@JohnnyMind So in the future when the situation gets worse, we can come back and blame people such as yourself? If you actually cared about videogames and the people who make them, you'd be against this trash being used and AI in general infecting every industry.
Don't forget to buy the Front Mission 3 Remake too which has completely butchered the art with hallucinated nonsense.
"but we’ve always appreciated how much effort the team has put into making sure the best version of a game is included on the cartridge or disc"
LMAO. Yeah just like how they straight up lied about Tomba having the patch on cart. Or the multiple other titles they release that are outdated, cost more, and take longer to ship to boot. The bootlicking this company receives is ridiculous.
I hope they've fixed the issue with the stick rubbing against the shell and leaving behind white dust. Not unique to the Pro Controller, but it had it the worst. Hopefully better material this time.
@TrueBlueYoshi The key cards don't store anything apart from a key that allows you to download it to your system. And you still need it plugged in to play.
@TrueBlueYoshi What are you talking about? Nothing gets downloaded to the key card. And if you prefer actual game cards and don't see the issue, then I don't know what else to say.
Yup, others and myself have alrady said we won't be buying any Key-Carts. We don't buy any download required nonsense in general. So basically a lot of stuff goes from day 1 buy to wait for digital sale for me.
So for 99% of people it will be perfect? Cause not every single person is trying to break the game with crazy designs. Really nothing surprising when it comes to games that let you build and mess around with the mechanics like that.
@AlleyCat There will not be higher capacity carts. It is already too expensive for most publishers. Look back at the Switch 1 carts. There's only about a dozen releases that actually used the max sized 32gb cart.
@tho_mi It's better than download codes, sure, but worse than an actual physical cart. Therefore it's a pointless buy for us physical collectors. I would much rather wait for a digital sale than buy the game-key cart day 1.
Just because 64gb exists doesn't mean publishers are going to pay for the cart. If the rumors are true that Nintendo aren't offering as many different sizes this time around, then devs aren't going to pay out for a 64gb cart for their 10gb game. Explains why we're seeing these "Game-Key Carts" instead.
@Banksie we don't know yet. But if it turns out it's just the switch 1 version and it downloads the upgrade, I won't be buying any of them. Really disappointed in the physical side of the system so far.
@WhiteUmbrella Ignoring LimitedRun, the patches could still end up on the retail carts. They did for Tomb Raider 1-3 as it had most of the big patches when the physical released. Probably why the physicals release later than the digital version. So yeah, don't give up on the physical just yet.
Although it makes sense, I'm a little disappointed Power Stone 2 isn't the Dreamcast version with the item collecting and mixing. Spent a lot of time on that back in the day.
I don't like it simply because the community is labeling games as shovelware when they aren't. Savant - Ascent, 20 Minutes Till Dawn, Gunlocked are all shovelware? This is disrespectable to these devs. Having a community in charge of metadata like this is a disaster. It's like on Steam where no one knows what a shoot'em up is suppose to be or mark tons of things as a "character action game."
@N64-ROX Not wrong. There's a drop-off in quality in different aspects with each game. It becomes more understandable if you look into the development of the series. There's a video on YT called "The Troubled Development of Tomb Raider" I recommend anyone to watch if they're interested.
@Grumblevolcano Think they're confused. I think this is because the Switch wants to check if the game is compatible for cloud saves. I just tried it with a game I haven't ran before and it lets you run it anyway. So really, there is nothing wrong.
And it's still a mess. First thing they should do is introduce an option to lock the framerate to 30fps. What's the point of a 60fps cap when the game can't even reach it?

No care or love for the game. Just let the AI hallucinate some rubbish and sell to the oblivious.

Lost all interest when I learned of the GenAI. Saving the money for better games instead.

They needn't bother bringing FFXVI. Just spend the time working on the VII Remakes. Seriously.

"More than twice the budget of the previous game." Not our problem. No one asked for the constantly ballooning budgets of games.

Feels good to not be a real fan then. You'll be able to pick it up for $20 next year. Maybe Randy can read the room by then.
