21st October, which - if you watch the footage below - feels like a lifetime away.
However, to make up for the delay, there's the good news that Europe will be getting a physical release of the game. It hits the eShop on the same day, naturally.
Having to wait a bit longer than North America is annoying, but at least you'll have a nice plastic case to go on your shelf.

North America physical release when
I'm personally going for digital but I guess this is good for those who prefer physical. I can wait.
Everyone I've spoken to that have played Rhythm Paradise games have all said that they're amazing, so I might check this out.
@ReshiramZekrom that's what I need to know as well
Sad about the wait but considering I still have Stella Glow & Yo-Kai Watch to complete (& plan to get Kirby soon) maybe the wait isn't such a problem. & getting a physical copy is good news.
Some of the staff must be quite a bit older to come up with the idea of using a picture of an 80's music video to accompany this article...
(obviously I understand the reference, but that is probably because I'm a bit older myself as well)
That is good for the Euro-bros., a little good to balance the bad.
Funny thing is, it's normally the opposite with EU getting both physical and digital first and NA getting only digital weeks/months later
@ultraraichu Is it though? Only example of that I can think of quickly would be Devil's Third.
@ultraraichu How many times has that happened? Pretty sure that isn't 'usually' what happens.
@Jazzer94 Isn't Fatal Frame 5 an example of this, too?
Got it on my US 3DS. This is a game I'm never going to sell anyway, so it's okay.
I'm speechless...
Weird, insane, funny at the same time. XD
But too bad, no complex songs with higher or insane BPM or erratic rhythm like on DDR songs. I'm so hungry for unusual songs.
Once again... Left out. Nice Nintendo.
Well while the wait is long I'm really happy to get a physical release. For my collection and the convenience of paying on both my systems! Sorry to everyone who wanted a physical release but we're unable to get one!
@AlanJones84 well there is precedent but it's mainly 3rd party. Shovel knight, runbow, etc. I think Nintendo has done it but I can't think of an example... Someone help
...I'm glad we finally have a release date for Europe. Went 100% digital so I'm not interested in physical anymore.
I'm sad because waiting 4 months for the exact same game they released in the US feels pointless. What's there to localise? I'm honestly really disappointed that in this day and age it's still so hard to do simultaneous releases (not just Nintendo's fault I guess).
opens up his American Purple 3ds goes to eshop
nintendo europe what a joke...
i have had the japanese release for ages so pretty lucky but for people in europe who cant import. october release is shameful!
4 and a half months, really?
If it came out today I would've considered buying it but October is way too busy. Kirby, Color Splash, more Hyrule Warriors Legends DLC, incoming Pokemon Sun/Moon and lots of XB1 stuff.
Apparently, it takes 4 months to alter all of the assets to say 'Paradise' instead of 'Heaven'. How ridiculous! I am happy we're getting a physical version, though.
Shall I sell my PAL Rhythm Paradise DS game now this is coming? Bigger screen and more games so it seems like an ok discount if I did.
Don't sell it. Not every game from Rhythm Paradise is in Megamix. Some of my favorite (Soccer one) aren't there. The remixes aren't there either (there are 10 new remixes).
Also I think they translate at least the text to german, spanish, french, etc. for european version. For Rhythm Heaven DS they even translated the songs to each language, so I can understand the wait.
Darn you Nintendo. I'm happy our PAL friends are getting a physical release but I want one in the US as well. Just like Fatal Frame V I wanted the game but I'm not getting them on digital since they're a retail release elsewhere, plus they'll never go on sale. Why Nintendo, why???
@SaKo @Jazzer94 Yeah, that was my bad.
I was thinking of games like Inazuma Eleven, Devil's Third, Senran Kagura Burst, FF: Maiden of Black Water, Pokémon Rumble World and more. Only the first 2 applied and the others were one or the next, not both.
Should've proof read/think before I pressed the reply button
That's awfully. now Europe knows what NA felt like with Yoshis Woolly World.. 😔
Certainly a bummer for those holding out for a physical copy in NA but as for living in the UK, I very happy to hear about the above - was starting to worry it was going to go digital only after seeing NoA announcement for it.
Definitely a day one buy anyway plus its out just before my b'day too which is a nice bonus.
Wished the NA demo had more than 15 uses though
@LegendOfPokemon Right, as if we Europeans never have to wait months (or years) for games after they've been released in the US. It's also not like we sometimes don't even get games at all even though there's a perfectly fine English translated version released in the US. Don't even get me started on the NES/SNES/N64 days, that was just plain torture.
The instances where Europe gets a game earlier or exclusively are so few and far in between but always blown up because Americans aren't used to it so they set the entire net on fire.
I can wait just as long as they can!
YES YES YES YES!!!! Now we just need to get the third Zero Escape in physical format and I'll be happy!
@DiscoGentleman Really? How so?
I am so annoyed by this. Rhythm Heaven is awesome and I wanted a physical version but nope. Ugh. This is why I go back and forth on which one I prefer, the 3DS or Vita, because the Vita isn't region locked! If this was on Vita, I could just buy it from Amazon UK or something.
I swear if Style Savvy 3 is also digital only over here, I'm just going to buy a PAL 3DS and those two games.
Not intrested
Its like playing a modern day version of Silly Symphonies.
Great news!
I am going to pre-order this game and keep it new and sealed if it is purely going to be physical in just Europe.
