The European My Nintendo website has updated once again, this time offering a small selection of Nintendo 3DS titles in exchange for your precious Gold Points.
Described as a "special deal" by Nintendo, these offers are for the full games, rather than the discounts that your points usually buy. If you have enough Gold Points saved up, you'll be able to spend them on these games without any need to spend any additional, real cash.
Here's the full list:
- [3DS] Mighty Switch Force! 2: 50 Gold Points
- [3DS] Noitu Love: Devolution: 90 Gold Points
- [3DS] Severed: 150 Gold Points
- [3DS] Radiohammer: 55 Gold Points
These games are all of a high standard and are definitely worth playing if you're interested in their concepts. The Wii U and Switch versions of Severed scored an 'excellent' 9/10 in our reviews here at Nintendo Life, possibly being the pick of the bunch, with the other three titles securing very strong 7s and 8s, too (you can check out all reviews by clicking on the games above).
Will you be taking advantage of any of these offers? Remember, your Gold Points can now also be spent on Nintendo Switch software directly from the eShop, too!

Hey, nice! I think I'll get the Noitu Love and maybe Severed.
I already got severed and really enjoyed what I played of it.
WHERE! ARE! THE! SWITCH! DEALS! NINTENDO?!
Christ, you'd think they don't want to include Switch in the rewards program at all!
Off topic, but NL isn't gonna mention that the Nindies Summer 2018 Showcase is starting in a couple of hours?

Got Severed on Vita (awesome indeed) and MSF from a previous My Nintendo offering. Definitely grabbing Noitu and Radiohammer, been curious about the former in particular.
Switch games when?
Severed rules. I’ll say that every chance I get, haha.
Their newest game, Guacamelee 2, proves that DrinkBox are just a perfect studio. Every game of theirs is so good.
@Vriess Probably not because 1) they already did an article on that and 2) we already know of a LOT of indie games.
I just redeemed the 3DS version of Severed, and it seems as though the eShop download server is down, the game won't download.
I checked it out and it really is their CDN.

If not switch where’s the Wii u game discounts
Radiohammer please. The Mighty Switch Force games are awesome!
Nabbed Radiohammer, which I never remember hearing of. Been enjoying it so far, but I swear I've heard the menu sound effects in some other game.
Severed on the 3DS “for free” or the Switch for whatever discount my gold points can give me...
Also: where is the NLife review for Severed 3DS? It’s been so long they’re basically giving the game away now...
Ah, already got MSF on Wii U and Noitu Love on 3DS, so I might as well just save my gold coins to reclaim as money. Bought Hollow Knight on Switch for 4 pounds the other day, since I redeemed some coins to pay for it.
@Bunkerneath
Escaped my notice...
@Matthew010
I expect we'll see a couple of games not shown in the Indie Highlights presentation of last week. I'm also hoping for release dates for a couple of them. Hyper Light Drifter for example.
@smashbrolink You're obviously not in retail. You don't put your strongest sellers on special.
Awesome news! I already have Mighty Switch Force 2 and it's really great, and I'm definitely interested in the other 3 - especially Radiohammer.
Thanks Ninty, I used coins for Radiohammer and Noitu Love, got the other two.
I loved Severed and highly recommend it. My only real complaint is that there wasn't a new game+ mode, because I was absolutely willing to run though this game a second time. But for a free game offer, that's hardly an issue.
Awesome, glad I saved my gold coins. Will get them all.
Nice! Just got Mighty Switch Force 2 and Radiohammer, and I might get the others later.
@PanurgeJr
There are many games on the Switch that don't qualify as the systems' "strongest sellers", though.
Many of them ports.
@smashbrolink I don't get why people are so obsessed with whether or not a game is a port. It doesn't matter, at all. I'd be willing to bet a number of indies that started on Wii U, at least in the Nintendo ecosystem, have sold better on Switch. Despite being all porty port portish.
@PanurgeJr
When it comes to the quality of a game, being a port or not doesn't matter at all.
But when it comes to pricing, it would be really nice to have these older games put at a discount sooner rather than later.
