Re: Is Game Freak "Recycling" 3DS Animations In Pokémon Sword And Shield On Switch?

companyoflosers

i feel like perhaps all the decisions people arent liking were possibly made because game freak is being basically forced to make it for a home console. they have always advocated that core pokemon would always be a handheld-only franchise but now nintendo has left them with no choice. I really doubt it because it would be petty as hell, but a small part of me wonders if they are trying to make it sub-par on purpose in protest.

Re: Video: Can A Headstrap Really Fix Zelda VR And Labo VR?

companyoflosers

Absolutely not. Switch hardware is not sufficient for good vr. Then again my definition of good vr is only doable on a mid-high range gaming pc, with a dedicated vr headset and decent motion controls. Not trying to be like pc elitist, and I'm sure consoles will be sufficient eventually but I feel like the vr on current consoles is just an afterthought and is completely unrealistic to expect much out of. When the console is built with vr in mind, then it might be good assuming the hardware is both up to it as far as horsepower but still accessible for the masses.

Re: Random: Prince Harry Thinks Fortnite Should Be Banned

Theres one thing a parent can do. NOT let them play it! if its unbalancing their kids life then a parent has the responsibility to put a stop to it under their own roof. be a freaking part of your child's life and figure out what is influencing them in a negative way. that being said, i hate the damn game too, but there is nothing about it inherently bad compared to many other games. ANYTHING not in moderation is bad. the only thing that ought to be banned is certain people who think they can substitute games for good parenting, from having children. the gene pool doesnt need that sort of stupid.

Re: Takashi Iizuka Confirms The Next Sonic Title Is Already In Development

companyoflosers

how long before sega understands that all sonic has going for it anymore is nostalgia? games that survive purely on nostalgia and fail to evolve are doomed to fail. nintendo was able to figure that out and they are still around as a big console manufacturer and game publisher and developer. sega didnt and they release mediocre titles once in a while. if this sonic game cant show that the ip will or can evolve into a game people will like for more than just its history, then by all rights it should be the last sonic game made. i like sonic and want to see it endure into the future, but it needs to prove it has a reason to exist beyond wasting my time getting me all hyped just to disappoint me again.

Re: Talking Point: Could Nintendo Ditch Physical Media With A 'Switch Lite?'

companyoflosers

only if there is some way to redeem what games you own physically so you can download them. maybe register them with nintendo? the only issue i see with this is used games. if you go to sell your physical game back to gamestop or something, nintendo has no way of knowing you did and leaves it on your account to download any time you want as if you still owned it. maybe allowing some sort of special re seller accounts where when a reseller obtains the game, they register it with nintendo who then move it off your account? it would basically mean you could never take a game to nintendo without the registration code, but it would theoretically work.

Re: Feature: Please Understand: Unpacking Nintendo's Vision For Metroid Prime 4

companyoflosers

Ive always suspected whenever discussing with metroid fans that they are more niche than they think they are. interesting to see numbers that back up the theory though. at least where japan is concerned. i have always wondered though why nintendo always places so much emphasis on catering to the japanese market over the worldwide market seeing as... y'know they are a company... who wants to make money... and the rest of the world has more money than just japan...

Re: Nintendo President Says 20 Million Switch Target Failed Due To "Insufficient" Efforts To Convey Its Appeal

companyoflosers

or you could just release more recognizable games. that would probably work too. there are also too many indie games. its too hard to tell whats good and whats garbage. they also need to be their own section on eshop. though nintendo wont do that because it would make their selection seem more barren. honestly this could all be solved just by discontinuing the 3ds. once its officially dead, all those developers will migrate over to switch.

Re: Rumour: Universal Studios May Have Cancelled Plans For Pokémon And Zelda Theme Park Attractions

companyoflosers

They are shying away because fast and furious tanked?! Sounds like a load of BS to me. You cant compare Nintendo to that sh*t movie series. Also don't want it to match the presence of Harry Potter?! It's BETTER than Harry Potter! Its like suddenly they are allergic to money if its made by properties they dont directly own. Nintendo, Mario, Zelda, have all been around tried and tested for a LONG time and has remained popular. There is no safer bet than Nintendo for attracting people.

Re: Free Multiplayer Patch For Stardew Valley On Switch To Release On 12th December

companyoflosers

@DABYX well yeah, theyde either have to zoom out further as the players get further apart, or wait for both characters to head in the same direction but stopping the panning when they get too far apart, effectively making them both stuck in the same place walking against the boundaries of the screen until the other gives up. it only makes sense to require two switch consoles.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Rules Out A Modern Port Of Kid Icarus: Uprising

companyoflosers

@SetupDisk smash is a must-make game. It prints money. Kid Icarus, while still good, is rather niche compared to some of nintendo's other ip. plus from what i heard, the game was ill received in term of how difficult it was to play due to the limitations of the 3ds and as a result, it probably didnt sell well enough to consider remaking later.

Re: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Might Run On Switch, But Developer Toys For Bob Honestly Isn't Sure

companyoflosers

doesnt the switch natively support unreal engine 4? it might take some tweaking of the graphics, and i know its not as simple as plug and play, but i see no reason why it shouldn't make its way to switch. given crash bandicoot made its way over and seemed to sell well enough, youde think theyde have begun porting by now. if activision is too lazy to figure out, maybe they could hand it off to the guys who did the doom port? might as well give the business to a REAL studio. i know theyll basically only get paid for their time and not the sales, but still.

Re: The Dream's Over Folks, Nintendo Confirms There Are "No Plans" For Zelda: Skyward Sword On Switch

companyoflosers

honestly, this is okay. skyward sword has the worst case of recycling areas from the game in my opinion. it had WAY too much backtracking. that and the motion controls were forced and not really fun at all. it didnt add to the experience so much as lessen it and make it probably impossible to port to future consoles since we will probably never get another motion control console again because everyone recognizes it for the gimmick it is.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry’s Technical Analysis Of Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu And Eevee

companyoflosers

i actually prefer the traditional top-down camera view over the dynamic ones. just seems more authentically "pokemon" to me. i hated the dynamic camera in the newer games. wish they had left out double battles. never like that either. always felt like a gimmick. also wish they hadnt gone with the pokemon go style catching, unless they made it so you can battle trainers more than once. would make it impossible to grind if they didnt. though i gues this isnt supposed to be that type of game. think ill hold off for the next mainline game or until this is on sale... which considering how often nintendo games go on sale...
