@AG_Awesome I don’t think the article means stuff like performance enhancements like higher frame rates, that’s a given that a pro model will give those improvements. The article really means that we won’t see any games developed from the jump that truly take advantage of any beefy hardware that the original switch just wouldn’t be able to handle at all, take xenoblade chronicles 3d for a small example. Makes sense, as this is exactly what happened with the Xbox oneX

60 dollars with no ac adapter? A good adapter costs like 20 bucks. There’s cheaper solutions that work better.

@Rhaoulos they had a decent amount of good Japanese games on the 360, idol master was huge for them and there were a couple of shmups and such that gave them a bit of footing in Japan. When the one came out they basically snuffed out all that work and stopped trying. But this is around the time when they had multiple bosses running everything bottlenecking the entire division so it’s not surprising they let Japan get away from them.

@Damo to me, the fact that the 3ds is more of a lifestyle cultural item in Japan, wouldn’t surprise me that it’s still selling well there

Why is this even an article, we know Japanese love the 3ds still and we know Xbox hasn’t had a footprint in Japan since the 360.

This is really a game that doesn’t need 4K 60 frames. Your average person woul barely tell the difference, even in game lol

They really need to get some good manga style artists to do these drawings. They suck honestly and it’s been that way for years now. The harvest moon 64 artwork was superb.

@Kienda I don’t know many people in the sonic fandom begging for a 3d sonic. I totally disagree on that. Are there people who loved sonic boom sure and I get it the writing was great and def not aimed at children in that aspect, but nobody asked for a 3d sonic show. Nobody ever did, just more satAM type of stuff.

@Kienda baby shark shows that kids will enjoy damn near anything and only realize later it sucked. It still doesn’t change the fact that 3d shows are often lazily produced and a product no one actually asked for. Like I said before only the writing really saved sonic boom.

However, people have been asking for more 2d animated sonic since satAM.

No I think most of their games are specifically aimed at older nostalgia filled gamers, and it makes sense because these are the people buying most of the product (and I don’t mean parents buying for their kids). It’s just a plus that everything is kid friendly by design.

Anyway a game and a show are two different things. It takes a huge budget to make a good 3D anything and movies barely pull it off. A 3D tv show usually uses some lazy 3D animation and won’t do sonic any justice, Just look at sonic boom(only the writing saved it)

Like I said an expanded sonic mania anime would do sonic 100x’s more justice than a 3D show.

When will these studios realize no one wants a 3D sonic show. No one. Just expand sonic mania... please.

@NGNYS I think your forgetting the fact that GTAV online is poorly optimized on current gen systems and that’s the primary reason for the new gen re-releasec (otherwise they could have just patched it).But not having to wait 5 minutes to load after every match is really going to make that game better to play. It’s not just graphics.

I feel like Nintendo aims thier consoles and most products at 20-50 year olds who loved Nintendo when they were kids but also makes everything “kid friendly” at the same time.

Zelda II was the first Zelda game I played while I was old enough to under it(had 1 but was too young to understand it). Afterwards I thought the traditional top down zeldas were kind of boring. I still played them all though.

@JohnBlackstar getting covid is not the problem. The problem is when you get it and become a carrier that may kill others. When one person gets covid the entire family gets it. This is the reason people should not be going out if they don’t need to. This mostly is for the United States who is doing everything wrong. If you’re in some other better faring countries who are seeing a decline I can under but this is still a worldwide pandemic that is not ending any time soon. Niantic asking people to put themselves in a situation where they can not only spread the virus but also catch it is just tone deaf.

@JohnBlackstar you don’t understand how it really works and affects players. The only way to efficiently play is by finding nests and large groups of Pokémon and by being around gyms and/or cities. Being around All those things increases the likelihood of a covid infection. Just walking and “getting air”not going to do it for most players. These changes they are making are just alienating people who’s lives aren’t setup to be as active as they were. A lot of people are going to be screws come the next community day and that’s where I think the real complaints may start

@JohnBlackstar if you don’t know how Pokémon go really works don’t comment. Walking around your house or the block is not really a great way to play and the only way to really prosper in go is going places and being in crowded areas, which increases covid risk. A lot of people are working and schooling from home and rarely going out so getting rid of features that allow you to play from home are ludicrous. It’s like asking people to put themselves in a possibly bad situation. What makes it worse is that the features they are nerfing weren’t that great in the first place but the game is an absolute coaster if they’re gone

@RushDawg I feel like the article was not taking those technicalities into account. I think they’re reviewing each game as a general product with the only stipulation that it actually have been on a Nintendo console to be considered.

@rdrunner1178 although the SA2 demo that came with phantasy star online really got me hyped for it with the San fransico level, I never got the same awe I did from the original SA. I did appreciate a lot of the technical and graphical issues from SA being ironed out though.

I disagree with colors being better than SA1.
I’m probably the minority but I think SA is probably the best 3D sonic especially with the atmosphere of the somewhat open worlds. SA2 was better on a technical level but the story stunk.

At 5.99 I don’t see too many people getting a lot of packs and people will still probably not get who they want. I’m sure Nintendo is nit going to make that many cards as last time because they ended up in bargain bins last time. I got dozens of Japanese and us packs for literally pennies

@StuTwo steam sales of fall guys were STRONG before it hit psn for free. It’s just one of those games that went viral. The psn deal had little to do with it

Sammy is not going to let go of sega and Microsoft wouldn’t buy Sammy just to do it so I’m not sure how anyone would think this would actually happen. Sega has its hands in a bunch of other things besides game publishing so acquiring them would be on a Nokia deal type level.

@YANDMAN theres a lot of information from a badly archived period. Plus all the original artwork that's there and interviews to setup + things that needed to be cleared. i could def see that taking some years to make.

@Savino same! My uncle rented it for me and I had no idea what it was at the time but I was hooked at the end: couldn’t beat it though I was too young to understand every mechanic. I regret not saving the money to buy it though

@carlos82 yea there are still big retailers with stock but I can see those drying up soon. The way resellers work is they throw up sales for two reasons 1) get a leg up and have the auctions And sales up there the moment people start looking to the aftermarket, they get to be the first up. 2) pricing high or at weird pricing 1-8% of the time will actually get you a dumb sale from someone who doesn’t know any better, and they can always change the pricing once the aftermarket starts popping. It’s just taking advantage of opportunities
