Re: Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap Has Gone Gold

Zeargo

Looking forward to this one. Never played the original and not a big fan of platform games. But I thought, I got to get this one since it's so interesting. So less than two weeks, I am going to have some fun with a new game.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo Switch Retail Games of 2017 - Spring Edition

Zeargo

There's five games on that list I am interested in.

1. Mario Odyssey. As a big fan of the 3D Mario games, I am definitely looking forward to this one and will be getting it.
2. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Never played any game in the series, but I guess the switch gives me the chance to play it. A bit unfortunate that Elder Scrolls Online isn't coming or at least at this moment, as it's a game that could work well on the Switch.
3. Dragon Heroes 1+2. I like the Dragon Quest series, but never played a Dragon Quest game. Seeing as this game is both an RPG and Open World game, which is something I enjoy a lot, it only makes sense I should get this game.
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Was originally not excited for this game as I own it on the Wii U. Due to additions to the game and other reasons, I thought "Yeah, let's get this on the Switch!"
5. Sonic Forces. Not a big fan of Sonic, but they do have some good games. I am hoping this new one will be really good and make me think back to this one game on the GameCube that I found really enjoyable. Sonic Lost Worlds was good, but unfortunately not enjoyable.

Re: Interview: The Story of Snake Pass' Origin from Creator Seb Liese

Zeargo

It was only yesterday after slowly going through the game, that I finished it. There was a lot of puzzle mechanics involved and the snake is indeed a tricky thing to control. It took a few levels before I finally got a handle on moving him around. It's really not that hard to handle once you are into it. The only thing is, never needed to use Y for the bird to help the snake, as it was mostly useless. And never really needed ZL as it was almost completely useless.

I am interested in these other mechanics that could've been added into the game, as when you look at it, this game could have so much more.

Re: Snake Pass Update Improves Rumble on Nintendo Switch

Zeargo

OMG. Snake Pass looks so good. Not sure if it's Alex having so much fun, but it does look really good. I got to get it. I just finished Zelda 100% yesterday, so I guess I got this to play now. Going to have so much fun being a Snake.

Originally thought it was some pretty average and not totally fantastic game you typically see appearing on the eShop. I am totally wrong about that.

EDIT: Game is 4GB, that is a lot. If it was any other console, I would buy it. But for the Switch, it's too high for me to download. I wouldn't mind downloading anything that's 1.5GB or less for any game. Ill have to wait until I get micro SD card, which I don't know if I really need it.

Re: Video: Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Development Team Talk Over Their Favourite Moments

Zeargo

Favorite moment.. thinking.. can't seem to recall a good memory to be my favorite. I have a playtime for this game of over 200 hours, according to the last time I checked on my switch. There is so many things you can do. The visuals is so great that I like the sunsets. The music is so awesome, some of the best in the series. My favorite character is Revali, with Princess Zelda as my second favorite. And my favorite place is at home so I can relax or admire my good collection of Bows, Weapons and Shields I got mounted on the wall.

Re: Video: Top Ten Weapons in Zelda: Breath of the Wild that Make Going Alone Less Dangerous

Zeargo

This is what I got to say about Weapons.

All Elemental Weapons are good, most particularly the Spears. The Elemental Spears are actually some of the best Spears in the game. All Elemental Weapons got high durability, unfortunately you need to kill Stalnox for them. Unless they are one of the few scattered around the world. Guardian Scouts are weak to all electrical attacks and not just the spear. You can shoot Shock arrows at it and it'll stop.

I don't personally love Two-Handed weapons, but it works great as a combo with Urbosa's Fury. Savage Lynel Club is the best at its job. If you like throwing weapons, than of course the Giant Boomerang. Just charge up, attack, lightning follows and repeat. Ancient Bladesaw isn't all the great. Especially when you need 1,000 rupees and the materials just to get it.

As general weapons, the Korok Leaf and all the Rods are great. Fire/Meteor Rod is my Firestarter, which the Flameblade is good at too. Ice/Blizzard is obviously good at Freezing, but I don't use them. The Korok Leaf is good at pushing enemies of cliffs or away from you. I think it may also cause some enemies to drop their weapons too.

As for bows, the Royal Bow and Steel Lizalfos are the best standard bows. The Savage Lynel Bow is the best bow for it's 3x/5x arrows at the cost of one. The Duplex Bow is also good, as it hits the same place twice, while the Lynel Bows are a bit spread out and may miss something. Although it's only good use is fighting the Blight Ganons, as hitting the Mask a few times causes him to fall. I was not aware of the Zoom Bows, but I guess there good for the Korok challenges.

Re: Nintendo Fixes the Left Joy-Con Problem with a Small Piece of Foam

Zeargo

I actually been experiencing connectivity issues with the Right Joy-Con and not the Left. But it doesn't occur often and it's not a big problem, so I am not fussed about it. The Joy-Con seems to not connect when attached to the switch, but it's fine when it isn't. However since the last time it occurred, found playing with it unattached for several minutes will make it alright afterwards.

Re: Guide: How To Beat Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's Hardest Shrine Quest, Eventide Island

Zeargo

Difficult, but not that hard. Although I did it with a lot of hearts.

When I entered, I immediately went to deal with the Hinox and enemies on the hill. I just killed the enemies with bombs as it was easy, especially with the Chuchus. Hinox I used bombs with too. From a high place, I threw both Square and Round bombs, switching between the two. At some point, he continues to stay in one place which made it easier to deal with. With that he died, got orb and first one completed.

Second was the one nearby. Due to my hearts, I just stormed in, used Stasis and got orb in. Obviously took the weapons from Hinox before attempting this.

Treehouse orb was easy, but when I tried to get to the spot in the water, didn't think of freezing. Used Stasis and hit it too much, which made it flew way too far in the sea. If I swam that far out, I would've exited the challenge. However it was my last orb and I was determined to get it back. So I than used freezing to knock the orb back, which took a while and finally completed the challenge.

Re: Guide: The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's Captured Memory Locations

Zeargo

I felt like I was one of the first to find all 12 as I couldn't find the exact location of the final one. And no one online seemed to know it's location. I knew it was in that area, because of the background in the image, but I spent like an hour walking around until I found it. Kind of felt silly til I got it. If you didn't rely on the guide, I wonder how long you would've taken to find any.

Re: Feature: Some of Our Favourite Legend of Zelda Games

Zeargo

I enjoy Zelda so much, but here's my favorites:
1. Wind Waker - Enjoyed the vibrant sea exploration a lot. And of course Toon Link
2. Twilight Princess - I liked the very nice dark atmosphere. Along with the Wolf Link, which provided a good change to the series.
3. A Link Between World's - A wonderful top-down adventure with unique elements.
4. Oracle of Ages/Seasons - The oldest and very nicest of games. Despite initially always getting stopped somewhere, it was a very nice and some-what simple game. Dungeons was my favorite part of the game.
5. Skyward Sword - Despite not enjoying the Motion Control, it was truly a wonderful experience. I could not stop enjoying the scenery and certain mechanics in the game.
6. Ocarina of Time - Nice experience.
7. Phantom Hourglass - Enjoyed it a lot.

Although I have yet to play Breath of the Wild, it is looking to be my 2nd most favorite at least. But nearly impressed me enough to overtake my top favorite, Wind Waker. I'll have to play it to see if it beats Wind Waker as my favorite. It does look like it will though.

Re: Hands On: Creating a Quest in RPG Maker Fes

Zeargo

Despite the trailer being in a language I don't understand, the game mechanics looks very easy to use. I may be considering getting the this RPG Maker and make a few games to share. I am already planning a possible world for my first game.

Re: Two Tribes Development Studio Shuts Down and New, Smaller Company is Formed

Zeargo

I am really Sad and Annoyed too hear this! When I purchased my first TwoTribes game, Toki Tori 2+, I started to look at their other projects and knew from that they were a great group. Since Toki Tori 2+, I bought every other Two Tribe game that made its way to Wii U. I am real sad it happened and hope things pick up for them in the future, in there new team.

Re: Nintendo Download: 21st November (Europe)

Zeargo

I have been looking at TwoTribes classics for a while now, so i'll be getting Edge. Also, the City of Gold game sounds interesting, yet no good information on the site to guarantee the buy. I'll be looking more at it when its release

Re: Review: Batman: Arkham Origins (Wii U)

Zeargo

I started playing the Batman franchise with Arkham City. It was so totally awesome. After playing this game and comparing it to Arkham City, I felt like it was lacking something.

I only read the conclusion and yet I would've given it a 7, but they're right. The plot wasn't that easy to follow. At the start of the game, they stated the assassins after you. You would expect all of them to go after you, yet only some of the were part of the actual storyline.

One of the most odd things about the game is that for a real big map, there was very few places to enter and half of them were side quest related. Which is another thing, half the game is also based on side quests.

The only things that they did good on was; Bane, they did that extremely well and how he progressed throughout the game. And the Mad Hatter, that was my favorite part of the game.
