Re: Amazon Confirms US amiibo Pre-Order Times for Wave 4, Splatoon and Silver Mario

blackbeltbap

if your looking for amiibo i would suggest going on a road trip to a small town with a gamestop or any other store that sells amiibo. i went to my gamestop to pick up splatoon and they had a good amount of splatoon amiibo and probably others( wasnt really looking). i could have got the 3 pack but i just dont have the money for that right now so i just bought a splatoon boy

Re: Reminder: The First Splatoon Global Testfire Details Are Out

session 1 analysis. no problems connecting online or staying online, tutorial is useful but not the biggest fan of gyro controls(i immediately turned them off when i could), joining matches is quick but matches got disbanded often for multiple reasons, squid jump (which can be played while waiting for a match) is a cool idea but gets boring very quick( i hope not all the other minigames are locked behind amibos), matches are fun but i havent quite figured out the best way to play, the splat roller seems a little overpowered almost 50-75% of people used it, and tbh 1 hour of play time isnt the worst, i got about 8-10 matches in and by the time it was over i feel i have had enough(at least of whats available in the test). ill be playing again tomorrow for session 3, session 2 is way to early for me

Re: Splatoon Global Testfire Demo Confirmed For This Weekend

blackbeltbap

it seems completely idiotic to release a demo that can only be played for 3 1 hour time periods. of which i will probably only be able to play 1 hour of because i have class at that specific time tomorrow and the first period on saturday is way to early for me. im assuming that they have further plans for this demo, at least i hope so because that was really a waste of a download if it isnt. what idiot came up with this idea? ya i know this will probably increase sales but so would a 48 hour over the weekend or even 2 weeks of an online demo(beta).

Re: Poll: Is Splatoon a Blockbuster That'll Help Revive the Wii U?

blackbeltbap

im just hoping i can get 1 splatoon amiibo on release day. im hoping they are producing a lot of them like the few amiibo that are always on shelves (mario, peach, luigi, etc.). i might get lucky though my gamestop seems to not sell out of amibos last time i was in they had more than a few of the rarer ones, its great to live in a small town.

Re: Preview: We Take Aim at Splatoon to See if It Offers the Best of Both Worlds

@AyeHaley i'm going to make a prediction that like all nintendo games that have online play that the voice chat will be limited to private matches. mostly to keep their games family friendly because, as you know, any time open communication is allowed in online games their is always profanity. its just a shame they cant come up with another way around this like a very easy to find option that turns off voice chat for children.

Re: Copyright Owner of 'Trollface' Image Explains Role in Getting Meme Run Taken Down

blackbeltbap

@sarkwalvein 1. that would never happen. 2. ok i guess i wasnt specific enough in what i meant, i meant something that gained popularity through being a freely used item like the tollface meme or any popular meme you can think of. I can go right now to a website and make a meme using the trollface and use it in a youtube video and get ad revenue and no one will ever even care. obviously, if someone were to take say the luigi death stare "meme" and try to make a game out of it, something every knows is obviously related to nintendo and try to make a game on a sony console nintendo may take it down( well acctually nintendo wouldnt care and the game would suck anyway). i guess my point is that people dont freely go around using nintendo's assets but everyone uses memes because they are accepted as being usable by everyone. also i'm not in any way defending meme run, the game is most likely bad and deserves being taken down.

Re: Copyright Owner of 'Trollface' Image Explains Role in Getting Meme Run Taken Down

blackbeltbap

thats so stupid, one should not be able to make copyright claims on any of the popular meme pictures outside of being able to say that they are the original creator of that drawing. hundreds of memes are made from those pictures, so if your going to try to get one game to be taken down because you want money you should have to take down all the memes and other games down too. also there are still more than a handful of games out there that use the trollface, so great you took down one game.

Re: Super Smash Bros. 3DS Update 1.0.5 Is Now Live

blackbeltbap

hopefully this means sharing and the miiverse stage is coming to the wii u soon. not the biggest fan of replays, photos, and custom characters but i think custom stages could be a very useful addition. even though along with that comes the "weird" stages.

Re: Devil's Third Director Tomonobu Itagaki Believes That Wii U Title Fatal Frame V Will Make It To The West

blackbeltbap

how about itagaki finishes devils third before all the mature wii u gamers and call of duty wii u players switch over to a different console. dont blame the nintendo community if u wait 6 to 12+ months and the game bombs because there is no one to buy it. missed opportunity. either way i will probably buy and play it even if it isnt a financially successful game.

Re: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Facing Potential Error Code Nightmare

blackbeltbap

the only problem i seem to have is it takes a while for the game to start up and it always skips the opening cinematic when i first start it up, i dont know if thats a glitch or just normal. i hope this doesnt happen to me. and i hope they fix it fast i want to play online but i cant gauge how large the problem is but by seeing that a few people in the comments have it that must mean its more than a few people

Re: Poll: Who'll Be Your Main amiibo Buddy?

blackbeltbap

so the amiibo loot crate program has been announced it cost $50 a week and you get the standard loot crate stuff (mini-mag etc)and a special t-shirt with the last one. the first 2 packs have 4 amiibos and the last one has 2 amiibos. so am i going to buy it, hell no. i was only originally going to buy a few amiibos anyway and $160 in 1 month is pretty expensive. if it was $30 like a month maybe i would consider it, even if it was only 3 amiibos per package

Re: Talking Point: The amiibo Range Grows, Yet Key Questions Remain

blackbeltbap

a solution i came up with though would be to attach a unique code to each amiibo and when it is used on multiple consoles the system downloads the data from a server for the amiibo. its not the most technically cool thing because the data is no longer store on the figurine but it solves the storage problem

Re: Talking Point: The amiibo Range Grows, Yet Key Questions Remain

blackbeltbap

so basically what im getting from this is that the point of amiibo was to be able support multiple games but because of tech limitations they are only capable of holding info 4 one game. am i the only one that remembers someone saying( i think it was miyamoto) that amibos would have a large portion of their storage devoted to the game they are from and the rest would be for other games. certainly made it sound like they had a sufficient amount of storage then, what now.
