@LimitedPower It's very common with other games being upgraded to Switch 2. This has added DLC on top of being upgraded to a new system. Yeah, I wouldn't pay full price for it now. But might consider the upgrade. People are better off buying a used copy of the original and doing the upgrade.

@Ejadaddy yeah for like Limited Run games or collectors physicals for small, indie games. This is a well established IP with big sales. But sure, you can justify the 67% price increase to yourself all you want (I think it should've been $40 tops). Not really something worth getting that emotional about.

Folks it's getting 78 on metacritic currently. This game isn't amazing all around with just one hater... It has some significant issues with it that are off-putting to a lot of people.

Honestly was disappointed in this game after the playtest. Just seems so unnecessarily complicated and a breeding grounds for meta people just wrecking everyone online. The tracks look nice, but the gameplay itself is boring (slow) yet also way too complex at the same time.

Not caring about the details of your IP is how you end up with Metroid Other M and Federation Force. I don't think Nintendo wants to make those mistakes again. This artist should understand that and if they don't like it, then work on a new IP. Protecting the parity your brand is huge!

Something is off about this quote:

So, this sounds like $4,000 was NOT the initial offer. Could she have gotten a better offer initially, but then pushed for more, and Kamiya didn't like her response so he lowballed her at $4,000?
Not saying that's what happened, but this comment above is very oddly stated and trips some red flags for me. I think there is more to this than we are being lead to believe.

I'm glad we got Dread at least this year. But, Nintendo has gotta give us Prime Trilogy HD to hold us over while we wait forever for Prime 4.

@Cia You could still use a gamecube controller in the trilogy on first two games. I thought it made the experience better myself. It would obviously let you do either in order for it to be portable.

Criminally underrated. People at the time were just protesting "waggle" after being burnt out on motion controls. This game actually handled the controls well for the most part, but it didn't matter at the time. Anything they saw that had motion controls was cast into the fire. I will say this isn't the best Zelda gameplay-wise. It isn't terrible though by any means. Just was fetchy in some parts and had a few gimmicks to it. But the story, I could argue could be the best written of all. Especially, with character development (Groose! C'mon!). They definitely did a better job with Zelda and Link's relationship than most other games.

Funny observation. In a world where 8k is out and 4k is standard now, People are more excited that a Nintendo game is being upgraded from 480p to 720p lol!

Considering this revision almost changes nothing and improves almost nothing, what did anyone expect? This isn't worth anything to anyone who is an existing Switch owner. Especially, at a $50 price increase.

@Ghost_of_Hasashi Huh? My outdated Galaxy S9 displays 2k (1440p). There is no excuse to not push the already docked 1080p on an OLED screen more than twice as big as my phone.
