The release date for Immortals Fenyx Rising – formerly known as Gods & Monsters – has been leaked by the Microsoft Store.
According to the now-deleted page, the Kid Icarus-style fantasy action title will launch on 3rd December 2020. As for whether or not this includes the Switch version, we'll have to wait until Ubisoft's official confirmation, which will no doubt come during its Ubisoft Forward event Thursday 10th September.
The Microsoft Store page also contained the following information about the game:
Immortals Fenyx Rising brings grand mythological adventure to life. Play as Fenyx, on a quest to save the Greek gods from a dark curse. Wield the powers of the gods to battle powerful mythological beasts in the air or on the ground, and solve ancient puzzles. The fate of the world is at stake - you are the gods' last hope.
There were also some nice screenshots, which you can view below.

Ooh, with Starlink getting Starfox content, how cool would it be if this had Pit playable on the switch version?
INB4:
'Ubisoft... doing what Nintendont'
The word of the moment "vibes" . The said to death word.
It looks great, one of the very few games I'm looking forward to.
I dunno much of anything about this game but it does look nice.
Wow blatent Kid Icarus rip.
Ah well, but I bet you they will say "Nintendo Switch is not powerful enough to run it"
I do love Uprising, so I think I might check this out to get my Kid Icarus Fix! Let's hope this game tastes better than Pits floor ice cream, and sees better than Palutana's gamer glasses, and it has good humor.
@Bunkerneath It’s already been announced for Switch.
Looking pretty awesome I reckon. This is kind of what I imagined a proper 3D Kid Icarus game would look like. Actually looks like a Zelda BotW/Kid Icarus cross.
Anyway, without a big game from Nintendo announced so far for Nov/Dec, this will be my most wanted game for the holidays so far.
It looks really nice. Looking forward to seeing some gameplay.
Not sure why, but the info about the game and the screenshots made it less appealing to me...
Well I'm still going to check the trailer and gameplay videos when it comes out
@MasterJay
Yep 100% what I'm hoping for. If this wasn't likely to be a launch game for next gen I'd be more optimistic...
I can't say why, but I think I will like this game A LOT.
Looks like Kid Icarus and sounds like God of War.
Looking forward to this, hopefully gameplay footage soon
This might be one of the first multi-plat games I will buy on the XBOX Series X.
Definitely interested in this. I will say, this looks really different compared to the first preview, and I still need to see the Switch version to see if I should get the ps4 or Switch version of the game. Still interested however. I just hope that Ubisoft doesn't pull a Ubisoft and screws everything up somehow.
Is the SWITCH version releasing in December?. This isn't clear yet, and typically we have to wait longer.
Ah man, that new name...
Kid Icarus: Uprising is my favorite game on the 3DS, and one of my favorite games of all time (it is Sakurai's masterpiece, in my book), so I have mixed feelings about this. It looks great, but a bit TOO inspired
obviously will await reviews but love the look of it so far, seems like a Ninty game!
@Patendo in 6 days. It was confirmed for the Ubisoft presentation in the 10th.
@Orangezap89 I'm getting some negative vibes from you.
Nice! Cant wait to play this game.
Here hoping the gameplay is fun. The graphics already look great
I sorta wish I liked playing Smash Bros. more. I have nothing against Smash Bros. ... well, nothing except the director only works on that, and personally, I'd far prefer a sequel to his Kid Icarus Uprising.
I've been excited about this game since it was originally announced as the thought of a Zelda-style game in a classic mythological setting is right up my alley.
If it turns out good, I'd kinda like to see "Immortals" take off as its own franchise... applying the Zelda gameplay loop (explore/traverse/puzzle/fight, get new tool or power, repeat) to different mythological traditions... Aztec, Norse, Slavic, Japanese and others would all be cool settings.
Also... fingers crossed the switch version runs well and looks good!
@Daniel36 why can't anyone see that the word Is oversaid.
Sounds as though it could the Christmas Switch game to get.
Might be good, but will probably buy it for Xbox One X / Series X instead.
It has changed a LOT from the "BOTW" version we saw before.
@Orangezap89 probably because people dont really care
@Casco I am going to get it for the Series S haha.
@the_beaver Thanks dude, I will be keeping an eye out for that now
@Jokerwolf I think I'll most likely go to for the Series X by the end of this year / early next one...........hope we get to know the pricing and full feature list of both models soon...they're supposed to be released in a couple of months but still nothing.....playing chicken with Sony!
I saw the image and thought "KID ICARUS ON SWITCH?", but yeah, no. Ah well, looking at the other images, its character design speaks less to me than Kid Icarus.
@Casco Microsoft is going to undercut Sony regardless of how they price. Not sure why Sony is worried if they are so confident. I can tell you though the Series S will probably be cheaper than the One X and probably considerably more powerful than it too.
Would be amazing if UBI saves the day on Switch. Keeping an eye on this one.
@Jokerwolf CPU should be a very meaningful upgrades over One X, agreed. However, I already got the One X and do game on 4K TV so Series X is the natural upgrade path for me. Not sure if I’ll pull the trigger this year or hold up the upgrade until next
Looks cool, but I think I'll wait for reviews and other impressions before buying.
Still..."Fenyx". They're trying WAY too hard. XD
@Casco Oh ya definitely for you go Series X, I only have a One S so the Series S is a huge upgrade and I need my own xbox anyways since the wife is always using it for streaming and such, I need my own if I want to stream it through xCloud (which is free to do even without GamePass) to anywhere I have a decent wifi connection and for next gen games once they start coming out lol.
The main character looks terribly generic. The whole game lacks something unique if you ask me.
Reminds me like a cross between Kid Icarus and God of War. Could be good.
I'm not as thrilled with the new art style. I had been looking forward to it, but maybe not so much now. Hopefully the preview next week changes my mind.
Considering how unoptimised are all the Switch versions of multiplatform games, there is simply no way I am getting in on the Switch. It'll be PS4/5 for me.
Looks interesting. And it's being developed by the developers of AC:Odyssey IIRC, which was really fun IMO. So this looks like something I will want to try.
It's like Zelda meets Kid Icarus, pretty sweet. Definitely interested in checking out the footage/trailer during the Ubisoft show.
@Vepra that's because their minds are too far gone within, dumb ,mainstream, culture
@Orangezap89 Why? Because they happen to use a word you don't like? Its just a word why would that bother you?
Anyone could predict a Kid Icarus crossover akin to Starlink and Star Fox...
