I've only not got Lego City and Luigi U out of those 6. I'll wait until when/if Luigi U goes on a discount on its own, though I'm glad LCU is finally slashed down in price. If they restock that it could lead to a good surge in sales, £20 is great value from what I hear it offers in comparison to a lot of other Lego games recently.
I'm seeing people say it is possible and people say it is not possible. Eh I haven't got the foggiest so whatever. What I do have is a New 3DS however so I'm not really gonna complain. Sucks for the rest of you who don't I guess?
@Sligeach MK8 launched in the same week as Watch_Dogs, so was always going to struggle to top that, particularly as the Wii U install base was significantly lower then than it is now.
@Sligeach Heaven forbid Miyamoto do what he likes with Star Fox, including introducing new gameplay mechanics, characters and concepts into its universe. Only thing that could possibly be worse would be for Miyamoto to have any influence in Pikmin 4, I mean can you imagine? Perish the thought. What has he done for these series of games that gives him that right? Give it to people who care Nintendo!
The Wii game was great, and I enjoyed the few mini games I played here and there from the DS version. Can't say I'm really excited for this but I'm definitely in the boat of people who loved the introduction to it in the EU Direct.
@EXP there's a difference between legitimate criticism and entitled behavoir (see the reaction from the majority of people to Bayonetta 2's reveal for the latter), just as there's another side to be on rather than 'The Nintendo Defence Force' or the 'Let's Complain About Everything Brigade'. Can't we just be somewhere in-between? Oh wait this is the Internet I forgot so if you're not with us you're against us and let's start throwing names around is the way to go.
There seems to be a reverse Star Fox Zero effect going on here judging by these comments. For Zero, people hated (and still do to this day) the graphics but most are in agreement that the gameplay should be solid and fun to play, whilst for this game people are diggin' the art style but are pre-emptively hating how it possibly will play.
Just an interesting observation I've made that I thought I'd point out. Hopefully the next Nintendo game reveal will get the mix right? Who knows.
@ottospooky if it was Atlus publishing it they wouldn't have even mentioned an EU release once in the 2-3 years since the announcement so I'm glad as Hell that isn't the case.
POPCORN HERE! GET YOUR POPCORN HERE! Only the freshest popcorn made extra special by the salt of people that hated one game and based on one vague trailer automatically hate the next in the series! But seriously I didn't like Sticker Star either but I'm reserving judgment for this until E3 at the earliest. Even if it is Sticker Star 2 it surely can't be just as bad, the concept for this makes me smile for this one already.
@Jimmy_G_Buckets I've already seen the Capcom Street Fighter on disk fighters locked behind a paywall comparisons elsewhere so the stupidity and entitlement is alive and well, don't you worry.
I'm with Jim Sterling on this one, the reaction of the entitled gamer crowd would be to die for if this turn out to be true, just like it was with Bayonetta 2 when people who are supposedly too 'mature' to buy a Nintendo console still found it acceptable to send death threats to the directors at Platinum.
They need their p*** boiled at times and seeing it all unfold is one of the many little things that makes the world go round.
I'll definitely need extra popcorn if Federation Force is shown and it hasn't changed much. I wonder how it will look if they changed it, something akin to Prime Hunters? Or is there a possibility that it has been scraped entirely? There's a lot of intrigue around it still.
Kinda bizarre how well this game has done over here, it's still being flogged regularly in 3DS and 2DS bundles and I believe it's one of the best selling games in France over this gen. It kinda puts a hole in the 'Mii/Wii was a fad that no one cares about anymore' argument, hence Nintendo making Miitomo and why I think that shouldn't be written off.
I still want to get it myself. I'll stick with Animal Crossing for now.
Ubi published Cloudberry Kingdom? I did not know that.
Otherwise I live in the UK so this is rather pointless for me. Though I would recommend the Assassin's Creed games, they're quite good, though I think my liking of 3 is an unpopular opinion.
@zool were any of those games as good as Fire Emblem Fates, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon, Super Mario Maker and others (I thought Yoshi Wooly World was great personally though I dare not paise a 2D platformer rehash) or as good as Zelda U, Pokemon S&M (lol), Star Fox Zero, Pokken, should be?
It's ridiculous to call that lineup 'a complete standstill'. Especially when I'm purposefully neglecting several other perfectly good games that would bring the wrath of the haters here down on me.
@Peach64 how does it solidify the 'leak'? Because Rainbow and Sun/Moon aren't really all that similar. Is it because they're new (gen 7) games? If so again it's really a 50/50 shot as to if the big announcement was Z or gen 7. Is that all that needs to be proven for a leak to become solid? Getting a 50/50 shot right? I remember the leaker for Gematsu regarding the Smash fighters managed to predict Wii Fit Trainer of all characters, but couldn't get some others like Robin, Duck Hunt and Bowser Jr. When did our standards fall from way back then when someone who got Wii Fit Trainer right was considered dubious for months but now we're giving 50/50 chancers credit? And as with the Gematsu leak, getting one thing right does not automatically validate everything else, otherwise Chrom and the Chorus Kids would be playable in Smash.
@Dave24 when did I mention indies? And you missed my point about budgets, I'm saying that if they want sympathy for the games that 'fail' then the first place they should look at is the budget, same is true for any company or individual looking to succeed in business. Dark Souls came out not long before those aforementioned games, it was a success almost instantaneously at 'only' 2 million copies sold in its first year or so. Sure it eventually had DLC but that was after the game already made a profit, as it should be. Why are games like these the exception, rather than the rule? Why are 'AAA' companies unable to just sell us a product without the noise of pre-order bonuses, season passes and microtransactions? Because they need to to make a profit on the original game? Well then that ain't my problem, and it shouldn't be yours either.
Budget better, focus on selling me your $60 product and don't treat me like I'm some sort of cow that needs milking endlessly. Do that and they have my respect, since that isn't the case that's why they don't.
Hope I've demonstrated my stance well enough that you don't resort to insults or 'LEL's. Kind patronising at this point.
@JaxonH to be fair, the Fire Emblem games pre-Awakening did have many interesting characters, settings and plots, just as you say without the ability to go on to have them marry and have children. But what makes me lose any/all respect I have for these people who feel the franchise has gone in the wrong direction when they go full on hyperbole and say 'shame it's not a Fire Emblem game' or some similarly phrased nonsense.
Just shut up if that's all you've got to say on the matter. They just need to get over it, it's not like they've changed it from a SRPG.
@Kirk you make good points, though I think YouTube entire copyright system is just complete anarchy at this point that there's little to be gained nit-picking individual examples like this, big change needs to happen to the whole system. If people get copyright strikes for just uploading videos of a game in cases such as Warner Bros handling of Shadow of Mordor or because they're not part of Nintendo's Creators Program, or even spurious claims and censorship of criticism from smaller indie devs then you know the system is out of control.
@AyeHaley wow OK dude no need to go straight to insults. Kinda says a lot about you, so I'm not gonna bother asking for there to be proof that this particular YT channel does not benefit from views it receives.
@Dave24 well then mabye don't spend $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ on making Lara's hair as 'realistic' as it was and budget better?
It's the same tripe garbage 'logic' like this that the 'AAA' companies use to justify microtransactions and season passes:
"Oh woe are we, we spent millions & millions on our rehashed rubbish making it look pretty, but only you can help the series survive by pre-ordering the special edition, getting the season pass and buying into our freemium currency.
What's that? Budgeting, is that something we can exploit? Can't hear you properly over the noise being made to make Batman's cape move properly".
Get out of here dude, don't tell me you buy their rhetoric.
@electrolite77 there's a difference (or a lot of differences) between the way they go about it though. Nintendo CEOs taking pay cuts when times were rough? Nice to hear. EA constantly closing down studios when they 'fail'? Not nice to hear. Activision laying off people from their 'casual' department because the third Skylanders entry in 3 years along with the mediocre Guitar Hero reboot didn't make all of the money? Not nice to hear.
Fantastic news. 'Hardcore' Fire Emblem fans who hate the series since Awakening and the 'only Mario/Zelda/Pokemon sell on Nintendo' brigade trolls can go back to their caves.
Nah I'm sure they're just sat around playing checkers and occasionally shooting the breeze over a pool table. It's impossible for them to be doing work they're paid to do because all I do is complain and ignore common sense.
@Kirk I think you just contradicted yourself with what you put in your brackets at the end there.
Fact of the matter is that YouTube, Nintendo and Mr Hacker guy are only looking out for themselves and YouTube is set up in favour of the bigger companies. If you read the fine print there's almost certainly in there somewhere about not being able to profit from a hacked copy of Mario Kart 8 or something along those lines, if Square-Enix can impose restrictions on streaming and uploading videos of their games before launch (as they did last year with Dragon Quest Heroes) then thing like this are obviously going to get caught, Mr Hacker guy must have expected this but did it anyway.
If you have problem at this point then you should look at the law rather than the people using it to their advantage, which is just the way the world works.
@Hotfusion to be fair though, ZombiU did sell well, at least, in a real world judged on realism with realistic expectations. It has sold, if I am not mistaken, significantly closer to 1 million copies than 500000, with a lot of those being in the launch window. For a cheap (let's face it Ubisoft didn't spend s*** making it in comparison to Assassin's Creed whatever) new IP for $60 on a 'niche' and small install base, that is- again remember realistic- quite good sales. I wouldn't be surprised if the gimped $20 version hasn't sold much more across Xbox, PS and PC since it released a few months back.
These companies are scum that only look after themselves, how Ubisoft can look at those figures realistically combined with the Legends and Watch_Dogs debacles and say that it's all Nintendo and Nintendo fans' fault is something only Ubisoft can answer, and their answer would be more corporate BS that I cannot understand for the life of me why people believe but they do and gobble it up regardless.
It's the same as when both Capcom and Square-Enix bemoaned the sakes of Resident Evil 6 and the Tomb Raider reboot, despite them selling several million copies each. Poor 'AAA' companies and their need to make all of the money, if only they cared I might feel a shred of sympathy for them.
@Yorumi it's a good job you don't have any credibility, otherwise that would've damaged it quite a lot. You're not Colin Moriarty by any chance are you? Comparing the 3DS to the Vita is a fallacy ring any bells from your most read article? Good times, good times.
Triple A? Creativity? Haha good joke. Next you'll be saying they won't have microtransactions, Season Passes and will actually work properly like games should do on launch.
But that goes beyond jokes and into impossibilities.
@mjc0961 can I borrow that Vita football comparison forever please? Because it's one of the best things that I've ever read on this site, though that's not saying much. Though what you do say is 100% right on the money, I don't even understand why Sony dedicated the 2-3 seconds they did to showcasing the Vita in their E3 conference, it's borderline insulting considering how they've treated us owners who bought into their tripe.
@Grumblevolcano there's the 'D' word! Though next time you gotta be clever and witty with your guesstimations, it's really, really great to go full-on Console Wars lingo and say "Nintendoomed!" when speculating on the inevitability of playing Kirby, Splatoon and Kid Icarus on a PS/Xbox console. Because that'll work.
@KnightRider666 You've bought a Vita for Sony's version of the "VC"?
That's like buying a coffee machine expecting it to make you the best tea ever, or buying a snowmobile to take you across the Sahara Desert. I just hope that the deal you got on Balck Friday was a good one, because I don't see any other good things your purchase could have.
Reading this article and the many deluded comments reminds me greatly of this debacle. It's like this never happened and it should be in Nintendo's best interests to turn their system into a 'sports, TV and COD' machine. Get Mario to be powered up by Mountain Dew and Doritos instead of Fire Flowers and Mushrooms and have a Metroid/COD crossover.
@AndrewJ if it had 'regular controls' it wouldn't be Skyward Sword, or it would at the very least be removing one of the best features of the game for absolutely no reason. A HD version will happen, not for a while IMO, but changing the controls would be dumb-dumb.
@Xenocity exactly, heaven forbid Nintendo charge £10 for one of the most iconic games ever, yet that much won't get you a month's subscription to PS Now nor is it enough to get most of the worthwhile games on the Xbox One's backwards compatibility list.
We're talking about £3-4 here in terms of it being excessive. There's games that aren't finished being released for £50+ with Season Passes every month it seems in the 'AAA' market. Maybe that's more worthy of complaint, maybe I dunno?
@Xenocity my point was more the fact that you have to pay at all for games you already own on their previous system. PS1, PS2 or PS3 it matters not as far as Sony are concerned, you want to play them on PS4? £££££££££££££/€€€€€€€€€€€/$$$$$$$$$$$
@Peach64 lol Sony being used as the beacon of playing old games on new systems. The moment I saw they wanted me to pay £12 for Final Fantasy VII amongst other games I already own on PS3 to play them on my PS4 they lost any credit they might've had in this area. PS Now is also toilet, crap, overpriced, a waste of time/money and basically crap.
Wow an actual fighting game without a Season Pass, does have substantial single-player content and not something we've seen more than 10 versions of already. All it needs is a stable online and Nintendo surely bag 'Fighting Game of the Year' for the second time in 3 years, though considering the standards set by Street Fighter V it isn't saying a lot.
@NodesforNoids 10/10 if you're being sarcastic there. Otherwise I'm glad I don't have your taste in videogames. Can you send me over your (I presume you're from the US) "abysmal handheld" so I can play the latest 85+ Metacritic games on it pretty please? I'll send it back in time for the Dragon Quest ports and going by Square-Enix's release timeframes that could well be a loooooooooong time away
I thought this was pretty much guaranteed already without the need for some Youtuber 'confirming' it. It's no coincidence in my eyes that FFVII Remake's reveal left the door open to it being on other systems, then SE confirm their intentions to support NX with the less popular Dragon Quest XI and then Cloud gets in Smash. Too many things there that point to a single outcome, which is mainline Final Fantasy on a Nintendo platform.
Absolutely loved Default, despite the infamous final third of it. This was always going to be a must buy and I'm glad to see it's up to the standards of the original.
Bonkers is right, so brilliantly OTT that they make the majority of Final Smashes look tame in comparison. I love Gengar's and Chandelure's the most myself.

This will do for me. Now to play the very fun game of saving up the pennies and staying on alert to pre-order the Special Edition. Fun all around.

There seems to be a reverse Star Fox Zero effect going on here judging by these comments. Though what you do say is 100% right on the money, I don't even understand why Sony dedicated the 2-3 seconds they did to showcasing the Vita in their E3 conference, it's borderline insulting considering how they've treated us owners who bought into their tripe.
Re: Rumour: EA And Nintendo Looking To Rekindle "Unprecedented Partnership" On NX
Re: Talking Point: Pokémon and Mega Man Show Us Extremes of Nostalgia's Value
@KnightRider666 You've bought a Vita for Sony's version of the "VC"?
That's like buying a coffee machine expecting it to make you the best tea ever, or buying a snowmobile to take you across the Sahara Desert. I just hope that the deal you got on Balck Friday was a good one, because I don't see any other good things your purchase could have.
I'll let Jim take over here:

Reading this article and the many deluded comments reminds me greatly of this debacle. It's like this never happened and it should be in Nintendo's best interests to turn their system into a 'sports, TV and COD' machine. Get Mario to be powered up by Mountain Dew and Doritos instead of Fire Flowers and Mushrooms and have a Metroid/COD crossover.
It'll be a hit with the dudes!
Re: Talking Point: At 30 Years Old The Legend of Zelda is Well Placed to be Nintendo's Most Influential Franchise
@AndrewJ if it had 'regular controls' it wouldn't be Skyward Sword, or it would at the very least be removing one of the best features of the game for absolutely no reason. A HD version will happen, not for a while IMO, but changing the controls would be dumb-dumb.
Re: Video: Nintendo Goes for a Dramatic Approach in Its Fire Emblem Fates Launch Trailer
"Available now"
I cri evry time.
Re: Pokémon Red, Blue And Yellow European Pricing Is Confirmed
@Xenocity exactly, heaven forbid Nintendo charge £10 for one of the most iconic games ever, yet that much won't get you a month's subscription to PS Now nor is it enough to get most of the worthwhile games on the Xbox One's backwards compatibility list.
We're talking about £3-4 here in terms of it being excessive. There's games that aren't finished being released for £50+ with Season Passes every month it seems in the 'AAA' market. Maybe that's more worthy of complaint, maybe I dunno?
Re: Pokémon Red, Blue And Yellow European Pricing Is Confirmed
@Xenocity my point was more the fact that you have to pay at all for games you already own on their previous system. PS1, PS2 or PS3 it matters not as far as Sony are concerned, you want to play them on PS4? £££££££££££££/€€€€€€€€€€€/$$$$$$$$$$$
Re: Pokémon Red, Blue And Yellow European Pricing Is Confirmed
@Peach64 lol Sony being used as the beacon of playing old games on new systems. The moment I saw they wanted me to pay £12 for Final Fantasy VII amongst other games I already own on PS3 to play them on my PS4 they lost any credit they might've had in this area. PS Now is also toilet, crap, overpriced, a waste of time/money and basically crap.
But sure Nintendo are the only rip-offs here.
Re: Video: Take a Tour of Pokkén Tournament
Wow an actual fighting game without a Season Pass, does have substantial single-player content and not something we've seen more than 10 versions of already. All it needs is a stable online and Nintendo surely bag 'Fighting Game of the Year' for the second time in 3 years, though considering the standards set by Street Fighter V it isn't saying a lot.
Re: Nintendo Download: 18th February (North America)
@NodesforNoids 10/10 if you're being sarcastic there. Otherwise I'm glad I don't have your taste in videogames. Can you send me over your (I presume you're from the US) "abysmal handheld" so I can play the latest 85+ Metacritic games on it pretty please? I'll send it back in time for the Dragon Quest ports and going by Square-Enix's release timeframes that could well be a loooooooooong time away
Re: Rumour: Final Fantasy VII Remake And XV Headed To NX, Could Be Definitive Versions
Re: Review: Bravely Second: End Layer (3DS)
Absolutely loved Default, despite the infamous final third of it. This was always going to be a must buy and I'm glad to see it's up to the standards of the original.
Re: Video: Watch Every Single One of Pokkén Tournament's Take on Fatalities
Bonkers is right, so brilliantly OTT that they make the majority of Final Smashes look tame in comparison. I love Gengar's and Chandelure's the most myself.
