Nah, I'll probably just stick with my GBA cart and 3DS Ambassador download. Got some new amiibo coming out this week to cost me money. Good game though, always enjoyed it.
@KikReask I completely agree with you about the camera controls, it's because DK64 is just emulating the old N64 version 'as is', digital button camera controls and all which feel really awkward on an analogue stick. Best advice I can give you is to hit the ZR button when playing and then redefine the controls....put the N64 'A' and 'B' buttons onto 'B' and 'Y' on the Wii U Gamepad, and then put N64 C-Left and C-Right onto 'X' and 'A' on the Gamepad, and use those 2 buttons to move the camera left and right....feels much, much smoother and more natural. It still doesn't solve the problem of still having to use the right analogue stick for C-Up and C-Down, but it alleviates some problems at least.
Super Mario 64 on Wii U has the exact same camera problems too.
Earlier was the first time I missed getting any of the Smash ones from the Official Nintendo Store. For starters, I was working all afternoon anyway so would've found it difficult to hover on the site all afternoon. For seconds, I did actually manage to get onto the site at 3.02pm, only to find out that they were already sold out (at least on my screen they were) because Nintendo had lied and put them up 20 minutes earlier. And then shortly afterwards, there were loads of preorder sales popping up all over Ebay for £60+ each. Well done Nintendo. You played right into the scalpers' hands there by not sticking to the announced time. I'm genuinely happy for the the real collectors and fans who managed to get their orders in though.
Luckily for me, I've managed to get both shopto and GAME preorders in for all the ones I want, hopefully I'll get at least one of each and any duplicates I get I'm selling for cost price to people I know genuinely want them. This rip off nonsense has to stop, and Nintendo need to take responsibility and start manufacturing more of these things. The demand is there, they must realise this from the amount of preorders there are and all the comments on social media, and the sheer profit they'd make from the ones they do sell would outweigh the costs of any they don't.
@Lions shopto.net are absolutely fine, so long as you live in the UK. I've never had any issues with them and they always deliver things really quickly, most games I receive a couple of days before official launch. I'm actually a Gold account member with them.
I don't know what it's like for people who live outside of the UK though. Game have recently slapped a ban on exporting amiibo because of the severe stock shortages it contributes towards in the UK. Might be that shopto are doing the same.
@outburst Don't be absurd. Not everybody wants to buy amiibo, and not everybody can get them before they sell out. Obviously the people who are lucky enough to get the amiibo wouldn't have to pay twice for the Splatoon DLC as it would be included with the amiibo, but it would be a nice option for people who can't get hold of them before they sell out, or just want to unlock the missions without having to go out and buy a plastic figure. What about the people who download Splatoon digitally and can't get a Squid amiibo because they're only being sold with physical copies of the game in Europe. Do you think it's fair that they get locked out of content, out of a game they probably paid the same amount for? I just want all the content in any game to be an option for everybody even if they have to pay for it, you're just being antagonistic and arguing with me for the sake of it and going on about Xbox One and PS4 which I didn't even mention.
It's nothing like the situation you mentioned with Wii Sports, nothing at all. Apart from when the Wii very first launched, have you ever heard of nunchucks and Wii remotes completely selling out, so that even if people want to pay for them they can't buy them to play their games with? So what you are saying is, theoretically, if Nintendo released a game that only used Wii Remote controls, but nobody (who didn't already own one) could get hold of a Wii Remote because they'd quickly sold out and Nintendo weren't manufacturing any more (just like what has happened with some of the amiibo), then it would be OK for people for people to buy the game but not have any option of being able to play it properly because Nintendo wouldn't provide an alternative option for the sold out controller? Such as DLC they could pay for to let them use another controller? That's complete nonsense logic..Look at Super Smash Bros for Wii U....they sold it at launch with a limited supply of Gamecube controller adaptors BUT provided plenty of other control options for people who couldn't get hold of one. That's the right way to do it, when you're selling something that will be in limited supply.
And I didn't make the hotdog comparison, that was Quorthorn. Learn to read posts properly, or don't bother replying to me.
@Quorthon People are suckers for physical rewards and collectibles though. Tell people they've got to pay to download content to add to the game they've already paid for, and many of them will complain. Give them a free toy to go with it though, and they think it's awesome. Many people are even buying these things who don't have a Wii U, or any of the games Amiibo are compatible with....in effect, they're buying DLC for games they don't own. Or even buying 2 of them, one to keep in the box.
As I said, I agree with you in principal, and I do think that the game content should be made available on the E-shop for everybody. But you can't fault the genius behind it. It's bad for customers, great for making Nintendo a pot of cash though.
@Kirk Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts on the SNES is basically the third game in the series that started will Ghosts 'n Goblins and then Ghouls 'n Ghosts. It's a shame Capcom didn't make it clearer at the time that it was an actual fully fledged sequel rather than just an enhanced port of Ghouls 'n Ghosts. All well worth playing and all as hard as nails...the original game is one of the hardest 2D platformers I've played but it's still a lot of fun.
@Magrane You can unlock the original TMNT arcade game on TMNT 2: Battlenexus on Gamecube (I assume that's the game you meant?) but it's not a great port of it....all music, speech and sound effects have been removed due to copyright reasons at the time and all you hear is a generic looped music track throughout the entire game. TMNT 3: Mutant Nightmare allows you to unlock the original arcade version of Turtles In Time, which does have sound effects and speech, but all the music has been altered and the cool 'Pizza Power' intro sequence has been removed unfortunately.
@MoonKnight7 They're not easy to find here in the UK either. They should at least have Splatoon DLC available on the E-Shop for slightly less so everybody has a fair chance to unlock everything in Splatoon even if you can't find the amiibo.
I don't think it would harm the sales of amiibo either...there's plenty of people who like collecting them (many more people than who actually own a Wii U or any compatible games it seems), many of those will seemingly buy 2 of each (one to open and use, one to keep boxed) and plenty of other people who will buy them just to scalp them. It'd be nice to know that anyone with an internet connection can still get full enjoyment out of the game they've paid for though if they're not into the whole amiibo craze.
@Quorthon I agree with you in principal, but at least people are getting a physical product for their money. There'd be a lot less whining and complaining about paying for Season Passes and on disc DLC if you got little collectible game figurines to put on your shelf when you paid for them.
I like the idea, but they should also make the content available on the E-Shop. It's like DLC, but not making the DLC available to everybody as there likely won't be enough Amiibo to go around (again).
Luckily I've got preorders locked in. I would be pretty angry though if I couldn't get the amiibo, and there was no other way of unlocking the content in the game I'd paid full price for.
It's a good game, but I wouldn't award it any more than 7 or 8 now. Before I get attacked by trolls for having a personal opinion or telling me I suck at games, I'll explain....I do still really enjoy Mario 64, but BLP made a lot of valid points about it above. Plus also, no other controller feels exactly right with it apart from the original N64 controller. Been playing it on Wii U recently and the default control scheme for the camera is HORRIBLE, You'd think that the right analogue stick would be great for controlling the camera but don't forget this isn't a port, it's just emulating the N64 version...therefore the camera controls are digital, not analogue. Trying to use the right stick to move the camera feels clumsy, clunky and very awkward (exactly the same problem with Donkey Kong 64 on Wii U too) and I've had to use the 'change controls' option to remap C Left and C Right to X and A on the Wii U gamepad. That feels quite a bit better, but then there's still issues with having to use the right stick for C Up and C Down. Crounching and long jumping doesn't feel quite so comfortable either due to the shape of the Wii U Gamepad or Pro Controller (I've tried both).
To enjoy Mario 64 at its best, you really need to be digging an old N64 out and using an original N64 controller to play it with, otherwise the control issues at least knock a couple of points off the overall score for me.
@StarDust4Ever Game.co.uk have put a block on international orders with regards to amiibo, so if you're in the US you won't be able to preorder any from there, not even using a UK forwarding address (they're onto it).
On the one hand I feel bad for people who can't get them anywhere in the world, on the other hand I'm glad that they had preorders available for more than 5 minutes this time to customers who actually live here
@Jazzer94 I'd rather not pay £15 each for them either, but considering how quickly the preorders on nintendo.co.uk sell out, I'd rather pay £15 each than not have them at all, or have to pay about £50 each Ebay scalp prices
@RIDE88 lol, same here...I've got 3 Greninjas and 2 Palutenas showing up on shopto now, I only actually want one of each but I daren't cancel any of them until the site is working properly again.
If I click on any of them now, it just says 'You have already reached your preorder limit for this item', so presumably it will only give us one of each and there won't be a huge stack of them turning up at my house in a few weeks. If it's not sorted itself out by the end of the week though, I'll give them a call.
Got the game/Squid amiibo preordered from Nintendo (missed the 3 amiibo bundle) and both Boy/Girl amiibo preordered from shopto.net....they're showing up on my preorders but I've had no email to confirm it yet which is a bit worrying.
Why do they do this?!? Most people are still at work at 3pm. They need to organise this better and have more stock available. As it is, Nintendo.co.uk are currently only selling boy/girl Splatoon amiibo separately in a bundle with a copy of the game and T-Shirt....pretty bizarre that they're not selling the amiibo separately.
I don't play 'proper' games on my phone at all...not because I think all phone games are awful, but I just don't enjoy the control schemes on them for the most part. I hate touchscreen only controls and they only really work well in a select few games like Ghost Trick. I've really enjoyed the first Fantasy Life on 3DS but if they don't port this game to a proper handheld, they've lost at least one customer here.
The camera controls feel clunky on both DK64 AND Super Mario 64 if you play them on Wii U Virtual Console...that's because they're just emulating the original N64 releases 'as is', with digital button camera controls and all....the camera controls on the original games weren't analogue, only the character movement.
I've found that using the 'change controls' option and remapping 2 actual face buttons to C Left and C Right makes controlling the camera feel a lot better and smoother on both games.
Miiverse is way too heavy handed. I received a warning for posting a picture of the menu screen for Rush, because it's a 'spoiler' apparently. And when I argued against it, they insisted it was a spoiler and deleted the post with no reason given as to why. I'm still confused about that to this day.
Meanwhile, the Super Mario 3D World community is full of fart jokes and other similar visual gags you can make up with the in game unlockable Miiverse stamps. They hardly ever seem to be checked or moderated, and appear all over the loading screens as you're playing unless you disable Miiverse content altogether. That's fine though, it's a Nintendo published game, right? One rule for one....yada, yada yada.
The parental controls should block anyone underage from accessing adult communities, the same as they block anyone underage from being able to download the game in the first place. At least that's what we were led to believe after the whole shambles when they were only allowing adult games like Zombi U to go on sale for about 3 hours a night in Europe a while back, and I don't remember anybody supporting Nintendo about that.
@outburst When Nintendo allow screenshots for games like Bayonetta 2 (and don't try to tell me the content isn't 'as adult' in it, I've played through it), it comes across as hypocritical. But, oh wait....Nintendo actually financed and published Bayonetta 2, so that's fine then. Apparently.
You can't really compare Nintendo Life to Miiverse. Nintendo Life aren't part of a bigger online community that has these adult games available for download, and specific communities set up for them. It would be just as absurd if Nintendo Life did have a section where the game was available to download and set up a community dedicated to the AVGN game, but then censored comments and pictures relating to it.
It is silly. Any kid who's interested in AVGN can go straight onto Google and look him and the game up, with completely unrestricted access through the Wii U's web browser.
Nintendo needs to wake up and smell the coffee. As much as I love them and their games, their archaic attitude is costing them customers and stopping them from competing properly with MS and Sony in the home console marketplace.
Been waiting for this, and I'll grab it when it comes to Europe....just feel like it's a game that should be experienced on a Nintendo console. I've been a fan of his Youtube videos for a while so it'll be fun looking for all the nods and references to them.
@OnionOverlord As I say, personal ppinion. I didn't just say 'I don't like the games' like so many on here often do, I explained why. And nobody should have to wait until there's a few positive comments for an article before they disagree with it.
I said I liked the second game, but it's the only one I do like. And I much prefer Capcom and Konami's brawlers. Each to their own.
Eh..personal opinions are personal opinions. If you like the series, explain why rather than just complaining that somebody else doesn't agree with you.
Hugely overrated series. The second game is good, but the first game always felt similar to an 8-bit game even back when it was first released, and the third game has a weird as heck soundtrack, mostly boring stages, and the Western release had the difficulty ramped up way too high.
I much prefer Turtles In Time or Final Fight 3 to any of the Streets Of Rage games. Always have, always will.
Even though I'd like to see Banjo and Banjo Tooie back on a Nintendo console, are there really that many people here who don't have an Xbox 360? They're dirt cheap now as well, just download the Banjo games (and Perfect Dark) on that, the Xbox 360 ports at least make proper use of the second analogue stick for camera control. Anybody played Donkey Kong 64 on Wii U VC? As much as I enjoy the game, just mapping the N64 C buttons to the right analogue stick rather than revamping the control properly is HORRIBLE. It's extremely tricky rotating the camera left and right as you have to hit the directions dead on....it's so bad that I eventually redefined the controls and put C Left and C Right on 2 of the Wii U controller face buttons (X and A) just to make the camera more controllable. Same for Super Mario 64 on Wii U VC as well, it's just been ported 'as is' rather than with modern controllers in mind.
Drill Dozer's a fantastic game. .but Bayou Billy is one of the most annoying and frustrating NES games out there. (I do have an original cart and have managed to complete it though. )
@ricklongo It does actually support the Classic Controller.....It honestly plays really well with the Wiimote though, can't imagine being able to aim around the screen anywhere near as quickly and accurately with the Classic Controller once things on screen get really busy.
Not sure if this means that Nintendo will bother to incorporate the Classic Controller controls into the Wii U gamepad. Hopefully they will.
Already got them both, they're both must buys for people who missed out on them the first time though. A shame that the leaderboards for Sin & Punishment 2 died alongside the old Nintendo Wi Fi Connection service, there were some crazy scores on there.
For instance, I'm playing through Final Fantasy XIII-2 on my PS3 at the moment. The game is rated 16+
It's barely violent at all (asides from firing spells at monsters), features no blood or gore, nothing in the way of sexuality or nudity...if my 10 year old nephew sees me playing it, should I be expecting a knock on my door from the police?
I wish Nintendo would just leave these region free exploits be. Most people wouldn't use them anyway, they don't allow copied games to be run and it'd just help out a few people like me who want Atlus games without having to sit and pray for an EU release or buy a US 3DS just for a couple of games.
One of the biggest problem for the Wii U has been wasting it's year head start over the PS4/Xbox One, or maybe it shouldn't have come out a year before them at all. Now it's looking like the Wii U has a barren release schedule this year compared to the others, whereas in actual fact it has a much, much stronger back catalogue and everybody seems to be giving the PS4 and Xbox One a free pass for having probably the worst launch years of any consoles ever (and yes, that includes Wii U....at least Wii U had big guns like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Lego City Undercover, Pikmin 3, Zombi U and Super Mario 3D World during 2013).
I've got both a PS4 and Xbox One and haven't bought anything for either of them since last December...The Order...well we all know how that's turned out, I don't like the look of the 'piecemeal' format of Resi Revelations 2 at all (will wait for a price cut) and the timing of Bloodborne is bad (I've spent my spare cash this month on amiibo instead ) But I'm not crying about it because I've still got Shadows Of Mordor to finish off, still having fun playing GTA5 online, still playing Titanfall.
Surely there can't be that many people who have played every good Wii U game out and don't have a backlog? This isn't like the early days when there actually wasn't a load of decent Wii U games out already. Mind you, I'm speaking from the perspective of somebody who's still quite happy to even go through my Xbox 360 and PS3 backlog when release dates are spread out.....currently I'm enjoying Final Fantasy 13-2 for the first time....seems a lot of people completely lose interest in anything more than a month old these days and constantly whine and complain when things they're looking forward to get delayed a bit :/
Perhaps this will convince Oddworld Inhabitants to stop messing around and get Oddworld New & Tasty released on the Wii U E-shop. Anyone who wants to download games knows that they have to buy more memory than the tiny amount of free space Nintendo provide with their consoles
It's a bit silly how people complain about the storyline and voice acting and say the game should have a lower score because of that...it's still a brilliantly designed Metroid title with great gameplay.
Then on the other hand, you have The Last Of Us with mediocre, dull gameplay and those same people think it's worthy of it's 10/10 scores just because it has a good story and voice acting. I think a lot of people play games for the wrong reasons.
Speed wasn't the problem. Plenty of games are fine without a main character that goes way too fast (that's why other 3D Sonic games can be a chore to play)...the problem was it was full of glitches (once the 'infinite Knuckles jump' glitch was discovered, the game pretty much became a laughing stock), the level designs weren't that great, the music was poor, most people didn't like the new character designs, etc.
I'm one of the people who bought it at launch knowing full well that it was going to flop, enjoyed it for what it was but I can still easily see why it failed. If the game's producer can't see why it failed, then it's no wonder Sega are in financial difficulty and reduced to making mobile games to try and scrape a quick buck back.
Games Industry 'Experts': Nintendo is doomed! Wii U sucks! Nintendo is losing stacks of money! Nintendo should make mobile games! Nintendo: OK, we are announcing a partnership with DeNA to make mobile games Games Industry 'Experts': Oh noes! Nintendo is possibly doomed! This might not work after all!
@alLabouTandroiD It's because the original DS game (Kirby: Canvas Curse) was renamed as Kirby: Power Paintbrush in Europe for some strange, unknown reason.
The worst one they did it with was Kirby: Squeak Squad....that got renamed as Kirby: Mouse Attack in Europe. Not only is it a stupid name, but it's also quite easy to confuse it with Kirby: Mass Attack when you're trying to talk to somebody about it
Want. Please tell me it's actually coming to Europe at some point though. I'll even take an E-shop only PAL release over no PAL release at all....absolutely love this series of games
Awesome. I'll be preordering that special edition. Not sure why people keep getting upset...it won't sell in huge numbers and gaming or society as a whole won't be affected because of it. A lot of people like myself just like the crazy Japanese madness of it all (same reason I love stuff like the Goeman games and Cho Aniki), only an extremely tiny amount will be buying for voyeuristic reasons when there's plenty more dodgy adult content available all over the internet completely of charge.
Metroid Zero Mission But where the heck is Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow? And Trine: Enchanted Edition?
Most of the time I don't mind waiting a bit longer for some games to be released on the EU E-shop, but we're on borrowed time here, we've only got until April before the Nintendo Premium points promotion finally comes to an end
I've had numerous problems with Nintendo customer service myself, they're not as friendly and helpful as a lot of people here would have you believe. Remember when they were giving away free codes for Super Mario Bros DX on 3DS last year? I never received mine and I had to blitz them with 7 or 8 emails before they acknowledged there'd been a problem and sent me one....a full two months after everybody else had received theirs. At the start of the year, they also refused to add a free Zelda calendar (the promotion was spend £30, get a free calendar) to my existing preorder for amiibos saying that they couldn't make any changes to an existing order and that I had to delete the order and redo it in order to get the freebie....knowing full well that I couldn't as all the preorders for those amiibos had sold out (one of them was Rosalina and I had the next lot with Shulk and King Dedede preordered on the same ticket too). I've never heard of any company that can't edit your preorders before.....I'm pretty sure if I'd asked them to add a couple of Wii U consoles to my preorder they would have been quite happy to.
I don't like these 'custom' amiibo at all to be honest, because they're not official and (asides from Sonic) the characters aren't playable in Super Smash Bros, they look like they're some kind of el cheapo amiibo knock offs from Hong Kong or something At the very least, I'd want them to be in the same poses as their Super Smash Bros trophies, the way the official amiibo are.
That being said, if I could have an amiibo of any character that's not been announced yet, I'd want Goeman and Ebisumaru from Mystical NInja

I'd prefer to have all the Trine games on the same system so hopefully it will get a Wii U release. Really enjoyed the first 2.
Re: Each Splatoon amiibo Will Unlock 20 Special Challenges
@Quorthon I agree with you in principal, but at least people are getting a physical product for their money. There'd be a lot less whining and complaining about paying for Season Passes and on disc DLC if you got little collectible game figurines to put on your shelf when you paid for them.
Re: Each Splatoon amiibo Will Unlock 20 Special Challenges
I like the idea, but they should also make the content available on the E-Shop. It's like DLC, but not making the DLC available to everybody as there likely won't be enough Amiibo to go around (again).
Luckily I've got preorders locked in. I would be pretty angry though if I couldn't get the amiibo, and there was no other way of unlocking the content in the game I'd paid full price for.
Re: Review: Super Mario 64 (Wii U eShop / Nintendo 64)
Re: This Rodea the Sky Soldier Special Edition is Rather Lovely
Got it preordered on Wii U on shopto already, but I'll cancel or change my preorder if we get this special edition in Europe
Re: GAME Launches UK Pre-Orders for Splatoon amiibo and New Wave for Super Smash Bros.
@StarDust4Ever Game.co.uk have put a block on international orders with regards to amiibo, so if you're in the US you won't be able to preorder any from there, not even using a UK forwarding address (they're onto it).
On the one hand I feel bad for people who can't get them anywhere in the world, on the other hand I'm glad that they had preorders available for more than 5 minutes this time to customers who actually live here
Re: GAME Launches UK Pre-Orders for Splatoon amiibo and New Wave for Super Smash Bros.
@Jazzer94 I'd rather not pay £15 each for them either, but considering how quickly the preorders on nintendo.co.uk sell out, I'd rather pay £15 each than not have them at all, or have to pay about £50 each Ebay scalp prices
Re: Nintendo's Official UK Store Opens Pre-Orders for Splatoon Bundles and amiibo
Re: Nintendo's Official UK Store Opens Pre-Orders for Splatoon Bundles and amiibo
Re: Fantasy Life 2 Is Skipping 3DS In Favour Of Smartphones
I don't play 'proper' games on my phone at all...not because I think all phone games are awful, but I just don't enjoy the control schemes on them for the most part. I hate touchscreen only controls and they only really work well in a select few games like Ghost Trick. I've really enjoyed the first Fantasy Life on 3DS but if they don't port this game to a proper handheld, they've lost at least one customer here.
Re: Video: Donkey Kong 64 Tumbles Onto Wii U Virtual Console
The camera controls feel clunky on both DK64 AND Super Mario 64 if you play them on Wii U Virtual Console...that's because they're just emulating the original N64 releases 'as is', with digital button camera controls and all....the camera controls on the original games weren't analogue, only the character movement.
I've found that using the 'change controls' option and remapping 2 actual face buttons to C Left and C Right makes controlling the camera feel a lot better and smoother on both games.
Re: Gallery: Wii U Owners React to Screenshot Removal on Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures Miiverse Community
Re: Gallery: Wii U Owners React to Screenshot Removal on Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures Miiverse Community
Re: Gallery: Wii U Owners React to Screenshot Removal on Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures Miiverse Community
Re: Review: Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures (Wii U eShop)
Been waiting for this, and I'll grab it when it comes to Europe....just feel like it's a game that should be experienced on a Nintendo console. I've been a fan of his Youtube videos for a while so it'll be fun looking for all the nods and references to them.
Re: Retrospective: Sega's Streets of Rage Series
@OnionOverlord As I say, personal ppinion. I didn't just say 'I don't like the games' like so many on here often do, I explained why. And nobody should have to wait until there's a few positive comments for an article before they disagree with it.
I said I liked the second game, but it's the only one I do like. And I much prefer Capcom and Konami's brawlers. Each to their own.
Re: Retrospective: Sega's Streets of Rage Series
Eh..personal opinions are personal opinions. If you like the series, explain why rather than just complaining that somebody else doesn't agree with you.
Re: Retrospective: Sega's Streets of Rage Series
Hugely overrated series. The second game is good, but the first game always felt similar to an 8-bit game even back when it was first released, and the third game has a weird as heck soundtrack, mostly boring stages, and the Western release had the difficulty ramped up way too high.
I much prefer Turtles In Time or Final Fight 3 to any of the Streets Of Rage games. Always have, always will.
Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Reckons "It Would Be Cool" if Rare's Banjo Was Voted in as Super Smash Bros. DLC
Re: Game Freak's GBA Title Drill Dozer Rated By The Australian Classification Board
Drill Dozer's a fantastic game. .but Bayou Billy is one of the most annoying and frustrating NES games out there. (I do have an original cart and have managed to complete it though. )
Re: Pandora's Tower And Sin And Punishment Coming To The European eShop This Month
Re: Pandora's Tower And Sin And Punishment Coming To The European eShop This Month
Already got them both, they're both must buys for people who missed out on them the first time though. A shame that the leaderboards for Sin & Punishment 2 died alongside the old Nintendo Wi Fi Connection service, there were some crazy scores on there.
Re: Head Teachers in the UK Issue Warning to Parents on 18-Rated Games Being Played by Children
Where does this madness end?
For instance, I'm playing through Final Fantasy XIII-2 on my PS3 at the moment. The game is rated 16+
It's barely violent at all (asides from firing spells at monsters), features no blood or gore, nothing in the way of sexuality or nudity...if my 10 year old nephew sees me playing it, should I be expecting a knock on my door from the police?
Sheesh.....
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd April (Europe)
Physical copy of Xenoblade 3D and no downloads for me this week.
I've got a backlog though, it's not the end of the world.
Re: New Nintendo 3DS Region-Free Exploit Now Tweaked to Work on North American and European Systems
I wish Nintendo would just leave these region free exploits be. Most people wouldn't use them anyway, they don't allow copied games to be run and it'd just help out a few people like me who want Atlus games without having to sit and pray for an EU release or buy a US 3DS just for a couple of games.
Re: The Legend of Zelda for Wii U No Longer Set for 2015 Release
Re: Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 Delivers an Artful Launch Edition
I'm in Europe, so we'll be lucky to get the game at all....never mind any of the extras that go with it.
Thanks again, Mr Region Lock.
Re: Nintendo Download: 26th March (Europe)
I'll take Trine I'll put Mega Man Zero 3 on my watch list as well and grab it when there's a 'quiet' week
Re: Planning On Downloading Xenoblade Chronicles 3D? You Might Need A Bigger microSD Card
Perhaps this will convince Oddworld Inhabitants to stop messing around and get Oddworld New & Tasty released on the Wii U E-shop. Anyone who wants to download games knows that they have to buy more memory than the tiny amount of free space Nintendo provide with their consoles
Re: Review: Metroid: Other M (Wii)
It's a bit silly how people complain about the storyline and voice acting and say the game should have a lower score because of that...it's still a brilliantly designed Metroid title with great gameplay.
Then on the other hand, you have The Last Of Us with mediocre, dull gameplay and those same people think it's worthy of it's 10/10 scores just because it has a good story and voice acting. I think a lot of people play games for the wrong reasons.
Re: Sega Producer Explains Exactly What Went Wrong With Sonic Boom
Re: Games Industry Analysts Somewhat Divided On Nintendo's Partnership With DeNA
Games Industry 'Experts': Nintendo is doomed! Wii U sucks! Nintendo is losing stacks of money! Nintendo should make mobile games!
Nintendo: OK, we are announcing a partnership with DeNA to make mobile games
Games Industry 'Experts': Oh noes! Nintendo is possibly doomed! This might not work after all!
facepalm
Re: Nintendo Download: 19th March (Europe)
Aria Of Sorrow! Finally!
Re: Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush to Roll Into Europe on 8th May
@alLabouTandroiD It's because the original DS game (Kirby: Canvas Curse) was renamed as Kirby: Power Paintbrush in Europe for some strange, unknown reason.
The worst one they did it with was Kirby: Squeak Squad....that got renamed as Kirby: Mouse Attack in Europe. Not only is it a stupid name, but it's also quite easy to confuse it with Kirby: Mass Attack when you're trying to talk to somebody about it
Re: Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight Will Be Finding its Way to North American Gamers This Summer
Want. Please tell me it's actually coming to Europe at some point though. I'll even take an E-shop only PAL release over no PAL release at all....absolutely love this series of games
Re: Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson Confirmed For European Launch, Embarrassing Limited Edition Packs Promised
Re: Nintendo Download: 12th March (Europe)
Metroid Zero Mission But where the heck is Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow? And Trine: Enchanted Edition?
Most of the time I don't mind waiting a bit longer for some games to be released on the EU E-shop, but we're on borrowed time here, we've only got until April before the Nintendo Premium points promotion finally comes to an end
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Sends New Nintendo 3DS Owners the Wrong Legend of Zelda Cover Plates
@MrGawain Ah sorry, I misunderstood
Re: Weirdness: Fan Creates Custom amiibo of Sonic Characters
I don't like these 'custom' amiibo at all to be honest, because they're not official and (asides from Sonic) the characters aren't playable in Super Smash Bros, they look like they're some kind of el cheapo amiibo knock offs from Hong Kong or something At the very least, I'd want them to be in the same poses as their Super Smash Bros trophies, the way the official amiibo are.
That being said, if I could have an amiibo of any character that's not been announced yet, I'd want Goeman and Ebisumaru from Mystical NInja
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Sends New Nintendo 3DS Owners the Wrong Legend of Zelda Cover Plates
@MrGawain Can you not just log onto your nintendo.co.uk account and cancel the order yourself?
