It was a good Direct. But personally I'm disappointed. I was waiting/expecting for a Switch 2/Pro announcement and also the long rumored Wind Waker remaster. Metroid Prime 4 was my highlight.

I hope this is just the beginning of a larger Zelda theme. Imagine sets like BotW stable, WW King of Red Lions boat, or TOoT Temple of Time. So much potential.

Day one. I hope this is the start of massively potential new line.

I'm buying physical twice! Physical with the special edition pre-order, but my son will use that cartridge, so I'll buy the Japanese physical while I'm over here in Japan 😁

I'll be in Japan for the release of TOTK, so I'll definitely be trying all these foods and buying as much merchandise as I can.

@claybirds I did on my second playthrough of BOTW. Though I am heading to Japan tomorrow and will be over there when the game launches, so I'll be buying up as much merchandise as I can fit in my baggage and might even buy the Japanese version of the game as well.

Until the game released, I had no idea what the gameplay was like. The trailers only shown quick glimpses of gameplay with little to no explanation really. I'll stick to my non-minecraft games.

Bring it! Can't wait.

I hope Woolly World gets ported to Switch. I enjoyed that on the Wii U. Do have to agree with SNES Yoshi's Island being #1. Awesome game.

If they somehow fixed Metroid: Other M controls to a standard button controller without all the twisting and turning if the Wiimote, it would be a great game. The controls killed it for me unfortunately.

Also agree with MP Remastered being #1.

We barely heard anything in the trailer. Hard to tell at this stage. Waiting for longer trailer/more words.

It was good. But after all they hype of leaks about Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, I was disappointed they didn't show up. Wind Waker is my equal fave Zelda game, so was really hoping for a Switch port.

@sikthvash it is a very repetitive game, especially when cleaning up those final kyber crystals on the planets. But it is a Star Wars nerd's wet dream. So many nerdy, goody, smart references and throwbacks. It makes fun of itself so often and doesn't take itself seriously. It's left a smile on my face, even though it's a grind on the collection side of thngs.

More kyber crystals? Luckily I got that kyber trophy already.

I don't care who/what the characters are, just make games fun. Everyone is too worried about offending someone and it ruins the enjoyment.

@Shat was just about to ask the same question. Love it on the PS4 and would definitely buy it for
the Switch, but apparently it was released in a worse state than the others.

This is my GOTY, but the DLC characters are disappointing. No voice lines, no custom abilities, and some have generic blasters instead of their custom weapons. Big missed opportunity. Wish they waited and released new missions/levels instead.

So what's the present?

The DLC pack is disappointing IMO. No voice lines and their weapons are generic, not personalised. Baze Malbu, for instance, has a heavy blaster in the movie, while in the game it's a slow blaster effect. They could have done so much more with these DLC's. Voices, missions, levels, etc but it's just cosmetic.

I think it's time this website changed its name to "GamingLife". There seems to be more news on ROMs, crappy Kickstarter consoles and other random gaming news then there is actual Nintendo news. I'm losing interest in checking this site for information.

Why is Nintendo Life the only website stating it will feature improved graphics and modern gameplay enhancements? Every other website says nothing has been confirmed yet.

This user's poor switch probably hasn't had a good rest since AC was released. Turn it off, even for 5mins. Let the poor cooling fan have a breather. The screen hasn't blinked for months. This is console cruelty at its best.

So anyway.........this game looks good. Will definitely pick this up. My first introduction to Metroid was Prime on the GameCube. Loved it. Tried playing the older 2D games after and hated them (so you can't call me a fanboy 😉). Other M I liked also because it was different and had a slight Japanese anime taste to it. Samus Returns I also like but never finished. Maybe I should replay that to get in the mood.

All well and good until the chicken gets defeated in a match and PETA cry cruelty to animals.

Playing it on XBox Gamepass. Really enjoying it. Wouldn't pay the $35AU that Nintendo are asking for, especially when it's been downgraded so much . I would class it as inbetween a sim and arcade racer. I find it very relaxing to play. And the soundtrack is killer.

Not sure if it's the frame rate but gameplay looks really slow. They need to double the speed to make it look fun.

I tried playing Okami on PS4 but the visuals felt like they were 3D without the 3D glasses. You know that double image effect? It just looked weird and i thought it was my monitor at first. Not my cuppa tea.

How many Super Mario and Mario Kart clones are there and no one bats an eye? If this game is only 10% as good as BOTW, it will still be a good game. And this gives us something to keep us busy until BOTW2. I'll be buying this when it releases. All the haters can go smash their consoles

As much as it would be cool to have it on the Switch, imagine the quality drop in visuals. It would be almost GameCube quality IMO. The game is so detailed that I don't think the Switch could handle it. Half the beauty of the game would be sucked out of it, and it's the visuals that make the game so unique.

@Brady1138 what made you dislike it so much? In my opinion i found it entertaining the whole way through. A few surprises thrown in and plenty of nostalgia for us older fans, i think JJ Abrams did the best he could with what was left after The Last Jedi.

See i came out confused after the midnight premiere of The Last Jedi. I wasn't sure if i had liked it. It had it's moments but it was just a mess, a cut and paste of random events, as if they ran out of time and spent the final hours trying to make a watchable film. After a few repeat viewings i did begin to like it, but i consider it one of the weakest Star Wars films. Only EP1 & EP2 are worse IMO.

Anyway, i can't wait for the game next year. Since watching EP9 i'm wanting to replay LEGO The Force Awakens.

EP is an awesome finale. It's just the fancy critics and hardcore fanboys that dislike it, because it didn't go the way they thought it would. And I can see this game becoming my GOTY. Cannot wait.

Mass produced? I think they mean produce about one hundred. I can't see this selling thousands. Neat idea but about 20 years too late.

I'm one of those gamers that must have Y-inverted. Very happy they got this patched quickly. Purchased and downloaded.
