@Rayquaza2510 Yeah I am a little burnt out on Nintendo because Pokemon was super disappointing and I feel a bit ripped because I bought it digital.. Skipping smash until I see some crazy deal on it.
I believe the only reason it is doing well is because a lot of the switch user base has nostalgia for Nintendo and Pokemon. If we could see game play hours compared to all of the other pokemon games it would be a lot lower. The game ends very quickly and has very little value as far as replay-ability or even end game content. I gave it a very generous chance, spent a lot of extra time filling my dex and what not and still beat the game in under 30 hours.
TL/DR If you are an actual Pokemon fan and still on the fence I would hold on and wait for a real Pokemon game.
@Incarta Unless they add actual moves and turn based battles for the PVP instead of constant tapping like the gyms, none of the people that wanted pvp will be happy.
I just can't bring myself to do any of these, if the product is worth buying someone will invest in it and I will buy it when it is a real solid product and I can actually hold it in my hands. I don't get why people are so eager to jump in and be funding for these projects with no payoff. You might get a slight discount on a products but I have watched a number of products and when they do make it out they often sell for the same price, this game if it ever comes out will likely be a 14.99 eshop title.
@rjejr Torchlight is definitely more cartoony, my original response was really only factoring playing arcade and not the whole story of the game for some reason. I guess I have not played that portion of it in so long it didn't come to mind. The story is certainly why it got rated M, the game play and majority of the visuals are not.
In my personal opinion though there are different types of mature content with video games. There are games like Diablo, Resident Evil, Left 4 Dead, you get the idea. And then games like Postal, GTA,Manhunt... I would not let kids play the latter but the former I think depends on the kid.
@rjejr I played Diablo when I was 13, I honestly think it is one of the ones that has that rating because of the whole Devil thing. There is death but it is mostly killing demons and other monsters that come around. There are some images of people impaled on spears and stuff as you walk around some pretty grim scenes but all in all it is just aesthetics. I have seen children shows that have similar themes. It is a great game for someone new to it though and should offer many hours of entertainment.
@gcunit I played it on mobile and the game is actually really fun, it would have been better with physical controls but played very well even on mobile.
@Anti-Matter Wow I hadn't really thought about that. A lot of people have love for classic games and can find old copies, carts, cds, whatever... In the furture so many games required downloads, day one patches, or even digital unlocks that a lot of them may just disappear forever once support is dropped...
@Shambo My gatherings generally consist of friends, maybe some drinks, some sort of entertainment, and most of all no one preaching about their beliefs somewhere where there is absolutely zero reason to be doing so.
@MegaMari0 Good luck playing the PS4 on a road trip or in a waiting room or all the reasons I want it on the switch. For sitting at home Diablo the PC version is better anyways.
I have fully beat the main story with nothing left to do, is it worth buying the expansion pass at this point? Does anyone know how much gameplay time it adds to the game? Like is it just a couple hours or not even, or significant? I am trying to decide if I want to trade my game away for something else or splurge on the xpac.
@Shufty So I get your argument, D-pad is more comfortable for fighting games... However when we are talking accuracy and just accuracy alone I believe the current 4 button setup is more accurate than a d pad.
@The_Pixel_King It actually came out while I have been in the process of moving so I have been playing it entirely handheld and half the time using a hotspot on my phone. It runs amazing, if I have seen the resolution go as low as this article says I have not noticed it because I was busy shooting stuff.
I had originally thought I would get Eevee, but since it cannot evolve I guess I will get Pikachu. Assuming the game goes like a real pokemon game and I need to build a good team to beat it though it doesn't matter because nether of them will be in my final 6.
I really want a Pokemon on my switch, a full on RPG not some crap based on PokeGo. . Pokemon Go was junk, the one plus is that switch does not have GPS or mobile data so they can't quite make it the same crap game at least.... Here's hoping this is just some weird spinoff thing and the switch game has nothing to do with it.
Have you guys heard anything about the best buy Insignia docks? I picked up one of those because it was more portable (and a backup cheaper dock) Has worked like a charm but now I am worried...
@Dayton311 The diablo style reference peaks my interest. If you do get it and remember throw a comment back and let me know if it is actual a dungeon crawler style rpg, if so I am going to pick it up too!
@AlphaJaguar I can't use the second part of your reasoning as an excuse to buy anymore, too many ports. If they want my money they're going to have to bring something interesting to the table like every other market.
Like a lot of other people have said, you are doing yourselves a disservice by not having a text story covering this. I can't be bothered to watch a 25 minute video but I would read an article about it.
@ValhallaOutcast Thats a useful post you have here, give some sources maybe so people actually can inform themselves without searching blindly based on your childish comment.
Well that would be very stupid of them if that were the case, they are going to charge 40 dollars for a ancient port and then base the future of the console on that? Guess we will not have Capcom support on the Switch, oh well, most other companies will not be so dumb.
