My favourite game in the series and the best rail shooter ever in my opinion. I was hoping to see this in the last Direct but at least its confirmed for this year.

I thought Immortals was amazing and I'll probably get roasted for this but I think it's just as good as BotW and in some ways even better.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. I'm so glad I decided to get this, it's a real gem.

Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Absolutely loving it, this could be my game of the year.
Also been playing Age of Calamity and Ys: Origin.

Looks good considering we're comparing a three and a half year old handheld system to a home console that came out last week.
Anyway I'm really excited for this game, it looks excellent.

Cool. I'm really enjoying it. Makes me want to play both BotW and the first Hyrule Warriors again.

I wish SEGA would team up with Tecmo Koei and do a Golden Axe musou game. But you know, SEGA...

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. I'm loving it so far but I'm not sure yet if I like it better the the first Hyrule Warriors. Both are great games.

Still dreaming about a Golden Axe musou game.

@BooJoh Yeah a Kid Icarus crossover collaboration with Nintendo would be a perfect fit for this game. Even just a couple of DLC skins of Pit and Palutena would be great.

You know what would make a good Warriors game? Golden Axe. Yeah it's got nothing to do with this article but I just wanted to say I reckon it would be cool.

Hyrule Warriors and Immortals Fenyx Rising for me, and that's about it as far as Switch releases go.
What I would love to see with Immortals Fenyx Rising, is a collaboration with Nintendo to do a crossover with Kid Icarus. Kind of like what they did with putting Fox McCloud in Starlink Battle for Atlas. Imagine DLC skins for both Pit and Palutena in the game. If anyone out there in Nintendo and Ubi land are listening, make it happen.

I prefer the design of the Series X. It didn't wow me when I first saw it but the design has really grown on me.

I'd certainly love a demo for HWAOC. (Acronym used 😜)

What is with all the criticisms towards those of us who are disappointed about the lack of interior artwork? Some of us gamers who are enthusiasts love all things about video game culture, not just the game itself.
Me personally, I love game covers and artwork. I have even purchased several books just about game covers and their art and occasionally I will take my physical games out just to look at them. So what?
None of us here have said that it was a problem. We are merely expressing our disappointment that there isn't interior art. Most Switch games do have interior art so those of us who appreciate that kind of thing get disappointed when publishers don't make the effort to include it.
People have different things that they love and are enthusiastic about and they invest in all the small details related to that. Should I call them a bunch whiners because they feel disappointment over minor things they love about their hobby.

Fighters have already been chosen. I'm betting Shantae is one since we haven't seen an assist trophy or mii outfit for her yet and she has a decent history of games with Nintendo. She'd have a unique moveset too.

Interesting. I am assuming this means we can rule out Travis and Bomberman as future DLC fighters.
I have to say though, the Bomberman costume looks so good it's just like having him as a character in the game itself, just without an original and unique move set.

@FRANKLIN_BADGE There is no proof that Nintendo chose to include Minecraft just to please fanboys. No one knows what goes on in their meetings. The most likely reason they chose Steve is because they were looking at what games/characters represent video gaming as a whole and are iconic in the industry.

So many people on here that can run Nintendo better then their own top brass lol.

Wow! Can't believe all the dissapointement in the comments. I'm not a Minecraft fan at all but even I'm excited for Steve in Smash. He's a perfect fit for the roster of gaming icons. And folks saying his look doesn't fit, what about Mr Game & Watch?

Would love to see the Chief in there one day.

This is really reminding me of Nights a lot, which is a game I really love. Not in the gameplay but with the look and presentation. The only question is, will the gameplay be any good?

I'd go with the Japan one. I like the focus on the red and green and putting the focus solely on Samus.

Already bought from LRG but I don't know if I can wait for it to to be sent out. Might have to double-dip and get it digital too.

I prefer the general Directs but since it seems we won't be getting one this year then more mini directs would be good.

I really like the look of this game and I'm going to get it, but this really makes me wish Nintendo would do a new Kid Icarus.

Probably Galaxy because I have only played through it once whereas I've played 64 and Sunshine through multiple times each.
Couldn't say which is my favourite but 64 blew me away when it first came out like no game ever has.

@DK-Fan I was also wondering the same thing. The character in the video is a girl but you can choose either a male or female character which you can customise.

@NoTinderLife Interesting. If they do bring out a pro model next year then surely they would have to sell that for a few years before a proper upgrade to a Switch2 or whatever they do for their next console. Either way there's a good chance BotW2 releases next year.

Say what! Weird to see this game get a sequel. Cool all the same though as the SNES game was pretty good.

@Scarftail I'd agree with that. Switch 2 still a couple of years away as Switch is still selling well and has potential to hit 100 million units sold.
BotW2 2021 as they already have assets, art direction, story, world etc. to build off of.

Played through the first two on xbox and always wanted to play the third one.

Besides XCX, I really want both HD Zelda's. Having said that, if they do end up porting the Zelda games, I would really love a HD remaster of Skyward Sword too.

Looking pretty awesome I reckon. This is kind of what I imagined a proper 3D Kid Icarus game would look like. Actually looks like a Zelda BotW/Kid Icarus cross.
Anyway, without a big game from Nintendo announced so far for Nov/Dec, this will be my most wanted game for the holidays so far.

I already pre-ordered the Switch version a while ago. It's a long wait but at least it's coming.
Not as long a wait as for Ys Origin from LRG though, I expect that to get delivered sometime in 2024.
I'm glad to see so much love for Ys VIII, it's one of the best games released this gen.

@sixrings yeah I've that one but I don't believe it considering the Switch is selling so well at the moment.

Rumour: Nintendo is still making Switch games.
