Just like last week, Octopath Traveler and Yooka-Laylee.MAybe a bit of Frederic: Resurrection of Music. And Burger Island. Some PC game about running a burger restaurant on the beach.
Same as most here. I downloaded and played it for the Zelda Picross, and after that, it didn't really give a reason to come back. Hope this will change with more platinum goodies.
If you have a change to get Titanic: Adventure Out Of Time for the PC, then definately get it. One of the best games with the Titanic and a fantastic point-and-click adventure in general.
I honestly don't see the problem. It's not a free smash demo or something. This is something you need to pay cold hard cash for to get. So you should do whatever you want with it.
I hate the music of the first few Mario related. So loud. I really like the subtle music in the stamped felt and branded wood and the music in the "generic" designs (stars, stripes etc.) But those are just dull to look at. So if I got some money to burn, I will just get the branded wood one.
Don't mind the new system, but pretty bummed that some games can only be played on this new one. I have that circle pad, but why not make those games use that pad. I really don't want to upgrade.
I don't like it too. Real life cars have no place in the Mario Kart universum. But glad to see that there are some Nintendo fans at Ubisoft. Hopefully this mean they would reconsider skipping the Wii U with the new Assassin's Creed game.
Nice week, Picross e4 is a no brainer for me. And I will get Klonoa for sure. Didn't expect that one. Still in doubt about Swords & Soldiers, love the WiiWare, so I will wait for the review to see if it adds anything..
Professor Layton versus Phoenix Wright and Pokémon Link Battle will dominate my handheld gaming this weekend. But I will probably spend most time with Bosch's Damnation, a new PC adventure game from MDNA games. Really looking forward to that one.
This is an awesome game. Really addicting and I like the complexity of starting with the right number and the right Pokémon. I'm very quickly in Link Chance, which is even more fun. Trying to clear the field and then the field next to it and so on is a lot of fun and needs a lot of quick thinking ahead. It looks great, it sounds great and I love how the Pokémon are used and wild Pokémon can be unlocked after a certain goal is reached. Love it.
They came to the Netherlands late last year, got them all except Donkey Kong which wasn't available because om some construction problem or something. But they are great looking toys.
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward looks really interesting for this price. But I think I really want a retail version of this game. But that price. What to do, what to do. And perhaps that Titanic game if it's any good.
@zionich Nintendo's problem isn't the 3DS. After they have dropped the price, they started to release great games for it. Both retail as download titles, both first party games and third party games. So the 3DS is fine.
The VC should always be a bonus on any device, not it's main selling point. People who buy a new console don't do that to play NES, SNES or N64 games. I love the Nintendo for adding backward compatibility to there handheld and consoles in this and previous gens. But in the end, you buy a new console to play new games.
Nintendo will get there with the Wii U. But it's worrying to me that they made the same mistake twice in a row. The 3DS and Wii U took sometime to get great new games. But the 3DS got there and the Wii U have a great line up so far for 2014.
I really don't understand why everyone is bringing up the VC as the savior for the Wii U. I think the release scedule of the VC is just fine as it is. Nintendo and everyone complaining about the VC should realise that they need to invest in NEW games. VC is a nice bonus, but you want people to buy a Wii U, not a NES or SNES.
So just make people excited about the Wii U. There are a lot of games coming that people are excited for. Mario Kart 8, the new Donkey Kong Country, the upcoming Smash Bros game. And people were excited for Pikmin 3 and Super Mario 3D World that got great reviews. Keep making those games, invest in some great third party games. Really looking forward to Watch_Dogs myself. Invest in getting those big names. And don't forget the Wii U Ware service with smaller, innovative games and make it easy for the indies to make games for the system.
Second you should advertise the hell out of the Wii U. I live in the Netherlands and I haven't see much tv ads for Wii U titles. They really need to pick this up. I bet most "normal" people don't know the difference between the Wii and the Wii U. Let alone that they even know what new and exciting games they can play with it.
Looks awesome, pretty bummed about the lack of online (if that is really missing), but I never really played the kart games much online. It's more fun split screen.
I love Dr. Mario but I never knew this was going to be 15 bucks. I thought it was 10 like the WiiWare Dr. Mario. Pretty steep price for basically a colorswap. Still might get this though. I bet Dr. Mario for the Wii will be getting deserted online. So I still need to pick this up.
Already bought Bird Mania Christmas and Super Mario Bros. 3. I will also get Mario Tennis as soon as it is released in Europe. Too bad there is no Dr. Luigi. Can't wait for that game.
This is actually the worst game to slap a Christmas stamp on. It's about a poor little bird who wakes up with his family gone. He flies after them, but never reach them till he eventually dies. Wow... Merry Christmas.
But still, I will get this. Loved the original and online leaderboards. Too bad there is no story mode where the little bird eventually reaches his family. And it's too bad that it doesn't come earlier and in time for Christmas. Oh well. Still will get it.
It's called Secret Mysteries in Amsterdam in The Netherlands. I think it was a terrible game. Boring scene's some items are very difficult to spot, the story is not interesting at all and the way the story is told is soo boring. The locations are exchangable as well. I never had the feeling I was in Paris, London, Amsterdam or New York. Such a shame.
I only have X and I see no point at all to store my Pokémon in the Bank. But if you have one of the previous games and transfer it, it is useful. But why pay for a year then.

This clip reminds me of darker Mario universe. A Epic Mario I would love to see. It remind me of this gif:

Re: Game of the Year: Nintendo Life Readers' Awards 2013
Thrilled to see Phoenix Wright at the top. And Pokemon is at least mentioned here. But where is Luigi's Mansion?
Re: Game of the Year: Nintendo Life's Staff Awards 2013
No Pokemon, Phoenix Wright and Luigi's Mansion 2. I'm shocked.
