Re: Niantic's Pokémon GO-Style Harry Potter Mobile Game Is Being Shut Down

Strictlystyles

@Grot arcades are not exactly the same thing, especially when you realize just how much money people are shelling out for a single mobile title that may or may not be dead at any given time. At least with arcades you are getting a more polished gaming experience, and then you could buy the machine if you really wanted to. With mobile titles people are shelling out hundreds to thousands over the life of the title for a mid at best gaming experience.

Re: Random: IGN's 'Best Video Game Of All Time' Tournament Is Getting WILD

I clearly understand people can have different opinions but if your talking about greatest games ever I’m not voting wit my heart I’m making an informed decision l. I don’t care if re4 is more popular, the impact it had on gaming as a whole was not as large as sotn. hell, it’s not even the best Re game( even at the time it came out).this is all arguable of course, which is why I’d never rate it over sotn, even if I was biased against re4(which I’m not).

This brackets just seems like an American kids popularity contest and it’s trash bd I’m over it.

Re: Random: IGN's 'Best Video Game Of All Time' Tournament Is Getting WILD

@Rosona “while sotn is awesome..”
no you truly don’t understand how sotn is literally one of the best games of all time. There is literally a entire genre of games defined because of it (metrioidvania is a thing but usually when the phrase is used it means a sotn styled game specifically ). It’s always up there in gaming top lists so for it to lose to some like re4 is childish at best. I mean honestly, the entire bracket looks like it was picked by kids who started playing games in the mid 2000’s. Newer games generally beat out older ones so the age of the people voting and not actually gaming knowledge Is clear.

Re: Streaming Giant Netflix Acquires Its First Video Game Developer

Strictlystyles

@meeto_1 Netflix isn’t to blame for that, the content and cable providers are. Once things like Netflix started popping up cable providers started snatching up content providers to create their own services and existing content providers basically started holding thier content hostage (Viacom, etc) to raise prices, which is why Netflix was forced into making thier own content to stay relevant.

At the end of the day the establishment (cable and content providers) will get thier money. The only way to give them the finger is the go back to pirating, which is basically what it’s coming down to.

Re: Pokémon GO Reduces PokéStop Spin Distance In America And New Zealand

@Heavyarms55 you cannot get banned for hardware spoofing, only spoofing using modified apps.

For example, using iTools on your pc will get you banned. Using iTools Bluetooth dongle and legitimately spoofing the gps location on your device will not, which is why as a fail safe they have up to a 2 hr cool down to prevent people from abusing it. I just spoof my local area (I live in the US New York area) so there’s little to no risk.

Re: Pokémon GO Reduces PokéStop Spin Distance In America And New Zealand

Strictlystyles

Get yourself an iPad connected to Ethernet, get yourself a dongle and spoof. Ever since the pandemic and working a 12 hr job from home and having 0 anything in a 6 block radius from me I have been basically unable to play the game outside of incense (and that’s gone now too). Once I started spoofing mixed with a local raiding discord I can now fully enjoy the game more than I have in the 5 years I’ve been playing on normally. I suggest most other people getting shafted by niantic do the same.

Re: Pokémon GO Is Getting Some Of Its Pre-COVID Features Back

Strictlystyles

This is exactly why I cheat and spoof my gps these days. I work from home and I still barely get out, and on saturdays when I work I can’t do things like community days or spotlight hrs anymore since incense will go back to not working anymore while stationary. There’s no stops or gyms within a ten block radius of my house so I have to be going somewhere to even play the game normally.

The covid changes were better for the game as a whole.

Re: Sonic's Limited-Edition 'Birthday Pack' Is Returning For His 30th Anniversary

@SalvorHardin I think with the switch hardware and colors being fond in a lot of peoples memories it was a good idea. Colors was just tailor made for a switch release. There’s plenty of time to do SA or SA2(I’d rather SA1) but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re waiting for the right opportunity, especially with those being as core to the sonic franchise as the original 16 bit one are.

Re: Sonic's Limited-Edition 'Birthday Pack' Is Returning For His 30th Anniversary

@MysteryCupofJoe these are not the same type of things so it’s weird you even make it a complaint. Sure, if your asking on its own why don’t you get extra games ok. but to say, instead of a physical pre order bonus just give me more games, is very weird.

They do these things because it’s shown that people love physical pre order bonus’s and collections. To be totally honest I’m buying this new colors specifically for that extra collectible and I’m sure a lot of others are too. If it were just a digital bonus sonic game I wouldn’t care.

P.s. I wish they’d bring the sonic hats back from the original colors pre order

Re: Random: We're Getting Major 'Nintendo DS' Vibes From Microsoft's Surface Duo Running Xbox Game Pass

Strictlystyles

@ChakraStomps for one duo isn’t a gaming phone or a console, it just happens to play games and Microsoft spent the time to add those features just as a bonus. As far as the price the build quality of the duo is better than the black shark 3 and 4 ( so you do get what you pay for) but on top of that it has two screens and other unique functionality, and is the very first one so I would expect the price to be where it’s at.

But I’d rather not talk about what devices are than the duo for gaming that’s besides the point. That’s nit the intention of the article and a pointless discussion here tbh.

Re: Random: We're Getting Major 'Nintendo DS' Vibes From Microsoft's Surface Duo Running Xbox Game Pass

Strictlystyles

@B4L0R_CLUB it doesn’t matter what the device is or how much it is people will always complain about the price. It’s not even about accessibility at that point. Just people de railing the conversation about something we all know is going to be expensive, as in this case, a dual screen cutting edge PHONE. I could see if it were a strictly gaming console but it’s a phone, like no duh it’s gonna be expensive, but the point is, Microsoft made custom game pass configuration and button layouts for 50 games on their dual screen device. Let’s talk about those things…

Re: Random: We're Getting Major 'Nintendo DS' Vibes From Microsoft's Surface Duo Running Xbox Game Pass

Strictlystyles

@The_New_Butler yes “style” as in “distinctive appearance “ which is accurate. Screen on top, touch screen at bottom, even distinct OG DS bezel around the top screen. Other than no physical buttons your comment was more about mechanical workings. You really were overthinking it. It wasn’t that deep sir.

@yosher all I’m saying is please stop complaining about price when it just a feature article. It just promotes better conversation. You can scroll past this and ignore it if you want to as well it goes both ways.

Re: Random: We're Getting Major 'Nintendo DS' Vibes From Microsoft's Surface Duo Running Xbox Game Pass

Strictlystyles

@The_New_Butler I don’t think you do, if so you wouldn’t have made that comment in the first place but ok bro.

@yosher I’m not just singling you out, it’s everyone. Every time there’s an article about a cool peice of tech or a feature there’s always a bunch of people whining about price, ruining the conversation. We couldn’t even talk about Mario legos without multiple users derailing it with complaints about price. I’m just saying, please stop.

Re: Random: We're Getting Major 'Nintendo DS' Vibes From Microsoft's Surface Duo Running Xbox Game Pass

Strictlystyles

@Mountain_Man
It’s not a game console so if you’re a getting a duo it’s not just so you can play games. No one buys a cutting edge phone just to play games, but it’s nice to have as an added feature which is why Microsoft went the extra effort to add it. Comparing prices of two different devices, that are designed to do different things is not worth

@yosher you can comment however you’d like but like I said it’s a tech article about a cool feature, it’s not a hardware review, it’s just a totally useless comment to talk about price. It’s a PHONE we all know cutting edge phones are over 1k these days.

Re: Animal Crossing Build-A-Bear Orders Return Today In North America

Strictlystyles

I was able to get one after 4 hours in queue the first time around but honestly it’s trash. It doesn’t reward being early just gives you any random spot, so people who came in late were able to check out faster than a lot of people who were waiting since the moment they went up.
Hopefully they have enough for everybody to keep the scalpers losing.

Re: Humble Bundle Will Begin To Cap Charity Donations Next Month

Strictlystyles

Saw this the other day. Looks like humble is turning more into a generic storefront everyday. Like honestly who buys games with them? I only came for the bundles and to donate and that’s all I care about, but they keep going in the opposite direction every year.

They don’t even notify me of bundles anymore, just game deals....like bro I don’t care.
