Great news! Might try Golf Story now.
Definitely getting Golf Story, Yooka-Laylee, and Oceanhorn. Hope the price isn't too unfriendly.
I just finished Yooka Laylee to 100% days ago, but part of me reeeeeeally wants the physical version because I’m an irrational collector...
They revealed a game called Double Switch, which is basically the spiritual successor to Night Trap that plays a lot better, and they don't even have the most basic sense to get it on Switch. They should just close their business down now.
Awesome!! Night Trap first for me!!
Bought Oceanhorn when it first came out on iOS for $8 and never finished it. Even with a MFi controller, it was hard to control. Too easy to fall off steps, kept annoying me.
Will probably get some of these, such as Golf Story and Dust: An Elysian Tail (didn't know that was coming to Switch). Also might get Night Trap just for the sake of it being on a Nintendo platform after what happened in 90's.
@TheOpponent I also don’t like that they charge you in advance, before the game ships. Who does that? You couldn’t get away with that in any other business. "Pay for the car now, and I’ll delivery it when I feel like it", "Pay for the house now, I’ll let you move in some time later". So ridiculous!
Wait, what? Dust: An Elysian Tail is coming to Switch?
That game is absolutely fantastic.
Still waiting on a sale for Yooka.......... ....... ........
Nice! Yooka Laylee and Layers were two of my top games I wanted to go physical. Dust is also a welcome announcement.
Dust: An Elysian Tail on Switch? For real?! That's going on the must-buy list this instant!
Yawn 😴
@WaveBoy I've heard good about it for fans of the 3D collectathon platformers. Sounds right up my alley personally.
I’m gonna get golf story and I feel slightly guilty for wanting night trap but I’m intrigued every time I read a bad review for that game
Physical Yooka-Laylee? Finally. I might have to buy it again just for that.
@Gs69 You can enjoy just about everything there is to be had with Night Trap in a stream of it. I have the game for Sega CD, and while it is a neat piece of history it isn't something that I would consider a must-play.
Wait, OCEANHORN ?!
YESSS..!!
I hope 99Vidas coming quickly on Switch and got Physical release too (after being released on ps4 & ps vita version).
Glad I waited on buying Yooka Laylee... I don’t like taking up download space.
Night Trap is day one for me! I'm really hoping that Double Switch finds it's way to Switch! Man, now we need Tomcat Alley, Corpse Killer, Dracula Unleashed, and Ground Zero Texas!
Bravo to the Limited Run team on their presentation! Decent announcements and the QA session afterwards revealed a young small company excited to satisfy the "physical release" fans as much as possible.
By the way, Saturday Morning RPG 2 was announced in development during the QA.
I'm excited for the Yooka-Laylee physical (glad I waited) but unfortunately I was left disappointed they didn't address the fans who were asking about physical Stardew Valley Switch! 😕
Glad I held out on getting Yooka Laylee, just hope I can pre-order before it sells out... and shipping costs to Europe aren't too painful!
Glad I waited on Yooka-Laylee! Hopefully a good sale doesn't tempt me to go digital anyway.
@Thisismycomment same here! I had high hopes as well regarding Oceanhorn and tried it iPhone, iPad and ATV but never fell for it, besides from almost everywhere in the game haha
dust looks good.
RIP Yooka-Laylee getting a release that's not limited.
Yes! I knew this would happen. I'd been holding off on Yooka-Laylee and Golf Story in hopes of physical version. Color me delighted!
Extremely happy to see Dust and Cosmic Star Heroine. Also Layers is a nice surprise. And I want an extra special Golf Story CE...
Anyway, I doubt I can resist buying them all.
@KingMike Preorders for Switch games allow a two week window to purchase. Maybe not ideal, but plenty of time to sort out if you are really interested. I'm very thankful that we are not at the mercy of a true limited run.
Cosmic Star Heroine is coming to Switch! And Dust Elysian Tale!
Please and thank you, and I'll also take that Golf Story.
@WaveBoy Yooka Laylee May be worth paying but I don’t think it’s worth the $30 or $40 I imagine LRG will be selling the physical for. The fact it’s dated isn’t so much the issue (although it is), but the game lacks polish. Cameras feel bad, controls don’t feel terrific and there’s entire maps that are aweful which is an issue when there’s only five of them.
I’d suggest if you love 3D platformer you get it on sale digitally for a fraction of the price, unless you must have physical.
I love 3D platformer but I’d rather play Banjo Kazooie again than finish this game (I got 3/4 of the way in and went into something else).
NIGHTTRAP!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow they managed to snag rights to publish golf story! I thought surely some bigger publisher would try to cash in on that easy money, but I guess no one cared enough so LRG just waltzed in. Easy money. I'm really not sure why Cosmic Star Heroines for switch didn't release with the versions on PS4 and Vita, what a bizarre move, but I'm happy. Zeboyd makes fun games.
Thinking about getting Golf Story again as a physical release that game deserves all the Support needed for a sequel!
They can keep Oceanhorn. Completely regretted that I bought this trash. Beside the visuals it was absolutely unpolished. Dumb story, imprecise controls and this voice acting... Even Gabon turned in his grave when someone compared this Game to Zelda!
interested in legacy of fear physical.
The only game I downloaded on my Switch was Oceanhorn. It's a really good game but stiff. Had I known it would get a physical copy, I'd have held off. Though the markup is nuts. $40 for the physical but only $10 for the digital. The carts can't be that expensive to manufacture.
Well no secret I am sick of retro/pixel art games on Switch. But Cosmic Star Heroin was one of the last pixel art games I played before moving on - and it was pretty good.
I played it on VITA, and it was really great on the go. Super old school turn based RPG.
It has a "very positive" rating on Steam

I was really hoping for Hollow Knight myself.
I love physical games, but I also like a good deal, and hate to double dip. I won’t be getting any of these.
@Magrane "By the way, Saturday Morning RPG 2 was announced in development during the QA."
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Definitely getting Yooka-Laylee. and Night Trap as a big middle finger to Howard Lincoln, just because I'm old enough to remember those hearings, and I'm completely irrational like that.
@Thisismycomment You mean like how Tesla charged people $1000 to preorder a car that wasn't even in production yet? And still hasn't come out many years later?
Just Night Trap for me.
I was interested in a wide retail release of Yooka Laylee, but with Super Mario Odyssey in my arsenal and the Crash trilogy on the way soon, I have my 3D platforming itch covered. It's a case of too little too late at this point, and the mediocre reviews certainly didn't help.
Layers of Fear is tempting, but I'd rather save my coin for the expensive (and currently exclusive to Japan) Closed Nightmare. If it includes English subtitles, I'm definitely sold on that.
This is great news, predicatable but great.
I really hope at least Yooka-Laylee comes to Europe with normal distribution, because Limited Run Games are instantly out of stock and expensive. A 40 € digital game is a game that has a retail version, and in this case it doesn't, which is an anomaly that must be fixed.
Im getting them all! Already ordered oceanhorn. Going for a complete LRG switch collection (oceanhorn is not numbered, so technically not part of the collection though)
@Moroboshi876 up until now it has been open pre order for a limited time though om switch games, so no stress that u can't get one in time. And dont count on any retail release of these games after LRG. that happens very rarely
@Gowtu_Games I just was in LRG website and Yooka-Laylee isn't available for preorder. Anyway it would be more expensive, much more, than getting it for 20 on Xbox One with free shipping with Amazon. I'm sorry, I can pay the extra Switch tax and I've done it several times, but not if it's a 20 vs 45.
@Moroboshi876 yeah nothing to do about the Prince. The pre-order is limited though. It opens up at a set time and closes 3 weeks or so later. So still limited but not sold out in 5 minutes.
Boxed edition of Dust for Switch?
Don't think anyone saw that coming, but that's delightful!
@Gowtu_Games So we have to spend days with the finger over F5 in order to know when it's available for preorder?
@Moroboshi876 it will be in august, the exact date Will be anounced a week or two in advance. Just have to check in regularly around that time.
