@ChipBoundary Do you have any idea how stupid you sound saying complete nonsense like "Nintendo hasn't made a quality game in the better part of a decade", "Everything else they've made is trash" and "Breath of the Wild is absolute garbage. Completely unplayable". If you truly feel that way than why are you here on this website. Are you such a Sony fanboy that you need to pile ***** on Nintendo to make your system of choice look better? Seriously, I have not seen this level of immature, insecure fanboyism on the internet for a long time, and that's saying something.
I prefer the Splatoon one, the joy cons especially look great. I've been meaning to by an OLED but at this point I think I'm going to wait to see if there will be a Zelda one when BotW2 releases and get that.
Zelda 2. Keep the 2D sections but give it a proper 3D world to explore instead of the overhead map, dial down the difficulty a bit and add some QoL features.
I hope he's right about the Zelda ports. I mean Nintendo ported Wii U games like Captain Toad and Tokyo Mirage but not the two Zeldas? Surely they will at some point. Having said that though, this is Nintendo we're talking about so...
It's nice to see some hand drawn artwork instead of the usual retro pixel art that's so common.
That trailer went by too fast though. Too quick to get a good look at the game without re-watching it.
The original Legend of Zelda. My friend had it on his NES. He had an NES and I had a SEGA Master System. We ended up swapping systems and games for about a month. Somehow we ended up finishing the whole game without any guides or help. I don't think I could do that now though.
@alexybubble There are a few SEGA games that they have bought back, which I am very grateful for but the thing is they have been smaller projects handled by other devs. Panzer Dragoon Remake was awesome but it was done by Forever not SEGA and I would have preferred to see a new game in the series. Same kind of thing with Alex Kidd and the Wonderboy remakes (although Monsterboy was cool ). At least Steets of Rage 4 was new. The point I was trying to make was that SEGA dont seem to be giving a lot of their older IP's the AAA treatmeant by SEGA themselves. I'd rather see SEGA invest in bringing back some of their long neglected games than a couple movies that will most probably suck.
I just don't get SEGA anymore. They are sitting on a treasure trove of classic IP's which they're always talking about bringing back but never do, and what do they do instead? Like, who wanted this, really?
Super Metroid was the the first one I played. Bought it day one when it released. I was well aware of the Metroid games on the NES and always wanted to play them but I was a SEGA Master System kid and couldn't afford both a SMS and an NES.
Playing Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak mainly but if I get bored with hunts I'll start Live A Live.
I would play Xenoblade 3 but I ordered the special edition and the game hasn't arrived in the mail yet.
Maybe Capcom 2nd Arcade Stadium for something short and sweet.
@SteamEngenius Fanboyism? Really? For thinking BotW is better than Withcher 3. Have you read the reviews from critics and gamers. Have you seen the scores on metacritic?
I prefer BotW and Skyrim over Witcher3. Having too many points of interest on a map takes away from the joy of exploring and discovery. Assassins Creed is guilty of this too. I dunno, I just found BotW amazing to explore. Half the fun was just figuring out how to get around. How do I get to that shrine? Can I climb there? What about the rain? Can I glide from that ledge. What if I make steps by freezing this waterfall, etc? Yeah you just can't find that level of creativity in a lot of other open world games.
Both games are great platformers and Klonoa is a cool character ( I was always hoping for him in Smash ). I just hope this title does well enough for Bamco to release a new game in the series.
For me personally it's been Triangle Strategy. Yeah not the best name for a game but It's a brilliant game. I found it a bit slow to get into but once I became familiar with the characters and story I found the game absolutely gripping.
I've gotten two of the four endings so far and will play the last few chapters to see the other two soon.
Absolutely fantastic game, loved it!
Awesome! Looks like they took the time to update this properly instead of quick and easy ports. I utterly adore these games and can't wait to play them again but, a proper sequel is what we need next.
@RudeAnimat0r I'm glad we have both options too and think we always should. But for every SoR4 or Hollow Knight with lovely handrawn graphics, there seems to be dozens of other games with retro pixel art. It seems like the ratio of handrawn to pixel art is very small with most developers opting to go the retro pixel style.
I just don't understand why developers are choosing to go mainly in favour of this style. Retro is cool and all but I think its being overdone at this point.
I know I'm in the minority here but why are developers still using pixel art. I get that nostalgia is strong when it comes to retro style games but handrawn graphics like those used in SoR4 for example look so much better. Pixelated games were a result of hardware limitations which are non-existent these days. I'm just over it. Had my fill of pixelated games back in the day.
SEGA have said this befofe. What were the last couple of games they were talking about, Crazy Taxi and Jet Grind Radio?
I just want more Golden Axe and Altered Beast.
I reckon Golden Axe would be perfect for a Tecmo Koei Warriors game.
As a collector and enthusiast I avoid budget covers like the plague. I've always been a fan of box art, so for me it's an abomination when they mess with the original work.
I'm in no rush for Switch 2. The Switch is absolutely killing it this generation and I'm having a blast. I'm not ready to move on from the best Nintendo system ever made.
Not at any point since I started playing this game have I though the graphics are bad. On the contrary, I've been admiring the graphics and the great art direction. I mean the game is supposed to be cartoony, it's not trying to look like God of War.
Just hearing about all the negitive talk about the graphics has made me realise how lucky I am that I'm at the point in my life where I just dont care that much about graphics.

@ChipBoundary Scam console? Dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Re: Poll: Splatoon Switch OLED Vs. Pokémon Switch OLED - Which Do You Prefer?

Re: Poll: Do You Actually Want Switch Ports Of Wind Waker And Twilight Princess?
100% yes to that. And if these ports come to Switch and the next Nintendo system is backwards compatible it will be incredibly convenient.
Re: Feature: 12 Nintendo Games That Deserve An HD-2D Remake
Zelda 2. Keep the 2D sections but give it a proper 3D world to explore instead of the overhead map, dial down the difficulty a bit and add some QoL features.

Re: Witcher 3 Dev Admits He Overcrowded One Map With Too Many Points Of Interest

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series
@Mgalens you would think they would be able to lock in a solid 50 fps. That would be better then a juddering 60 fps.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series
@Mgalens yeah but they display at 4:3 at lower res, so play those versions if you enjoy that stuff.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series
@jojobar yeah port could have been better but it's still a much better way to play than PS1/Wii/PS2.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel #103 - Assault Suit Leynos / Target Earth
I'd go for the American one. The Japanese one is kind of boring.

EA sports title? In your dreams EA!

Golden Axe, Golden Axe or Golden Axe.
Re: Random: Hyperkin Recreates The 'Americantendo' From Stranger Things 4

Re: Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection II Launches On Switch This September
They could have easily put all the games from both collections into one.
I'd personally be more interested in a new game in the series.
Re: It's Official, Wonder Boy Collection Is Out On 3rd June
I bought the Aniversary Collection which means I should expect it sometime around around January 2023.

Re: Best Kirby Games Of All Time
@StephenYap3 It's nice to see someone else who actually appreciates Star Allies. It's definitely in my top 3 Kirby games.
Re: Best Kirby Games Of All Time
I can't believe Star Allies is so low on this list. Such an underrated game in my opinion.
Re: Klonoa Phantasie Reverie Series Brings Two Classic Platformers To Switch In July

That snowboard stage!
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Sticks With Mario Kart 8 Through 2023, But What About Switch?
