You know given the fact that it probably just took a few minutes to set the 3D printer up to do this, I think this is a pretty efficient way of getting it done.
Especially with the precautions he took to protect his controller and printer.

And I'm curious with how most websites are going to handle this going forward. But is Nintendo live going to review games both on switch 1 and switch two? I would love to see how most of these new games that are available on both run on the original switch one since that is still heavily used in my house. Very few versions of games we buy will be the switch 2 version. I generally buy games on the PS5 if I'm really looking for high-end graphics or frame rate unless I need portability.

I'm practically done with the switch 2 version of the game, and as someone who played the original on PSP, it's an amazing remaster! Other than rare dips in performance, I personally don't have any cons for the game. It's still an amazing story, especially once it starts to pick up. Thank god for the high-speed mode 😅
Sure, one of the cons is the story runs a little slow but you can say that roughly about any RPG made 20 years ago. That was the story style back then.

I also agree that this game looks great and I hope to buy the physical copy as soon as I can. But does anyone have video clips or YouTube video showing off the game? Preview? Screenshots just don't do justice when action games.

Though I should say I'm hoping to see Metroid Prime 2/3 games before the year ends (Or at least before Prime 4 release)

Honestly, I hate that this was released with the launch of the switch 2. This only feels like an even bigger reason to delay porting over the wind. Waker HD remake and the Twilight princess HD remake to the system.
No way or any of those coming out this year with the release of the GameCube ROM. There are so many other awesome GameCube titles they could have released instead.

@-wc- sure, it wasn't the strongest example but it was the only thing that popped into my head at the moment 😅 But they did more than just change the name. They had to remove Mike Tyson out completely as the final fight.

Sports games are always riddled with license issues. Especially older games.

Perfect timing! I was just about to buy it digital version. I was in between games and I'm a huge fan of steelbooks. Just pre-ordered the deluxe edition for Nintendo switch. Apparently they only have like 52 left. I guess the Nintendo switch is more popular than the PS5 😅

Trust me I know there isn't, as a Unreal Blueprint scripter and VFX Artist myself (but I've seen amazing ppl fix things like this in patches).

I hope this or a future patch will fix frame rate issues since that seems to be the biggest complaint in reviews.
I know they should be able to stabilize it a bit like they've done with the original breath of the wild when in large fields of grass.

I still feel like we're going to hear about a Zelda Oracle of Seasons and Time remake before the switch is done.
And still looking forward for them to add Chrono trigger to the snes game library.

Wow, I actually just started to play these on my Odin 2. They've been on my GBA backlog for years. Glad to see they're coming to the switch!

For those people comparing this almost 30-year-old game to RPGs that came out in the last few years, you're crazy.
It's like comparing final fantasy 1 to final fantasy 16. Mario RPG was your originator and creator of a bunch of things we consider standards in RPG games today. There's no way this game is going to compare to something that's 25 years newer. Especially since this was a pretty faithful remake that didn't change much.
When I first played this game when I came out. I would have given it a 9 and today I'd still probably give it an 8 or 9.

This thing looks great but I still feel like it's being released about one year too late. I wonder if this was like a delayed Kickstarter or something because when everyone was complaining about and drift issues years back this should have been released.

@Uncle_Franklin at least in the US, Star Allies and the newer Kirby and the Forgotten Land has seen discounts. Up to $10-20 off during flash sales like during Black Friday.

For those talking about possibly using a voucher for this game, do not do that. This game will definitely be dropping down 10 or $20 in about 3 months. These minor remakes of older games in my opinion or not worth $60. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for this game and I already pre-ordered it but I truly think it'll be 50 or $40 really soon. Kirby games usually drop a whole lot faster than other games. I would say vouchers for Zelda or Mario games.

I'm hoping there's also frame rate and performance fixes being implemented in this update. They may not mention that outright because it's probably only a select areas.

I never had a GameCube since that's the dark ages of my life where I took like four or five years off of playing games but I am loving the hell out of this game. I bought a digitally and I'm absolutely going to buy a physical copy to keep that in my physical collection. I hope they release the second and third game soon. I do want to play all three of them before prime 4 comes out. Hopefully this game sells enough to make Nintendo really commit to releasing prime two and three this year.

This was my first Metroid game surprisingly since I had Metroid for a super Nintendo but was too young to appreciate it at the time. I've actually beaten it at least four times and became such a fan that I went back to beat almost every other (Non Prime) game. I also got this poster as soon as available and still have it up.

So what you're saying is a couple of updates can turn this game from a 5 to an 8? I mean as long as the games core play features are fun and the story is good. Those are the type of things you can't fix with updates.

Honestly, with Nintendo knowing how limited the stock were for these, I'm upset that they allowed everyone to even buy 2. I know people are complaining that that's not enough but personally I think it should just be one per account to give everyone a chance. Why buy two? So you can buy your friend (eBay) one? So they're pretty much just using the same wide aspect ratio tech that emulators released a few years back. I know NES and SNES emulators have allowed 16x9 extensions for most games that look like this given the battle menus aren't extended. I will say seeing a game that hasn't a received a update in about 2 years suddenly receive, this makes me think it is going to have a console release soon. It only makes sense with Chrono Cross
