E3 is just around the corner now, and with the internet abuzz with ideas and predictions I thought I'd throw my personal list of expectations into the mix.
That being said serious videos aren't really my preference, so alongside this straight-laced symphony is a hard mewling of stupid, totally unfathomable ideas that I compiled with the help of some particularly lovely people on Twitter.
If you're in the market for some genuine discussion, check out the video above. If however you're just here for a good laugh, the video below should be more your cup of tea.
What do you want to see at E3?

Hype!
They'll announce the new open world Zelda for 3DS.
Mario Odyssey
Mario Rabbids game
Xenoblade 2
Fire Emblem Warriors
Splatoon 2
Dragon Quest XI
Call of Duty World War
Thats my prediction
METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID!METROID! METROID! METROID!
@SLIGEACH_EIRE
Yes. I'll take either 2-D like Fusion or 3-D like Prime.
@Juma009
Yeah I'm hoping for Dragon Quest XI. Also would love to get that Mana collection localized and a new Animal Crossing for Switch.
I am hoping for Pikmin 4 and a new Metroid Prime, it would be great if they announced a Pokémon game for the Switch as well.
GC VC
F-zero
Metroid!
The direct is 30 minutes and is focused on Switch. Doubt there'll be "showmanship" or Ever Oasis
Limited Edition Console/Joy-cons for Super Mario Odyssey
No Metroid
ARMS-Splatoon 2-Super Mario Odyssey-2DS Info
UBiSoft: Rabbids and Steep Update
Elder Scrolls Update
Yeah, no limb climbing here . . . .
Waverace it's on its way......
I never see any predictions mention Fire Emblem Warriors. Have people forgotten that exists?
No! I need the official score card pencil!
Nintendo, you're dead to me.
Pokemon Stars!
People will keep on setting themselves up for disappointment by expecting a Metroid every time E3 comes around. I mean, it'd be great if I had to eat my words a few days from now, miraculously... but I really doubt it.
I would love for any of the long wanted announcements (F-Zero, Metroid). I would be really jazzed if we got word of the next proper Animal Crossing game.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE It'd be on Switch, not Wii U, so don't get too excited.
I'm really hoping they give us some Skyrim Switch details... And that they are a wonderful stack of unexpected surprises, exclusive to the Switch.
Metroid and Animal Crossing, both for Switch, are my bets as new announcements.
Fingers crossed!
I like going into these things with an open mind and being pleasantly surprised rather than building my hopes up and being crushed. Hopefully loads of motion control games and amiibo heavy titles, just for the backlash.
Saying that though a Sega Model 3 Classics Collection would be a very nice thing to happen even though it never will.
E3 spoilers right here, 100% correct or your money back
Mario Odyssey scrapped, replaced with Waluigi Odyssey
Mario & Rabbids Kingdom battle scrapped, replaced with Waluigi & Warabbids Kingdom battle
Nintendo Switch variant with waluigi colored controllers
BoTW DLC pack 3 detailed, bet you can guess what the W stands for now
no metroid or f-zero ever
I'm not expecting this but my wish is a Great Ace Attorney Adventures Dual Pack announcement for 3DS/Switch!!! ...does Capcom go to E3?
I'll just leave this here and walk away:
Final Fantasy Collection (I - X) for Switch
I only expect them to reveal games that are due out this year and Q1 18. A playable demo of Mario is a no-brainer. Metroid is my favorite Nintendo franchise, and as much as I would like to see it I'm not holding my breath about it. Wouldn't be surprised about a potential Smash Deluxe. More indie games. And we'll see if corny Capcom has anything to reveal about Switch games since they were so bent on requesting for more ram for the system.
@Olmectron You mean 'Breath of the Wild'? I sure would love to play that on my New 3DS as I won't be getting a Switch until they announce a Switch Pro and it goes on sale but it's a technical powerhouse even for the Switch. I would still love it since I wouldn't have to pay more than $40 for it.
Footage of FE switch 2018 and the unnamed kirby game. New stuff I hope to see golden sun ,metroid , vc and a new ip.
Thirty minutes' worths of reveals. To me, a Switch port of Sm4sh with Ice Climbers in it wouldn't be that hard to pull off, same for a definitive Mario Maker. With the flying-pigs stuff out of the way... hmmm.
Virtual Console starting with E3 would help the Switch pick up steam, other than that though I have no idea as to what we could get.
Which is awesome on its own right, given no expectations means easy crowd-pleasers.
@ap0001

More like Waluigi and Wabbits.
I just want to know if my VC games are going to be forever locked to the Wii U.
@mjharper
Nice suggestions but think 1 - 6 and 8 - 10 are better option with the 7 remake
I'm going to make my own outrageous prediction and say Scalebound has moved to Switch and will be announced at e3.
@ollietaro No, I mean a new Zelda for the 3DS, that is more open world than A Link Between Worlds was.
I don't mean a BOtW style-like game visually, I just mean the sense of open world.
Animal Crossing: amiibo festival Deluxe edition for Switch confirmed!
Please let there be a reveal for Animal Crossing Switch.
What I'm hoping for...
I know some of these seem highly unlikey 😆
@Arnold-Kage Ha, yes. I did that on purpose. I don't want FF7 Remake, give me the OG FF7.
I think Animal Crossing is a good bet to make. New Leaf was out in 2012 in Japan, so I think it is due for a new one. As for Metroid, boy I hope so for everyone's sake, but I will keep my expectations in check and say no for now. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't like to be disappointed.
I want Animal Crossing Switch, The Sims 4, Dance Dance Revolution, Story of Seasons, FF XII appears on Switch.
New IP from Retro Studios please!
Yeah, both solid lists.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE What we want:
METROID METROID METROID!
What we will get:
Metroid: Crystal Pulse
Rhythm dance game.
For 3DS.
I'd love an article so I don't have to watch a video.
One thing I do expect from "surprises" is some of those unnamed piles of new IP "showcasing the JoyCon controllers" Koizumi was talking about. We will all be annoyed by it, it would likely be mini games and party games featuring motion control and IR camera usage. But we know they're making such things, and I'm certain we'll see one or more of them.
Senran Kagura. Hey, we need something to cheer us up from being depressed with the gaping void not being occupied by a real Metroid game. I bet squishing fake silicone Jello feels as good as squishing space bugs... Right?!?
Nor expecting much new.
The calendar as it stands looks like
June - ARMS
July - Splatoon 2
August - Kingdom Battle
September - Pokken
Q4 - FE Warriors, Mario, Xenoblade 2
A game a month. If Nintendo really want to push the Switch there's maybe room for one or two more but they'll only be smaller games.
So as new announcements I'll go for - Pikmin 4 for 2017 or Q1 2018, Smash port for Q1 2018, COD WW2 or a remaster, a Western release for Monster Hunter in 2017, some new Indie announcements (Rocket League, Mini Metro, Papers Please, more details on Seasons of Heaven).
Unlikely but you never know would be a Western release for the Mana collection and a VC launch date with Mother 3 leading.
However even that feels optimistic.
Best to go in expecting very little. As much as I'd love to see new Advance Wars, Metroid, F-Zero and Paper Mario:TTYD2 announced along with a Sega collaboration on a Panzer Dragoon Saga remake it ain't gonna happen.
ARMS is already going to be the game of the year. It doesn't really matter what else they release.
I still dont really believe the rumored rabbids thing is real
@Olmectron I'd be happy for a new Zelda game anytime for 3DS but we've already gotten three (plus Hyrule Warriors Legends) and there have typically been 2-3 per console so I don't know. But I get what you're saying to have a completely new one as all 3DS releases have been based on past games. They have all been new experiences for me, however. I never played the N64 games.
@mjharper "Final Fantasy Collection (I - X) for Switch"
Omg..yes, please!!!
If the Nintendo presentation is only 30 minutes, I doubt it will have much, if any, 3ds news. If that's the case, I hope we get a 3ds direct after e3.
I'm not anticipating getting excited about much this e3, since I don't have a switch. I hope to be pleasantly surprised, though!
For revealed titles, I'd like to see more Battle Chasers: Nightwar. That's my prediction for this year's sleeper indie hit. It's going to be awesome.
For unnanounced games, I'd like to hear some heavy-hitter third-parties are coming over...like CoD or Madden. If they need their own stripped down versions like FIFA, so be it.
From Nintendo I expect/want Metroid. It's what the people want. Give it to them.
@Fist_of_Belial
Aw, been triggered Snowflake?
I reckon we will get some scary themed game. Either Luigi's Mansion or Eternal Darkness will make a return and released this Halloween.
Meh?
I can appreciate these expectations but honestly will be a little disappointing even if all of them come true (a new Metroid goes in my unrealistic expectations bucket haha)
@Fist_of_Belial - Right on brother! Merica! What ARE these "Brits" thinking on this UK website?!? They should be pandering to US! USA! USA! USA! USA!
Dragon Quest Monsters games hopefully get localized. Want to play Joker 3 in English. Give us Dragon Quest Warriors games in English.
Its really hard to predict now we hear the direct will be around 30mins. I think Arms and Splatoon 2 will be the focus of the Treehouse along with any 3DS stuff.
I think Mario Odyssey will take up to 10 mins of the direct, then will be 4/5 sections lasting upto 5 mins.
3rd Party Showcase (Starts with Fifa ends with a Skyrim release)
Wii U Ports/Deleuxe (Smash & Mario Maker)
Indies
Fire Emblem Warriors
Suprise 3rd Party teaser COD WWII or Battlefront 2
Xenoblade 2
And One final thing - From Retro Studios goes black and we see through a visor goes black Coming Q1 2018
President Trump! Say it snowflakes say it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Fist_of_Belial - Maybe you two can get together and start your own site where intellectuals gather to call each other children and stupids? Sounds like a fun site. Smart people only.
Hopefully Smash 4 Switch with Ice Climbers, Wolf, maybe Inklings, and possibly Alph split off into his own character?
Metroid Prime Pinball 2 !!!!
How about Nintendo Switch versions of Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Pokemon Go, and Magikarp Jump?
My predictions, first party games only:
Guaranteed:
Super Mario Odyssey
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Fire Emblem Warriors
Splatoon 2
50/50 Shot:
Arms (launch trailer only)
Pokken Tournament DX
Next years mainline Fire Emblem game
An enhanced port of Super Smash Bros
A new Animal Crossing game
A Pikmin "4" or Pikmin reboot
A new Metroid game
Retro's new game (if it isn't already Metroid)
Choose one from: Mario & Sonic, Mario Party, Mario "Type of Sport"
Never happening:
A mainline Pokémon game for Switch that is coming in 2017
F-Zero
Golden Sun
Advance Wars
@SEGATA_DREAMCAST
Unless all the leaked images were completely faked by some incredibly talented French professional video game artist with way too much time in his/her hands, Mario X Rabbids is 100% real.
I believe a Japanese gaming event even tweeted about it, confirming its existence, so yeah...it's real.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I am a genie and I decided to grant your wish, but since every wish needs to have an ironic downside they will be announcing "Metroid Other M DX" for the Switch this E3.
I'm the only one in existence, but I want an announcement of the localization of Yo-Kai Watch 3. The third version of YKW2 this autumn isn't my cup of tea, I want the next installment.
Keeping my expectations low for the Switch side of things. I mostly expect Mario Odyssey to be the highlight and little else.
No Metroid, we riot!
Prediction: Reggie will appear during the live Treehouse broadcast, having recently had portions of his body surgically removed and a fully functional Metroid Fusion Suit grafted on. He will say "My body is cybernetically ready...for Metroid!" before announcing FIVE new Metroid games. Then he kills everyone in the Treehouse with his Charge Beam.
@Fist_of_Belial
Not to be a political scum, but the issues you're talking about, if I understand correctly, are about the terrorist Attacks which are of course horrible and need to be stopped. But these issues started because America started taking from the middle east. I really don't want to be rude, but if you react this way because jokes are being made about Trump, I don't think it compares. Trump his situation isn't optimal and so is the situation in the UK.
Jokes are sometimes satire but are meant to be funny. And Attacking someone from NL because they Made a joke about the situation in America is just a waste of your time....
Definitely trying to keep my expectations low (can't deny the hype is real though), but here's my wishlist:
-Super Mario Odyssey: Primarily, a RELEASE DATE, and maybe a Switch bundle.
-Pikmin 4.
-Luigi's Mansion 3 by Next Level Games (LOVED Dark Moon from them).
-Smash, whether it's a port/HD remake/new entry...Smash.
-A new IP.
-Return of an old IP?
-No more than one Wii U port.
I don't have any idea what Nintendo has in store for E3, but I have a feeling Nintendo is gonna win it this year.
All seriousness aside, though, DUCK HUNT REMASTERED! lol
@bimmy-lee random question: why is this site a .com and not a .uk? Not trying to start anything just actually curious. I know .uk sites exist. Can anyone in the world start a .com site?
@Fist_of_Belial
if its worth taking seriously, its worth making fun of.
Also, videogames.
Now bring on E3...(and bring down dRumpf) #merika
@Alikan - Good question, and I don't have an honest answer. I've always assumed anyone anywhere can start a .com, but that's an assumption. I worked for a digital publisher for a while, and we converted physical content for digital use. All of our UK clients had .uk sites.
@Floof_Cat Magikarp Splash HD! Heck, just make it a full open world adventure, 100+ hours of gameplay!
@Fist_of_Belial - We just weren't getting out of this without learning about some of your social and political beliefs, were we? Is that it? Are you done? Can we get back to completely blowing our E3 expectations out of proportion?
@Alikan .com is literally for anybody, there already is an internet country code for the US (literally .us) though I rarely see it used.
@westman98 sorry didn't know there were fans of the idea. Also fyi there are tons of people that can do digital "art", its not that rare to see. And if you think its so certain why not put it in your list of guaranteed games? Do you not consider mario first party? lol
@SEGATA_DREAMCAST personally not a fan of the game but how do you still think it's not real? Ubisoft themselves confirmed it.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID! I will burn you down Retro if you do not give us METROID! METROID! METROID! METROID!
@ImagineerNik Some people genuinely wish it didn't exist anymore; though in general, Nintendo fans have the odd tendency to be Westaboos also.
@bimmy-lee Isn't that the internet (and much of the current generation) already?
Though, I will say: the joke did come off as rather smarmy and hypocritical.
But this is the same site that gives regular updates on emulator progress while barring discussion of them on the forums, so integrity probably isn't the highest on their list.
I think this is finally the year Mother 3 comes to the US. Animal Crossing for the Switch is a possibility. I don't think Metroid will be there. Luigi's Mansion or Skyward Sword HD.
My off the wall prediction would be a new Kid Icarus for the Switch. With Mario Odyssey already announced, I just don't see another big game.
Also I'd love a new Animal Crossing for Switch with the graphics used in the MK8 DLC. That would be lovely. Oh and METROID!
@ShadJV Well it doesnt really matter what i think, but that one dude was being annoying about it lol. Meh whatever if it happens it happens. not like i even own a switch. Just doesnt really seem like somethin nintendo would approve of
@SEGATA_DREAMCAST I mean I'm personally surprised by the game's existence but Ubisoft did confirm they are indeed working on it so Nintendo must've approved it. If anything I'd guess the leaked images were either poorly translated pitches (Ubisoft is French after all) or stuff from early design that wasn't passed by Nintendo yet. I'm still not expecting foul language in a game with Mario. Either way, I've little interest in it either, Rabbids are not something I care for, I just was noting it is in fact confirmed at this point. Hopefully it's shown during Ubisoft's conference only, I'd rather not have any of the limited 30 minute Nintendo presentation be spent on that (sad thing is it probably will anyways though).
@ShadJV Indeed
Whenever you get the feeling you dont like the rabbids thing that much, and then you spend time around kids mimicking the sound they make and it just confirms you dont like it. lol
I don't want much just all the games on a portable console (cough SWITCH cough).
Realistic prediction: Mario + Rabbids is as cringe-worthy as you'd expect.
Unrealistic prediction: Metroid.
Non-Nintendo prediction: Monster Hunter 5 is revealed at Sony's conference, PS4 exclusive. Major meltdowns from Nintendo fans ensue.
We know Mario Odyssey will feature in the presentation, so ... not prediction.
I agree on SSB Deluxe, this is basically a given, though I am not sure about the timing. Might be "delayed" in order to not split the audience between this, Pokken and Arms, plus it's a winner to pad out the release schedule somewhere down the road - for example with the inevitable delay of Xenoblade
I'd be surprised if we don't find out what Retro has been doing since 2014. I'd be equally surprised if we don't see trailers FE Warriors, ARMS, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade and the BotW DLC.
Considering they also have to cover some 3DS stuff most likely, this will not actually leave them much room for new reveals. It's worth mentioning though, that they have used the Treehouse segments to show off new games before, and obviously there are bound to be more Directs in the course of this year.
I'd love for them to really show of a bunch of new games, esp. for the Switch, but I don't know ... I think it's unrealistic. They had no way of knowning how folks would respond to the Switch, so it seems to me, aside from one or two surprises for E3, they would have at least hinted at these potential games back in January.
After all the really lackluster E3s of recent years, I just don't expect this much out of this one, because nothing has really changed:
Nintendo is obviously still strugglin with HD development, they are still overtaxed with handling two systems, seeing as the 3DS was - for better or worse - not really abandoned, and 3rd party support is still next to inexistent.
@ShadJV thanks! I'd been wondering for a few years and wikipedia/google never really gave a definitive answer.
As always, I say stop over-hyping yourself. This was just proven with the Pokemon Direct. Our imaginations ran rampant and when we didn't get it, it was a let down. Keep your expectations low and it will be better.
@LinkSword Or some people don't lose their minds when things don't go as they wish. I'm expecting a Metroid game but will not lose my mind if they don't announce it.
@Trikeboy I keep saying the same thing, yet time and time again people build their hopes up. Still, it makes for fun reading the next day.
Jeez, how the heck did this thread turn from what should be pure, unadulterated E3 hype, into a political war zone?
Please, people: it was a joke even if it was a bad one, but just let it go already and let's focus on all the great stuff that the next E3 is going to bring us. And the pre-events are already starting this saturday, so let's get hyped!
Wishlist:
1. Virtual Console info
2. More internet plan info
3. SNES mini so not real
4. Mario Party
5. A 2D Mario
@zool Oh man, that game alone being announced would already make the entire E3 great for me. Throw in 1080 Snowboarding HD while you're at it as well, and it'll be the best E3 in years and for years to come...
@IceClimbers while I wouldn't be affected much because I own a PS4, I'd say that would be unlikely. Monster Hunter sales on Sony playtforms were a fraction of the sales they got on Nintendo platforms... and that's with a smaller install base compared to PS2. MH is one of Capcom's most profitable series and one they don't care to tinker with - the formula has been the same pretty much throughout the series (a formula which does better on a handheld regardless, the 3DS version of 3U vastly outsold the Wii) and they are have been using the same models for several generations now (pushing the graphics envelope hardly seems to interest them). Once again, if they make MH5 a PS4 exclusive, cool, I'll just buy it there (only complaint will be I can't take the game with me), but ultimately it would be shooting themselves in the foot, they'd be leaving one of their few current cash cows for a complete gamble.
Granted, the irony is huge, the first game series that Nintendo releases a special edition Switch for (well, a dock) ends up abandoning it. However, I still say it's unlikely. I'd sooner believe MH5 will be 3DS than PS4 (once again, 3DS was printing money for them, PS2 MH sales were mediocre at best).
HEY ALEX:
1 - your a Brit so regarding what's been happening in your country lately, you shouldn't be talking.
2 - again, you are a Brit, not from the US, so you have no idea as to what you are talking about in regards to both the failures of Reggie and the accomplishments of President Trump.
So, because you are a Liberal/Labour leaning person, who doesn't really understand how the world works, I'm going to stay away from each and every one of your posts, articles and videos from now on.
Retro is going to surprise everyone with a new Luigi's Mansion.
HEY ALEX. 1. Keep making those jokes about American politics. Only whinny Americans get offended and who really cares. Our whole political system is one big joke anyway.
Animal Crossing Switch would be the best possible reveal.
I'd be real happy if the Switch VC is available 'straight after this presentation'
@Fist_of_Belial - I'm impressed with your knowledge of current world events, your advocacy for the victims of human atrocity, and the empathy you must feel for those people. I'm being honest. It's just that, if other people have told you this isn't the place for that kind of discussion; it's because isn't the place for that kind of discussion. Trump potshots don't count, good, bad, smarmy or otherwise. We signed up for this back in November. The rest of the world gets to do this.
@Alikan There is also a .us domain. Why don't all American sites use that?
@brandonbwii Nintendo did make another of Platinum's babies come to fruition, so id love to see scalebound resurrected.
Hold on. I thought it was confirmed that Retro Studios was working on a new IP?
I just want to see a Drill Dozer sequel. The first one was so good.
@SEGATA_DREAMCAST
Mario X Rabbids is a Ubisoft published game. It will probably be shown at the Nintendo Spotlight, but there is a chance it isn't and it appears at Ubisoft's press conference only.
@ThanosReXXX - Does 1080HD have legs, or is that from your wish list? That would be a very exciting announcement, as would Waverace.
I will make one prediction and that is, despite my already low expectations I will still be disappointed by Nintendo's E3 announcements.
@Kejomo very good question. I think people just use whatever seems best, unless one has an advantage over the other.
With the video picture, I was expecting an Animal Crossing prediction! I would adore an Animal Crossing game on Switch...not that I have one yet, but I feel like in a year or two's time would be a massive enough gap after New Leaf? While I hope Retro makes another 3D Metroid game...I'd be just as excited for a new project from them...or maybe they could work on a new 2D metroid <3 <3 <3
@Gold_Ranger rofl dude it's always the conservatives that are the biggest snowflakes. let people make light jokes on both sides of the 'political divide' and try to enjoy your day a little more.
@Fist_of_Belial wanna hear a Canadian's opinion? who cares, I can criticize the government of Canada, Britain, and the USA if I care to. As can Alex, as can you. Why so defensive? Upset that Donald Trump hasn't made America great again? Well, in your defense (not that I believe it), maybe he will! Until then, perhaps you can chill out and let people on either side of politics (or those on the fringe, like myself) crack jokes and not attack each other for it. It's a joke. It's not coming from a smug place, nearly all politicians are awful. A lot of people just happen to think that Donald is a lot more awful. You're free to disagree. Try cracking a lighthearted joke about Alex minding his own business next time, instead of getting all aggro!
Yikes this comment section went downhill real fast. Never thought a video about E3 would get people all political.
I better hide my Breath of the Wild copy from Nintendo!
While I'm so hyped for e3, I'm going to list some reasons for a smash port to be released incredibly soon for Switch and announced at E3 2017.
1. If the Switch is a hybrid console that focuses heavily on local multiplayer, than Nintendo needs it's best fighter and party type game.
2. Nintendo had already shown that they are willing to release fighting games within in the same year of each other with ARMS and Pokken DX.
3a. The time for Wii U ports is running slim, and smash is really the only game people still want ported.
3b. This is an incredibly easy game to port since the graphics between Wii U and Switch are close in comparison
4. If Nintendo wants to really sell this idea of the Switch to 3rd parties than a smash port needs to come quickly.
I think a new smash should add some more characters and stages as well as 3DS stages, and maybe some new modes as well. Also all DLC will be added and more free or paid DLC will come trough drip def content. I think this is the perfect time for Nintendo to pull the trigger.
@ap0001
When can I pre order?
@westman98 okay. cool?
ARMS amiibo should definitely happen sometime. Even if they don't do anything in the game. Such strong character designs and have potential for ridiculously dynamic poses.
Make it happen Nintendo! XD
At least you didn't put Gamecube VC in the stupid ideas bucket. Mario Sunshine, I miss you.
@arekdougy
The problem though is that this has been a non-stop parade of shi7 directed towards President Trump because the murderous traitor Clinton lost the election. She and her cronies have does so much to undermine his presidency so far. Nothing President Trump does will be met without hostility or combat. They lied and made up the Russian connection. They illegally ended the travel ban. They want his tax forms exposed. Yet these same people want to let in mass murderers, failed to provide proof of the arab/muslim Obama's Hawai'ian birth record and killed the person who had proof that he wasn't born here. They are working with Nazi War criminals to destroy this country. Staging paid riots and marches. So yeah, we're sick of the crap and just want peace. Let the man do his job!
People need to lower their expectations cause they are setting up for disappointment. Nintendo will just show us more of what we already know and maybe 1 or 2 games that are coming in 2018 but that will be all. No AC, no Pokemon, no Metroid, etc. will be shown at E3.
I'm really hoping they announce Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate Nintendo Switch Ver. complete with several high pitched screeching explosions for each of those words.
Monsuta sshhhhweeeeeeeeeeeee
Hanta sshhhhweeeeeeeeeeeee
Genereshon SSSHWWWEEEEEE
Urutimeto SSSHSHHSHSHWERERERWERWASDF
Nintendo FSDFHASDFKASDFASDF
SWITCHI ASDFKAGDLFBAFDSF
VERSHON YYUGKFDGLBKDFG112333333
Followed by an explosion with plenty of sparks before the full title reveal.
Anything else will be a bonus to me.
That spotlight event is only going to be around 25 minutes, so yeah don't expect any new game announcements outside of Mario + Rabbids.
I can only hope that we get a hint of hint that Luigi's Mansion 3 is under development.... TBH even just Luigi's Mansion remastered would do me fine.... and a new Kirby 2d sequeal to either of the Wii variants would be good or the recent 3ds versions ported and upscaled and made multiplayer would make me cream
What was the point of that second video LOL
Lose the G4-tech-tv reject 'gotta randomly insert my opinion for no good reason' style of journalism. No one cares that you don't like the skylander amiibos, no one cares that you're not excited for Rabbids. Just do the news. The fact that you guys usually stay pretty unbiased and neutral is the reason I use this site. If you go down that snarky, stupid path, I'll be giving you up like I have every other gaming news site.
@Fist_of_Belial
I guess if you think alex is like all of us from over the pond. That must make you all just like Donald trump!
Nice sensitivity on people dying only last week!!!
@Gold_Ranger
Trump: "I love the poorly educated."
Awww Trump loves you *
*see checks and balances..seriously, it's like one of the main principles of the US constitution. You can't claim to be patriotic and not even friggin' know what's in the constitution.
Federation force 2, nuff said.
i need to see more of that Travis Touchdown game from Suda san.
@rennandovale I think you'll agree the people that do lose their minds are very vocal/toxic about it and not few, though - which are the folks I'm mostly referring to anyways.
Obviously it's totally fine to expect something that then doesn't happen and just get over it. Hell, it happens to me all the time. Although I admit that the Metroid expectations in particular hurt me a bit to see, in the sense that this fanbase has had to deal with a lot of frustration for a long while now and it sucks when the next disappointment comes for them.
@bimmy-lee No, unfortunately it's just from my selfish wish list. Since @zool brought up Wave Race, my other most wanted game on that same list, it prompted me to mention 1080 as well.
So, no legs, and chances of either of those games ever returning, are probably slim to none. Guess I'll have to keep replaying the N64 and GameCube versions...
Reggie did hint at the January Switch event that something Metroid and Mother 3 related would come about by January 2018, so that's why I would sort of expect a Metroid game to show up at Nintendo's E3 Spotlight or their Treehouse Live.
Can we please get a date for Skyrim now. I know not as many people is as hyped about it as me but seriously, I want to play Skyrim on Switch.
@Fist_of_Belial
You're the one who posted 'wah, wah, that country has problems as well, they shouldn't joke about mine" as if only residents of perfect countries without social and political problems (that don't exist) can comment on other countries. You then claimed that people are turning a blind eye to problems as if you have any idea whether that's true or not (you don't BTW).
Frankly, I didn't want to gamble on raising the bar to anything resembling highbrow.
