@glaemay No offense, but the second game in the series was a weird, top-down card battler with randomly generated rooms. The series has gone in bizarre directions for years
Aside from kicking my siblings' butts in Mario Kart, Smash Bros,, and the like, I've painfully average at best, and awful at worst... It doesn't affect my enjoyment in any way, unless I'm ruining someone else's experience because of my incompetence
It's impossible for me to choose. They both bring different types of charm and quality, and I love them both equally. As for the other questions, however, definitely Song of Time and a bow
As someone who has never played the game, this article genuinely confused me... it got a chuckle out of me once it clicked, though. Can't believe I'm saying this, but the Japanese art is vastly inferior
@fafonio Personally, though I love Minecraft, I never cared to have Steve in Smash... but now he's in it, and it is what it is. I agree that his character design is dull (due to the "make your own story" nature of the game), but I don't believe that takes away from Minecraft's legacy and staying power, or from his move set (which seems to be well designed)
@fafonio Yes, I do believe I catch your drift: Your drift is that, by romanticizing character design/characterization/personality, you have grown bitter and angry that a poorly designed character made it into Smash. It's really not as big as you seem to think. Pokémon trainer is a generic character devoid of personality, yet they are still here. Villager has no personality, and their alts are simply based on very mundane outfits. Mr. Game & Watch has a flat personality–figuratively and literally. As @thesilverbrick pointed out, based on its importance in gaming (especially for Nintendo), Tetris DOES deserve a slot, but there's no way a Tetris block could have a fulfilling move set worthy of its legacy. Steve's moveset seems to work just fine. At the end of the day, it's a game, and a lot of people are happy about Steve's inclusion... move on
Kid Icarus: Uprising is my favorite game on the 3DS, and one of my favorite games of all time (it is Sakurai's masterpiece, in my book), so I have mixed feelings about this. It looks great, but a bit TOO inspired
I've never seen the European one until now; it's a step above the North America box art, but still terrible. Germany's variation is sick, but Japan obviously wins
@Dr_Corndog Oh man, that was the one I used to play the heck out of with my siblings... I hope this one delivers, even if all it does it stoke my nostalgia
I'm most likely gonna cave into Hot Pursuit... I played the heck out of it on the Xbox 360 when it was released, but I've been itching for NFS on the Switch
Other than that, I dig the list. Some games were placed lower or higher than I'd put them, but it was no question which three would be in the top spots–the only question was "Which goes where?"
This looks like stuff of dreams, regardless of its size... I doubt I'll ever manage to visit Japan, but if I do this will be high up on the list of places to see
I believe I read somewhere that whenever Trejo is asked to play a villain, he refuses to do so unless he dies in the film, as to say that bad guys never win. He's a lovely guy, truly
I wasn't planning on buying this, as I've already played the game, but this comparison has just about sold me. It's gorgeous, and even puts Xenoblade 2 to shame
My N64 copy of THPS2 has been giving me trouble lately (dead battery, perhaps?), so I do wish this were coming to the Switch. Either way, I hope they do it right this time
I had somehow never heard of Void Bastards (is that word allowed in the comment section?) until a couple days ago, as I was browsing the shop. It looks absolutely gorgeous
I tried to learn SmileBasic when Petit Computer was released on the 3DS* back in the day; I made some progress (I was able to get a sprite to walk in a field, and make a very basic top-down racer with tons of glitches and one track with no hit detection), but I eventually stopped. If you're interested in it but afraid you'll fail, I suggest you go for it. If you keep at it, there's no telling what you can do
@dewokkel It's a 3D platformer/collectathon, and has long been hailed as a prime example of licensed video games done right. Maybe it's my nostalgia talking (our copy from back in the day either got lost or broken–can't remember), but it's truly something special
@kepsux I'd have to disagree with you regarding Uprising; that is still one of the best games I've ever played, in my opinion, though having relatively tiny hands may help me enjoy it more. I haven't played it in a while though, so perhaps my thoughts have changed
This shouldn't affect me too badly, as the only other person who might play New Horizons on my Switch is my sister (and she generally prefers playing things together), but this is a bad move on Nintendo's part

Re: Chicken Police Is A Real Thing, And It's Bringing Buddy-Cop Noir Adventure To Switch
Take me away, Nintendo Life mods... I'm a communist because I told @LaytonPuzzle27 to lighten up
Re: Chicken Police Is A Real Thing, And It's Bringing Buddy-Cop Noir Adventure To Switch
@LaytonPuzzle27 Lighten up... makes life funner
That aside, this type of game has never been my cup of tea, but I love the concept, and the dialogue in the trailer got some chuckles out of me

Re: Feature: Prepare To Meet The Light! Where Is Kid Icarus: Uprising On Switch?
