Re: Nintendo Switch Is No Longer The Best-Selling Console Of 2022 In The UK

@ChipBoundary Do you have any idea how stupid you sound saying complete nonsense like "Nintendo hasn't made a quality game in the better part of a decade", "Everything else they've made is trash" and "Breath of the Wild is absolute garbage. Completely unplayable".
If you truly feel that way than why are you here on this website. Are you such a Sony fanboy that you need to pile ***** on Nintendo to make your system of choice look better?
Seriously, I have not seen this level of immature, insecure fanboyism on the internet for a long time, and that's saying something.

Re: Talking Point: What Was Your First Legend Of Zelda Game?

Slain

The original Legend of Zelda. My friend had it on his NES. He had an NES and I had a SEGA Master System. We ended up swapping systems and games for about a month. Somehow we ended up finishing the whole game without any guides or help. I don't think I could do that now though.

Re: Sega Announces Space Channel 5 And Comix Zone Movies

@alexybubble There are a few SEGA games that they have bought back, which I am very grateful for but the thing is they have been smaller projects handled by other devs. Panzer Dragoon Remake was awesome but it was done by Forever not SEGA and I would have preferred to see a new game in the series. Same kind of thing with Alex Kidd and the Wonderboy remakes (although Monsterboy was cool ). At least Steets of Rage 4 was new.
The point I was trying to make was that SEGA dont seem to be giving a lot of their older IP's the AAA treatmeant by SEGA themselves. I'd rather see SEGA invest in bringing back some of their long neglected games than a couple movies that will most probably suck.

Re: Talking Point: How Were You Introduced To Metroid?

Super Metroid was the the first one I played. Bought it day one when it released. I was well aware of the Metroid games on the NES and always wanted to play them but I was a SEGA Master System kid and couldn't afford both a SMS and an NES.

Re: Witcher 3 Dev Admits He Overcrowded One Map With Too Many Points Of Interest

I prefer BotW and Skyrim over Witcher3. Having too many points of interest on a map takes away from the joy of exploring and discovery. Assassins Creed is guilty of this too.
I dunno, I just found BotW amazing to explore. Half the fun was just figuring out how to get around. How do I get to that shrine? Can I climb there? What about the rain? Can I glide from that ledge. What if I make steps by freezing this waterfall, etc? Yeah you just can't find that level of creativity in a lot of other open world games.

Re: Poll: What's Your Game Of The Year 2022 So Far?

Slain

For me personally it's been Triangle Strategy. Yeah not the best name for a game but It's a brilliant game. I found it a bit slow to get into but once I became familiar with the characters and story I found the game absolutely gripping.
I've gotten two of the four endings so far and will play the last few chapters to see the other two soon.
Absolutely fantastic game, loved it!

Re: Here's A First Look At Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Physical Switch Release

@RudeAnimat0r I'm glad we have both options too and think we always should. But for every SoR4 or Hollow Knight with lovely handrawn graphics, there seems to be dozens of other games with retro pixel art. It seems like the ratio of handrawn to pixel art is very small with most developers opting to go the retro pixel style.
I just don't understand why developers are choosing to go mainly in favour of this style. Retro is cool and all but I think its being overdone at this point.

I know I'm in the minority here but why are developers still using pixel art. I get that nostalgia is strong when it comes to retro style games but handrawn graphics like those used in SoR4 for example look so much better. Pixelated games were a result of hardware limitations which are non-existent these days. I'm just over it. Had my fill of pixelated games back in the day.

Re: Are Complaints About Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Graphics Fair? Digital Foundry Digs In

Not at any point since I started playing this game have I though the graphics are bad. On the contrary, I've been admiring the graphics and the great art direction. I mean the game is supposed to be cartoony, it's not trying to look like God of War.
Just hearing about all the negitive talk about the graphics has made me realise how lucky I am that I'm at the point in my life where I just dont care that much about graphics.
