It's seemingly not "the Switch Pro we've been expecting". This is a minor spec bump with little-to-nothing for docked players to care about. No 4K, no meaningful performance bumps. Pass.
I think it looks great; animation style reminds me of Terry Gilliam/Monty Python or Guacamelee. The only thing I wasn't sure about from the footage was the sound enemies make when you shoot them (sounds like a water balloon making a splat).
Providing it plays tight (60fps, minimal lag), then people should get behind the game!
There's been mobile attempts at developing a sequel to WrestleFest, but it didn't work out (in my opinion). As said, the rap is terrible on the video, and I doubt it'll have the same buy-in without popular licensed wrestlers.
I'd love a new Advance Wars game (provided it wasn't in the style of the last game, Days of Ruin), but I'd settle for a collection of the games right now that'd take advantage of the greater screen real estate of the Switch.
The original plays a tighter game of Tetris than Tetris 99, but multiplayer playing Tetris against a Puyo Puyo player was unbalanced (Puyo players seemingly having the advantage).
Apologies if someone else covered it (I scanned through the comments and did a search), but won't UK backers get hit with fairly sizeable import tax/duty charges backing any of these US-based campaigns (when it comes to receiving their monitor)?
The NA box art is sooooo terrible it's amazing. It was so bad that it spawned a tribute character in Street Fighter x Tekken (Bad Box Art Mega Man). Clear "winner" for me.
I've a horrible feeling it'll be average-to-good; it looks like it won't be that snappy. After playing River City Girls recently, I've realised the bar has been raised.
The only thing "arcade style" about that joystick is that it's a joystick; doesn't look anything like an arcade stick otherwise and I bet it's mushy as heck.
@Jack_Goetz was just about to make the same point; iOS has had PS4/Xbox controller support for a while now, but think the game needs to opt-in (no automatic support). Wish this was covered in the review :'-(
I've got both Psikyo Shooting Stars collections. Neither have lag that spoil either collection. You can detect the difference between playing the Switch versions and the Saturn ones for example, but I wouldn't describe it as spoiling the experience.
Both collections are great, in my opinion.
It could/should still do with an update still. The fact the soundtracks on the collectors editions are recorded via analog rather than digital is a bit cheap as well.
Considering you post both US and UK deals, could you add in your tweets and articles what regions things relate to? No news of a UK release yet sadly, so I didn’t need to click the article.
The Joy-Con situation and Nintendo's refusal to repair my obviously faulty controller for free means I won't be buying a Switch Lite, and I've started buying more multiformat titles on PS4.
@RiasGremory fair enough, although you say "lasted 2 and a half years"... which sounds like it eventually did manifest issues? I wasn't suggesting some weren't lucky, but everyone I know who bought a system at launch has had issues with the Joy-Cons (specifically the left one).

Can't wait; hope this gets the support it needs to warrant a new entry sometime afterwards as well.
Re: Poll: What's The Best Mega Man Game?
Mega Man 2 is the best Mega Man game ever made.
Re: Puyo Puyo Tetris 2's Second Post-Launch Update Adds Colourblind Support And More

Re: Wonder Boy - Asha in Monster World Gets A New Trailer And Fresh Details
The frame rate still looks dodgy and I'm not a fan of the graphics personally.
Re: Konami's Gradius III Blasts Onto The Nintendo Switch eShop This Week
@TG16_IS_BAE yep... it's so good!

Re: Konami's Gradius III Blasts Onto The Nintendo Switch eShop This Week
"Enjoy playing the best game in the series"
Salamander 2 on Saturn or Gradius V on PS2 are both miles better. Yes... I count Salamander as being a Gradius game ;p
Re: Ghost ‘n Goblins Resurrection And Capcom Arcade Stadium Coming To Switch In February 2021
@Mr_Pepperami So negative... 😉
Re: Hardware Review: 8BitDo's Arcade Stick Grants That Coin-Op Feel To Your Switch
Cancelled my order on this after reading about the modding limitations; read https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RBXWIL6QISKQE/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B08GJC5WSS for a more in-depth review, but it seems you can't believe the marketing on the modability on this. It's supposedly not just the base height; there's additional complications regarding the mounting plate and the joystick connects.
Big shame; was really looking forward to a wireless Seimitsu stick

Re: This 'Little Wireless Controller' For Switch Boasts A 40-Hour Battery And Fits In Your Pocket
Too expensive to consider.
Re: Neo Geo Shmup Andro Dunos Is Getting A Switch-Based Sequel
The original's graphics were excellent, but the gameplay wasn't up to a similar standard.
Re: Random: World Of Tanks Dev Would "Love" To Do An Advance Wars Collab
I'd love a new Advance Wars game (provided it wasn't in the style of the last game, Days of Ruin), but I'd settle for a collection of the games right now that'd take advantage of the greater screen real estate of the Switch.

Re: Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 Arrives On Switch This December
@RushDawg apparently at high level play, but not for plebs like myself
Re: Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 Arrives On Switch This December
The original plays a tighter game of Tetris than Tetris 99, but multiplayer playing Tetris against a Puyo Puyo player was unbalanced (Puyo players seemingly having the advantage).
Re: Contra-Inspired RPG Shooter Bite The Bullet Fires Onto Switch Today
The eating mechanic looks a bit weird to me.

Re: Nintendo President Apologises For Joy-Con Drift, Can't Comment Further Due To Ongoing Lawsuit
The US gets a replacement policy while the UK get apologies; all because the US knows how to lawyer-up I guess.

I might skip it.
Re: SNK's New Metal Slug Game Aiming For 2020 Release, Mobile Title Also In The Works
The last Metal Slug game I played on the PS4 wasn't very good at all (either 7 or XX; forget which). Hopefully this one turns out well.

Chocolate teapot.
Re: Review: Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope - Seven Years On, This Action Platformer Still Dazzles
@Phostachio sure. The mechanics put me off playing it though, so didn't get through the story.
Re: Review: Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope - Seven Years On, This Action Platformer Still Dazzles
Great game; the series took a big dip with the second game and how the main character controls (in my opinion).
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #40 - Mega Man

Re: Street Fighter Producer Says He's Open To More Entries On Nintendo Switch
I'd love SFIV to be ported to the Switch; much better game than the (likely) exclusive-to-PS4 SFV.
Re: Streets Of Rage 4 Soundtrack Listing Reveals The Mix Of Old And New Artists
Hoping it's great; there's been only one track that has really impressed me so far though (on the latest trailer).
Re: Streets Of Rage 4's Leaked Release Date Was Wrong After All, New Date And Battle Mode Revealed
The music is awesome in this trailer; it's the kind of soundtrack I'm hoping for in the game
Re: Streets Of Rage 4 Switch Release Date, Pricing And File Size Confirmed – As Well As Other New Info
I've a horrible feeling it'll be average-to-good; it looks like it won't be that snappy. After playing River City Girls recently, I've realised the bar has been raised.
I'll still buy it though.
Re: Bandai Namco Announces The Namcot Collection For Nintendo Switch

Re: Feature: Best TATE Mode Nintendo Switch Games
The first Strikers 1945 is a better game than it's sequel (IMO), but both are great.

"Persistent internet required". F-that.

@Brutchie-bear I think at least 80% of that statement is rubbish; everyone I know who bought a Switch at launch has had Joy-Con problems.
