I think you get my point regardless of whether you've watched that particular SpongeBob episode to understand the reference.
You pretty much know what you're going to get when you hear the words 'realistic styled Link from a western perspective', the art here doesn't surprise me in the least. Bland, generic, uninspired, gritty, bleh. There's traces of artistic integrity here and there (it's certainly 1000000 times better than what I can do lol) but you change the design of the shield (get rid of the Triforce mainly) and photoshop Geralt's face on there, it would be a fantastic fan art of The Witcher 3 of Gerlat of Rivia battling through the forests of Velen. Maybe add a few wraiths for good measure and get rid of the tunic. But regardless that's the main problem these guys have, they're tainted no doubt about it, but the design leaves so little room from a creative point of view- they're all the same. Harsh but true the way I see it.
@c1pher_c0mplet we accept your apology. Now let's see if the two doofuses calling for the head indie guy to go for announcing that the most successful indie game of all time (and 3rd game in general) is coming to Nintendo for the first time. Seriously never mind putting two and two together and getting 4 these guys probably can't tie their shoelaces of this is the extent of their logic. What'd they expect F-Zero? A new IP? Half-Life 3? Hahahahahahahaha.
They've seen thebitblock's recent Animal Crossing Wii U vid and so have got him to put it on the Wii U in less than a day. Quite amazingly that is actually quite reasonable compared to some peoples' thoughts here. It's probably Minecraft or Smash news.
@Nintenjoe64 I wouldn't be surprised if that was happening right now, they helped with Skyward Sword though I'm not sure what their part was in it. Being in-between projects and being pretty good at videogame world design, Nintendo's Zelda team would be pretty silly not to get them involved in some way.
Huh, you can catch one quite easily in the Santalune or Viridian Forest for the price of a single Pokeball if you're good enough. I ain't got the money to spend on this, regardless of how good in quality they want me to think it is.
@XCWarrior it is fascinating to me to wonder if something seemingly impossible 10-15 years ago could be edging closer and closer-that something being a merger between Nintendo and Sega, the so-called 'grandfathers' of video gaming. Do people see it as a possibility? I still can't see it but boy would it be big news. Possibly even just Soinc, Miyamoto, Tezsuka and the like making a proper Sonic game, I'd be excited, to say the least. Thoughts anyone?
@Mr_Diabolical language dude, pretty sure this is a family friendly site, and it shouldn't affect you that much what a group of people think of some games. I agree with you about the latter two, DAI was boring for me and the 3DS has been criminally overlooked by a lot of critics/pundits in favour of the more popular mobile scene. Your opinion of Splatoon isn't as clear-cut for others as you seem convinced it is, some of us are bored silly of head shots and kill streaks, Splatoon was a fantastic and fresh take on multiplayer shooters, and more than deserves its awardS in my opinion, and obviously the people deciding this at the Game Awards.
Wow, poor Sega, no major big game to get excited for from them either (bar Atlus' Persona 5). Played Sonic Generations recently for the first time and had a blast, I don't want that the be the last great Sega/Sonic game for a long time, though it's already been about 5 years.
I think @Artwark has a point, though he/she could be nicer when saying it. This is basically the worst case scenario that Nintendo could be in looking 10/15 years into the future, if they're only making good Mario/Zelda games every leap year. Sega have dug their own grave, as they only recently admitted. Never forget their role in Aliens Colonial Marines, their abandoning of some of their franchises and their treatment of Sonic with 06 and Boom in particular.
@Splatburst yep that's one thing I would not like a repeat of. It's one thing to be honest and upfront about your limitations, it's an altogether different one to lie and deceive people. That's why I'm happy to buy Indivisible on my PS4 or Xbox One but why I'll never, ever buy Project CARS or its sequel(s).
@Xenocity yeah...............no I think you're just talking nonsense. The bros who play FIFA, COD and Assassin's Creed (some of them because for some their gaming barley goes into even that) obviously don't give two hoots about Zelda or Nintendo in general, but then they don't care about these awards either (neither do I tbf but that's because they're a joke imo). If Nintendo show Zelda U, a new Mario game or heck even Pokemon (extremely unlikely) there will be a positive reception.
@Xenocity 'booed out of the building again' when did that happen the first time? From what I can remember last year Nintendo showed 2 minutes of off screen Zelda footage, millions viewed it and they were widely praised for bringing their most anticipated game to this show. Everyone worth talking to in gaming has at the very least an appreciation of Zelda, which is not a 'kiddie' game but rather in the top 5 at least most influential game series of all time. Where did that comment come from dude?
Yeah I watched this on Facebook without the spoiler warning and I think I've had something spoiled for me so I'd advise against watching this if you're wary of spoilers, otherwise it's a great trailer.
1.5 mill straight off the bat!? Wow Nintendo have a heck of a job to do in the west, particularly with 3rd parties, but in Japan it's an altogether different story. With their exclusives combined with having Monster Hunter and Yokai-Watch exclusive it's almost unfair.
I'll wait for a discount, with 2 Forza game and Mario Kart 8 I'm satisfied with the racing games I've got, though £11 is very reasonable. Hopefully the F-Zero fans (which I'm not one of) are happy with this as an alternative, it's been too long since GX and with no new on on the horizon (ironic considering that's one of the racing games I'm playing right now lol) this will keep them happy. Happy nough hopefully that they STFU about it for a few months joking guys I'm on your side.
Wow, I have thought why there aren't things like that in games nowadays. I'd have never thought it was patented. Glad it has expired as recent games like The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne have had me really disappointed in their loading times and screens. Staring at the word 'Bloodborne' for more than a minute? Who thought that was a good idea? Thankfully that was resolved months ago but this can only help the situation.
@Sligeach tbf Nintendo still have success here even recently, Majora's Mask 3D was the highest selling title in February and became the fastest selling Zelda title ever in the UK. The same thing happened with ORAS this time last year, fastest selling Pokemon games ever in the UK. And Wii U titles Mario Kart 8, SSB, Splatoon, Mario Maker etc have all sold well, as have amiibo of course. How much of that was because of the marketing team? I don't have a clue, but I do know you're being really, really harsh there with your view, it appears to me that there's some personal bias there, you get sacked from there in the past or something lol. For me it's really simple, Nintendo did well last year because they had Smash and ORAS, this year they had nought.
I always felt that this game got a harsh reputation, though that's probably to do with the quality of of series as a whole that this inevitably gets compared to. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's excellent, even considering the standards in 2007 and the hardware it was released on, but it is nevertheless still very, very good.
Hawlucha or Slacking as playable fighters please! I will also take really obscure ones that no one would guess or want like Cacturne, Muk, Tarous or Lickylicky lol.
@VanillaLake are you talking about a straight up port, remake or a new Xenoblade game? Can't tell what you mean at all in your comment there, it seemed like another 'every Wii U game on NX' comment but I'm not sure.
Your criticisms of the game's performance and the Wii U's capability to handle it seems completely unfounded as well. Not one review I have seen has complained of performance issues, because with the data thingys there are apparently none, commonplace with Nintendo games, Annoying aye, but they were made available in plenty time to download in both the US and Europe. Certainly no different or worse than say The Witcher 3 which needed a 15GB patch months after its initial launch and after several smaller ones already and after I lost progress due to freezes and glitches.
But yeah can't wait to play this on my NX in January! Zelda too later in the year, Nintendo totally confirmed it fo' sho'.
@Yorumi this was how it went last time I gave the haters 'the benefit of the doubt'
Me: "Actually mate I think it's kinda a bit too early to be making presumptuous claims like the NX will definitely release in 2016 with Zelda U and that the Wii U is dead as there are multiple great games coming out for it.
One or two but it was actually several people in opposition: "Oh my God you fanboy! Stop supporting a dead console! My PS4 laughs at that joke of a system with no games! You have to be a pathetic fanboy to even suggest that Zelda U isn't coming out for NX also!"
Which is why I am not referring to these people or quoting them directly as the last time I tried to be civil with them they...well you've just seen what happened. And again I don't want to treat you like a 5 year old, they say the same things all the time after all, it's harder to avoid it unless you are doing it purposefully.
Anyway defo going now for realz, there's people who don't think exactly as I do elsewhere and I must correct them! j
Oh and Jim Sterling's latest Jimquisition is golden and I'm much preferring reading the idiotic comments there as opposed to here.
@Yorumi they throw the first stones, and pointing out that their behaviour as idiotic is of no concern to me when it is idiotic. I actually expected that reply from you, there's only 60 or so comments yet because they go against your opinion it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack and you need me to point them out for you? As I say I expected you to say that so subsequently I don't think it's worth me conversing with you as you're going to keep coming back with more excuses. Adios Mr/Mrs/Ms Glaceon and happy gaming
@Yorumi "Wii U is dead" "NX is out 2016" "Zelda U is an NX game, just like Twilight Princess" "Wii U is dead" "Wii U has no games" Quotes. Taken from this very article's comments section, some ever so slightly re-phrased. That illustrate my point. Understand now? Speculation and guesswork is fine and healthy but these people I've quoted are not doing that, they are posting the same things all the time trying to claim it as fact and going so far as to attack people who disagree, bringing that pathetic 'f' word into play. Which is why I left this site for several months after E3 when it was particularly toxic. Unless you're biased and on their side, you can't feign ignorance as to what they're doing on a regular basis. It's annoying and stupid, because that's exactly what they are, at least on the Internet.
@Yorumi thinking it makes sense is a lot, lot different than "2016 NX release, Wii U dead, Zelda U for NX Nintendoomed PS4 4evalolz" that the true idiots have been spurting out for months. It's idiotic to say "NX definitely will release in 2016" when you really should say "there's a chance that the NX might release in 2016". See the kinda big difference?
@Kirk the ironic thing is, that is the one sure fire thing we know it is. Iwata said it himself- NX "our next dedicated game hardware". The fact that there's someone who has an account here who is unsure about even that just highlights how little we know about the thing. Which then makes these idiots who've already decided that a 2016 release is set in stone look like, well, idiots.
Brace yourselves folks, the angry mob is a'comin' for Nintendo daring to release a Mario & Luigi game with Paper Mario but without Fawful, Count Bleck, the Shroobs, Cackletta et all. RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The huge amount of respect I have for Itoi only increases every time I hear him talk. He is most definitely a guy who is proud of his creations and won't rush ahead and tarnish them by making cash-ins, and that's why I am very happy to consider myself a big fan of his work. Other developers really should follow suit and not be at the beck-and-call of greedy publishers demanding their yearly re-hashed franchises. Though I will echo the sentiments of others here, Mother 3 is coming out on the eShop in Japan soon, so it really should come out elsewhere too, it's about time.
Wow, I feel kinda sorry for the people who feel vindicated in attacking Nintendo's weekly eShop updates, because this is fantastic. One great new game on each platform, and then the additions of Zack & Wiki (fantastic and cruely underrated game), a few Kirby games and Swords and Soldiers for less than £1? I'll be busy buying Nintendo games this week!
@Ogbert but then your solution too is a double edged blade. Sure making their next hardware a powerhouse is what some people would want, but Nintendo do quite rightly have a kiddie image that they don't shy away from and that their best IP personify, so making an expensive and powerful piece of hardware would alienate a large percentage of their target audience if parents deem it too expensive or techy (dunno the right word) for their kids.
That would be doubly so if the 'NX' is a handheld is some capacity (which is still a possibility) as their portable consoles have never been too far away from being toys. So as far as I see things, making the highest quality console on the market is not the sure-fire guarantee of success that some people seem to think it will be.
Well I think that right there is undeniably a great deal. Xenoblade Chronicles for less than a tenner? You'd be daft to pass it up at that price when people have paid upwards of $100 for it when it was as rare af a couple of years ago in America. Kid Icarus Uprsing and Bayonetta 2 are at great prices too, hopefully the late adopters to the Wii U buy Bayonetta in some capacity as it is one of the best on the console.
So that's Nintendoomed, Wii U sucks, Wii U won't sell, Wii U dead, Nintendo hate their fans NX launching 2016, Zelda for NX etc all confirmed signed and sealed then? Or do these geniuses only come out of hiding when it suits them? Well done Nintendo, about time the Wii U had a solid line-up of games along with a great bundle at a reasonable price. Hopefully it means more fresh noobish meat for me to conquer on Splatoon and Smash
@123akis they are pretty garbage sales to be fair, but some people are taking this waaaaaaaaaaay too seriously. If it isn't AC amiibo Festival that they're whining about it's the lack of Wii U sales/games or the weekly digital sales on the eShop or Starfox Zero's graphics or Zelda on NX or Paper Jam not having any story. Gotta get drunk on that whine whenever and wherever Nintendo are concerned.
@liveswired try Nintendooooooooooomed, that's my favourite, the more 'o's you include, the more smart you look to friends and strangers alike that you came up with such ingenious names. I mean, not that you need to prove your intelligence to us, we're all already convinced that you know your stuff. Can you please comment on the thread with tomorrow's sales more insightful commentary? I can't wait to hear more!
Xenoblade Chronicles for £18! That's an absolute snip! Heard of people who've spent upwards of $80-100 on this game when it was impossible to find and they still had no regrets after playing through it fully. Best game on the Wii by a long shot, and with this, Galaxy 2, the Prime Trilogy, DKCR and Punch-out!! that's a great selection of Wii games if you missed out on them originally.
Nintendo's DLC rules and is the example to follow. The triple A industry ruined what was a great idea and now it is hard to find a good example of DLC there what with the £30 Season Pass for Arkham Knight, the two Season Passes for Evolve and the idea of Season Passes in general. It's just to much to ask it seems for the big publishers/developers to do it right, give us something(s) substantial that enhances the experience of the game post-launch, not something withheld, don't advertise the crap out of it and make it reasonably priced. Is that so hard to do? Nintendo proves that it shouldn't be, but fat chance WB, EA, Ubisoft et all with follow suit.
@Ryno well I'd be amazed if it wasn't. There's like nothing major releasing until MGSV on September 1st. The main reason it's even achieved that? Because it's $30. So well done to Microsoft for that deal, I'm probably only going to have to pay £10-15 when I get it in a few months, but if this sells 1 million by the end of the year I'd be very surprised. 2 million and I'd take back what I've said, but that is not going to happen so there's no point worrying about that.
@Cyberbotv2 "most of the folks have moved onto Sony and Microsoft a long time ago". I'd refer you to one of my posts above, why aren't there sequels in development for these games? Why is this game only $30? Why did Microsoft have Rare working on Kinect for years? The answer to all those questions is simple, Rare games do not and will not sell well on Xbox. Again if you honestly think that even 10% of the Xbox One fanbase would pay even $30 for this game at launch, then I'd refer you to the last two words of your comment. Get real.
@Peach64 whilst all that is obviously true, it's also true that there will not be a massive number of Xbox One owners who will buy this game, it's just obvious even at $30, there's a very good chance this won't sell 'well'. I'd say I'd be wiling to say this, if this game was put on the Wii U exclusively, it would sell just as well as it is going to now exclusive to Xbox One. How many people do you think will pay even $30 for this game over the next 6 months or so when they're also saving up their pennies for ROTTR, Forza 6, Halo 5, Gears of War Ultimate Edition and the countless 3rd party games like SWB, Fallout 4, COD, Assassin's Creed, FIFA and MGSV. Never mind the fact that there's been a good dozen or so great games already on Xbox One that have helped empty wallets.
You're absolutely right that a lot of N64 owners don't own a Wii U, some have died, others found other hobbies, others fallen out of love for gaming alltogether. But do you think that there's a significant number who flocked over to Xbox and still play it to this day? I extremely doubt it. I would go so far as to say that every single game I listed will outsell the Rare Replay despite being twice as expensive. There's a reason why they're making a cheap port collection for $30 rather than 6/7 rebirths for these franchises, because they will not sell. I'll wait for the article that says "Banjo-Threeie sells over 10 million on Xbox One", but I have a feeling I'll be kept waiting.
@Ryno I hope you enjoy it, I'm sure I will when I get it and the Xbox One eventually, but come on that is some serious BS right there. Barring the fact that Microsoft have undeniably crippled Rare from what they once were, a point that has already been pointed out and one that you convinielty ignore, you and I both know the main reason why this is $30 is because they know that very, very few Xbox players are interested in playing more than a dozen NES/SNES games, 7/8 N64 games and about half a dozen 360 games they probably already scoffed at when they first came out. If Microsoft can charge $60 for a game they will, you think the people who paid $60 for Titanfall, Ryse and the MCC (online broken at lauch included) are looking at Microsoft with this and saying 'yup well done guys you've never ripped us off before', when you can probably buy all three of them together now for less than the price of the Rare Replay? I thought not.
I would be tempted to agree with your first point where you say that you're glad Microsoft bought Rare, but from what you then said afterward, you make it seem like Nintendo are the ones who tried to get away with releasing a console where you don't own the games you buy for it, and you and I both know the company who actually tried that one.
Well there are technical, business and logical reasons as to why the Rare Replay is not on Wii U. Even if this is true and understandable, it is a crying shame that none of Rare's classics have been able to release on VC, baring of course the DK games.
The ultimate irony I see from all this is it just shows another bad side of the lying culture that the industry is in ATM, it was only a few moths ago when Phil Spencer himself tweeted that there would be no problems in working with Nintendo on Rare IPs, as they have supposedly done so in the past, when answering a tweet on Banjo and Kazooie's chances of being in Smash. But I just can't at all believe that to be true, as there seems to be problems, obvious ones at that, between Microsoft and Nintendo when it comes to Rare. Hell even the Diddy Kong Racing port for the DS many years ago, one of the times I'm sure Mr Spencer was referring to when he said there were 'no problems in the past', had all the Rare content removed from the game, making it a joke really.
I'm not sure whether or not to blame Nintendo or Microsoft for this, but in an ideal world the Rare Replay would release on Wii U as well, or at that very least the likes of Banjo-Kazooie, CBFD and Battletoads would be on the e-Shop, and potentially the DK games would be included in the Rare Replay on both consoles, that would be as I say in an ideal world, possibly not realistic considering it's business, but then even as unrealistic as that is, I still think it stinks that Phil Spencer can say there's no problems here, when I see it exactly the opposite.
In short, don't expect Banjo or the Battletoads in Smash guys, don't waste your votes on them, both Nintendo and Microsoft are determined to keep us from getting what we could in a world with no problems, unfortunately.
And people say Nintendo are doomed, heck even Sega are 1000000 times more stable than this company. Jezz Louise. Though things have evidently been wrong for a while now there, it's not just potential staff mistreatment internally either, they genuinely are ruled by idiots who don't know how to business properly. Releasing MGS HD Collection on the same day as Modern Warfare 3, and making it scarce in most regions, as well as releasing 3 Silent Hill games in a month and not giving some of their lesser titles any publicity at all before release. And this was all in 2012, nevermind the recent PT and Kojima disasters. They're just waiting for the inevitable now.
@manu0 speak for yourself bud, I'm sure wherever you're from, the PS4 is the highest selling console, COD has sold the most each year for the last 1000000000 years and all your neighbours have played Flappy Bird. The UK is no different or unusual.
@Superryanworld I love Okami, one of the best games ever, no doubt. The world (or at least the gaming side of the world) would be a better place if companies used that game as a template for their future games. It's just a shame it was inevitable not going to sell well, because the focus groups are spot on, you put a bro-dude-shooter on the cover of your game (Bioshock Infinite) it's 1000000000% guaranteed to sell better than Okami when the protagonist on the box is a wolf (though BI is a great game just shows again how far the industry has fallen when a guy has to be the protagonist and the female is degraded to a secondary role).
@HandheldGuru97 nice comment, I'm with you on the whole, but I've just noticed a rampant increase since E3, sure most people were disappointed, but still going on about that? Give it a break, it got boring the very next day. Still Nintendo will always have my support, yet to play too many games elsewhere that match up to Zelda, Xenoblade, Mario Galaxy games, Splatoon etc.
@TheRealThanos you can't like the Wii U, or even Nintendo in general, even on a Nintendo fansite. It's the unwritten 11th sin 'thou shall not be optimistic for all things Wii U!' Otherwise, you are in denial, a fanboy or know nothing. On a Nintendo fansite. -_-
@HandheldGuru97 brace yourself, being positive about Nintendo isn't a good thing to do around these parts (yes a Nintendo fansite I know to figure) but I'll join in with you. I'm very excited that Dragon Quest is getting a revival of sorts, with the 3DS remakes, Heroes, Monsters Joker 3 and now this, now is most certainly a good time to be a Dragon Quest fan. Just not a Nintendo fan. Because f*** Nintendo and f*** the Wii U. Am I cool now haters?
@TwilightAngel because Square-Enix are like pretty much all 3rd party devs and are only concerned about the bottom line? It's launching on the two most successful consoles of this gen, it's also, believe it or not, not coming to the Xbox One, does that mean that's dead too? But of course they got Rise of the Tomb Raider and guess how they got it? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. It's all about money, not companies showing support to systems to prevent them from being dead. This while debate started with me replying to someone to show how NINTENDO (and not 3rd parties) aren't abandoning Wii U. If Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo wanted this exclusive they could've got it, just look at ROTTR, all they need is to give SE $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ as Sony have done with Final Fantasy VII remake. SE not showing support to the Wii U doesn't mean anything, the only way it would've gone on the system is if Nintendo gave SE $$$$$$$$$$$$$. When Nintendo stop making Wii U games is the time when it is 'dead', just like what happened with the Wii.

Re: Video: Build the Buzz for Xenoblade Chronicles X With This Extended Launch Trailer
Yeah I watched this on Facebook without the spoiler warning and I think I've had something spoiled for me so I'd advise against watching this if you're wary of spoilers, otherwise it's a great trailer.
Re: Monster Hunter X (Cross) Storms to Japanese Chart Lead and Boosts New 3DS Sales
1.5 mill straight off the bat!? Wow Nintendo have a heck of a job to do in the west, particularly with 3rd parties, but in Japan it's an altogether different story. With their exclusives combined with having Monster Hunter and Yokai-Watch exclusive it's almost unfair.
Re: FAST Racing NEO Release Date and Pricing Speed Into View
I'll wait for a discount, with 2 Forza game and Mario Kart 8 I'm satisfied with the racing games I've got, though £11 is very reasonable. Hopefully the F-Zero fans (which I'm not one of) are happy with this as an alternative, it's been too long since GX and with no new on on the horizon (ironic considering that's one of the racing games I'm playing right now lol) this will keep them happy. Happy nough hopefully that they STFU about it for a few months joking guys I'm on your side.
Re: You'll Now Be Able To Play Mini-Games During Loading Times
Wow, I have thought why there aren't things like that in games nowadays. I'd have never thought it was patented. Glad it has expired as recent games like The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne have had me really disappointed in their loading times and screens. Staring at the word 'Bloodborne' for more than a minute? Who thought that was a good idea? Thankfully that was resolved months ago but this can only help the situation.
Re: Black Friday Sales Bring Little Joy for Nintendo in the UK
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Wii U eShop / DS)
I always felt that this game got a harsh reputation, though that's probably to do with the quality of of series as a whole that this inevitably gets compared to. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's excellent, even considering the standards in 2007 and the hardware it was released on, but it is nevertheless still very, very good.
Re: A Major Pokkén Tournament Announcement is Coming on 10th December
Hawlucha or Slacking as playable fighters please! I will also take really obscure ones that no one would guess or want like Cacturne, Muk, Tarous or Lickylicky lol.
Re: Monster Hunter X Has Outsold Monster Hunter 4G on the Japanese 3DS eShop
Nintendo are doomed, no 3rd party support, needs record breaking games zzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Re: Review: Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U)
Re: Rumour: NX Set for 2016 Release With Nintendo Targeting 20 Million Shipped Units
Re: Rumour: NX Set for 2016 Release With Nintendo Targeting 20 Million Shipped Units
Re: Rumour: NX Set for 2016 Release With Nintendo Targeting 20 Million Shipped Units
@Yorumi "Wii U is dead"
"NX is out 2016"
"Zelda U is an NX game, just like Twilight Princess"
"Wii U is dead"
"Wii U has no games"
Quotes.
Re: Rumour: NX Set for 2016 Release With Nintendo Targeting 20 Million Shipped Units
Re: Rumour: NX Set for 2016 Release With Nintendo Targeting 20 Million Shipped Units
Re: Review: Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. (3DS)
@zool wait a few hours bruh.
Re: Review: Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. (3DS)
Re: Shigesato Itoi on the Mother Series' Popularity, Denies Mother 4
The huge amount of respect I have for Itoi only increases every time I hear him talk. He is most definitely a guy who is proud of his creations and won't rush ahead and tarnish them by making cash-ins, and that's why I am very happy to consider myself a big fan of his work. Other developers really should follow suit and not be at the beck-and-call of greedy publishers demanding their yearly re-hashed franchises. Though I will echo the sentiments of others here, Mother 3 is coming out on the eShop in Japan soon, so it really should come out elsewhere too, it's about time.
Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd December (Europe)
Wow, I feel kinda sorry for the people who feel vindicated in attacking Nintendo's weekly eShop updates, because this is fantastic. One great new game on each platform, and then the additions of Zack & Wiki (fantastic and cruely underrated game), a few Kirby games and Swords and Soldiers for less than £1? I'll be busy buying Nintendo games this week!
Re: Wii U Named as "The Top Selling Item on Target.com" In Black Friday Sales
Re: Nintendo of Europe's eShop Cyber Deals End With a Bang on Wii U and 3DS
Well I think that right there is undeniably a great deal. Xenoblade Chronicles for less than a tenner? You'd be daft to pass it up at that price when people have paid upwards of $100 for it when it was as rare af a couple of years ago in America. Kid Icarus Uprsing and Bayonetta 2 are at great prices too, hopefully the late adopters to the Wii U buy Bayonetta in some capacity as it is one of the best on the console.
Re: Wii U Named as "The Top Selling Item on Target.com" In Black Friday Sales
So that's Nintendoomed, Wii U sucks, Wii U won't sell, Wii U dead, Nintendo hate their fans NX launching 2016, Zelda for NX etc all confirmed signed and sealed then? Or do these geniuses only come out of hiding when it suits them? Well done Nintendo, about time the Wii U had a solid line-up of games along with a great bundle at a reasonable price. Hopefully it means more fresh noobish meat for me to conquer on Splatoon and Smash
Re: Nintendo of Europe Confirms Its Second Batch of eShop Cyber Deals
@123akis they are pretty garbage sales to be fair, but some people are taking this waaaaaaaaaaay too seriously. If it isn't AC amiibo Festival that they're whining about it's the lack of Wii U sales/games or the weekly digital sales on the eShop or Starfox Zero's graphics or Zelda on NX or Paper Jam not having any story. Gotta get drunk on that whine whenever and wherever Nintendo are concerned.
Re: Nintendo of Europe Confirms Its Second Batch of eShop Cyber Deals
@liveswired try Nintendooooooooooomed, that's my favourite, the more 'o's you include, the more smart you look to friends and strangers alike that you came up with such ingenious names. I mean, not that you need to prove your intelligence to us, we're all already convinced that you know your stuff. Can you please comment on the thread with tomorrow's sales more insightful commentary? I can't wait to hear more!
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Wii U Bundle and Special Edition Confirmed for Europe, Wii Original on the eShop Now
Xenoblade Chronicles for £18!
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Game Updates and DLC Are Fantastic, Albeit Starved of Attention
Re: Soapbox: It's A Tragedy That Rare Replay Isn't On A Nintendo Console
@Ryno well I'd be amazed if it wasn't. There's like nothing major releasing until MGSV on September 1st. The main reason it's even achieved that? Because it's $30. So well done to Microsoft for that deal, I'm probably only going to have to pay £10-15 when I get it in a few months, but if this sells 1 million by the end of the year I'd be very surprised. 2 million and I'd take back what I've said, but that is not going to happen so there's no point worrying about that.
Re: Soapbox: It's A Tragedy That Rare Replay Isn't On A Nintendo Console
@Cyberbotv2 "most of the folks have moved onto Sony and Microsoft a long time ago". I'd refer you to one of my posts above, why aren't there sequels in development for these games? Why is this game only $30? Why did Microsoft have Rare working on Kinect for years? The answer to all those questions is simple, Rare games do not and will not sell well on Xbox. Again if you honestly think that even 10% of the Xbox One fanbase would pay even $30 for this game at launch, then I'd refer you to the last two words of your comment. Get real.
Re: Soapbox: It's A Tragedy That Rare Replay Isn't On A Nintendo Console
Re: Soapbox: It's A Tragedy That Rare Replay Isn't On A Nintendo Console
Re: Soapbox: It's A Tragedy That Rare Replay Isn't On A Nintendo Console
Re: Scathing Nikkei Report Hints At Shameful Treatment Of Staff By Dictatorial Konami Management
Re: Nintendo Is Planning Its Own Loot Crate-Style Subscription Service
@manu0 speak for yourself bud, I'm sure wherever you're from, the PS4 is the highest selling console, COD has sold the most each year for the last 1000000000 years and all your neighbours have played Flappy Bird. The UK is no different or unusual.
Re: Dragon Quest XI Is Coming To The Nintendo 3DS And Nintendo NX
Re: Dragon Quest XI Is Coming To The Nintendo 3DS And Nintendo NX
@HandheldGuru97 nice comment, I'm with you on the whole, but I've just noticed a rampant increase since E3, sure most people were disappointed, but still going on about that? Give it a break, it got boring the very next day. Still Nintendo will always have my support, yet to play too many games elsewhere that match up to Zelda, Xenoblade, Mario Galaxy games, Splatoon etc.
Re: Dragon Quest XI Is Coming To The Nintendo 3DS And Nintendo NX
@TheRealThanos you can't like the Wii U, or even Nintendo in general, even on a Nintendo fansite. It's the unwritten 11th sin 'thou shall not be optimistic for all things Wii U!' Otherwise, you are in denial, a fanboy or know nothing. On a Nintendo fansite. -_-
Re: Dragon Quest XI Is Coming To The Nintendo 3DS And Nintendo NX
@HandheldGuru97 brace yourself, being positive about Nintendo isn't a good thing to do around these parts (yes a Nintendo fansite I know to figure) but I'll join in with you. I'm very excited that Dragon Quest is getting a revival of sorts, with the 3DS remakes, Heroes, Monsters Joker 3 and now this, now is most certainly a good time to be a Dragon Quest fan. Just not a Nintendo fan. Because f*** Nintendo and f*** the Wii U. Am I cool now haters?
Re: Dragon Quest XI Is Coming To The Nintendo 3DS And Nintendo NX
