Other then the racetrack being a bit cluttered, F-Zero 99 is fantastic! Definitely better then PAC-MAN 99, although Super Mario 35 will always be my favorite of the retro battle royale games...
I found the trailer kind of hilarious, showing footage that looked like it hadn't been updated, than screen wiping to footage that barely looked any different. Lara's model was the only thing that noticably looked better to me.
Seeing Diddy Kong in Mario Kart is causing my brain to double take. It's saying that Diddy Kong should be on Donkey Kong's back throwing banana peels rather than driving.
@Zaruboggan Playing Co-op Pikmin 2 is one of my fondest memories, especially once Mr. President becomes playable, but Pikmin 3's story mode was locked to single player, and wasn't made multiplayer until Deluxe, that's probably one of the main reasons I think 2 is greater than 3.
Everyone is excited about TTYD, but I don't fully understand the appeal. I just recently tried to play through the original Paper Mario and found that the over world travel is extraordinarily slow and the combat breaks down into trading blows with the opponent and hoping they die first. Better than the modern Paper Marios, but not enough strategy for a turn based RPG. I was hoping for something a bit more exciting for a "one last thing".
And another app goes onto life support. Makes me wonder why Nintendo ever thought the phone market was ever a good idea, they clearly weren't making as much as they wanted.
@Roibeard64 If you try watch the show from beginning to end (good luck with that) there's a massive change midway through the Hoenn seasons when the dub actors were changed. After that characters like Brock seemed to have a completely different personality and it became a lot harder to watch for me.
@sanderev I also love the original, although... I never technically played it... I absolutely hated the Movie, so I watched a long play to see how it compared. In my opinion, the game far exceeds the movie in a number of ways. I am VERY excited to see if Detective Pikachu Returns successfully builds on the perplexing ending of the original.
@Znake The Dragon part was the only part I found fitting a climactic ending. Sure it wasn't challenging, but it was grandiose.
The rest of the fight felt WAY easier and simpler then the final boss in Twilight Princess. I think Demon King Ganon should of had at least one more phase before giving up and eating his hand... I mean Secret Stone.
I thought Zelda turning back to normal would have had a better effect of there was any explanation for it. Rauru's ghost appears, stares at Link, and suddenly Zelda is falling from the sky. If Rauru had the power of anti-draconification, he should have spoken up earlier!
I had high hopes that Fugibayashi would be able to "complete" the Zelda timeline with TotK, given that he pretty much created it with Skyward Sword. Unfortunately, it seems he was never planning on tying those games together.
Also, contrary to Hyrule Historia and popular belief, Four Swords Adventures does NOT take place after Twilight Princess. Where it does take place is up for debate, but I really liked FIXING The ZELDA TIMELINE by Zelda Lore. Part One explains the timeline, and Part Two fits TotK into it.
@RR529 My thoughts exactly! I've been sitting on the demo, but haven't played it yet because I wasn't sold on the art style. The Japanese box art is far more intriguing to me.
@shining_nexus @rjejr Don't forget Overcooked 2! I would like to recommend Overcooked 1 as well, but that game led to some heated arguments over who screwed up which orders.
This online play is incredible! From what I've seen of it, the Souls-style live player ghosts seems like a great innovation to multi-player. My only concern is how long Nintendo will keep the servers running, before they shut it down like a Ninji Speedrun.

Re: Internal Xbox Email Details Desire To Acquire Nintendo
I love the implied idea that Phil Spencer wants to own EVERY game-making company. But no mention of Sony.
Nobody wants Sony...
Re: Spooky Fishing Sim 'Dredge' Reels In Boat Customisation And More In Today's Free Update
@OldManHermit I agree, a happy ending that resolved all the mysteries would have just ruined the entire point of the game.
I didn't think the game needed DLC so I'm a bit confused on what they think they could add.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Princess Peach: Showtime! On Switch
@Sequel I am almost certain that it's built in the same engine as Luigi's Mansion 3. Peach even has the exact same suitcase!
Re: F-ZERO 99: Tips & Tricks - How To Win Races, Everything You Need To Know
I found that I could take tight turns better if I DIDN'T use the L and R drift buttons, I might be timing it wrong or something.
@Serpenterror Wait, there's a brake button!?

I'm not crying! Shut up!

Re: Demon Slayer's Mario Party-Style Game Is Rolling Out A Western Release In 2024
I don't know how people can watch any anime that DOESN'T have a Mario Party-like video game adaptation. It's a must for any manga or anime!

Re: Review: Super Bomberman R 2 - A Feature-Rich Return With A Cracking New 'Castle' Mode
Is Bomberman R the "New" Super Mario Bros. of the Bomberman series?
Unrelated: I miss Super Mario Bros. 35
Re: Team Shiver Walks Away With Another Win In Splatoon 3's Latest Splatfest
Pretty weird that Splatoon 3 introduced the Tri-Color Splatfest just so that you could choose between Shiver and Big Man.

Well, at least there's still Fire Emblem Heroes.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: New Super Mario Bros.
New Super Mario Bros. wasn't ACTUALLY as lifeless as the rest of the 'New' series.
But the box art absolutely was.
Re: Poll: Who Will You Be Playing As In Super Mario Bros. Wonder?
The game's one flaw is that you can't play with a full squad of Luigis.

Re: Video: It's Finally Time To Talk About Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Ending
I was shocked by how simple the Ganondorf fight was. I went in with heavy armor, and he couldn't even hurt me.
He was way easier then the boss rush that led up to him, and didn't even play a round of dead man's volley (Ganondorf's signature move).
The whole fight seemed to be a joke based around Ganondorf's health bar.

Re: Nintendo Announces Two New Animal Crossing: New Horizons-Themed Switch Lites, Out October
I haven't touched ACNH for about 6 months now. It's been dead since Nintendo chose not to add the 2023 Archway.
