Still find it weird that Sonic needs a kart to compete. The universe is rich for track building and characters, but it just doesn't sit right with me. Anyway, looking forward to see what this brings to the table.

I would try the demo if it came over. Don't like the time limit on it though. The reliance on internet really hampers the portable nature of the Switch.

If it released in tandem with PS5, I would buy a Vita 2 with certain crossplay/buy features. Not interested in a hybrid standalone. I like the power couple testing the boundaries of tech in consoles and the Switch sorting out the handheld area of the market.

@chardir I thought this. Selling these games together for £60-70 on NES Mini and then pretty much the same for the launch of the online subscription. I don't understand.

Sounds good to me. The track list basically writes itself as well as the roster of racers to choose from!

Impressive and glad its selling well. However, not surprising as retail releases have been thin on the ground recently.

If the rumours of Rage 2 coming to the Switch are true, I can imagine that being even larger. Certainly, a substantial SD card looks like a better buy as time passes.

@gokev13 Unfortunately, I doubt you will be able to download any at all. Otherwise people would, like you said, pay for a month and download the lot. Even if you could only download a couple, that would be incentive enough to not pay the full year sub if you only care about certain games. Maybe, just maybe, there will be a client on your Switch that can cross check your membership to enable downloaded games to be played on the go without a connection..I just don't see that happening. I really would like to be proven wrong.

Happy to see MH on Switch finally! Although its a bit like being served a warm beer. Not the best, but its still beer! Will be great when I'm away from my PS4.

All I read are either people expecting more and others happy to have a bad service because its cheap. Have some respect for yourselves and seek improvement from this. It really isn't good enough - especially when compared to the competition.

@Stocksy If Star Wars came to a Nintendo branded Blu Ray player, this site would be claiming that it was technically a new movie as most people didn't own a VCR....and charge more for it.

@Faruko I can't deny the attractiveness of taking these games on the go. Glad you are enjoying it : ) I guess portability doesn't normally factor into my buying decisions, so my reason for buying a Switch would be for first party games and new IP. Ports and indies are great as long as they aren't the main course. That's my view anyway.

@Bunkerneath To be fair, the video was labelled new Switch games as opposed to just new games. I agree that the lack of actually new games is a disappointment. The indies do well to fill the gaps between the ports, but these aren't reasons to buy a new console.

Looks nice. Always thought a campaign similar to that found in the game "De Blob" would suit Splatoon.

Like the look of the Compendium edition. Hope there will be some left once the reviews drop.

So, are we slowly going to see Switch become the 3DS successor and the move to a single system Nintendo? I don't mind either way, but don't bring both with me on the go. I would be a choice. Against popular opinion, but if this is the case I still hope for a Nintendbox traditional home console in line with the next gen consoles (PS5 XB1X(?)) to sit side by side with the switch.

@Tra6zon1uyum Just a note of caution. This isn't like stardew valley. It has simple building placement system for holding a couple of animals and that's about it. No economy to speak of. If you don't get your hopes up, it is a nice relaxing game. Stardew Valley is far deeper however. Hope you enjoy Yonder, I did : )

A simple game with a lovely atmosphere and world to explore. Don't expect much from the farming and crafting aspects. Its a chill game that may last you 5-6 hours.

Was never for me, but didn't think about storage. That is a lot of stuff to find a home for.

@StuTwo I appreciate that chart. Makes it quite clear. Wasn't aware of the global trend, so could only comment on a UK perspective. Whether the global trends are due to new markets opening up as time goes on (South Korea recently for Switch for example) isn't something I could prove - but thought provoking non the less. Focusing on one country like this chart seems to be the way forward. Anyway, think my angle got mistaken for fanboyism - it's promoting the complete opposite. Glad Switch is doing well, but to deride other products on the back of it seems daft and childish (that wasn't aimed at you at all).

@StuTwo I have no details for Japan, but for the UK that just isn't true.

Although Switch sales are impressive in Japan, comparing them to PS4 sales seems a little weird. If both consoles released at the same time, then I would be interested. Fact is, most people who wanted a PS4 bought one years ago. Wouldn't have bought this up, but it seems to be a common theme in the comments sections and the sub header.

I'm calling this out as a fake. Just compared the screenshot to the actual store and the font looks different. Close, but no cigar.

I hope it comes to Switch. I own a PS4 so will be buying, but don't see why this couldn't come down the line. With the Switch launching a lot later than PS4/XB1, I am surprised more people don't own multiple systems to enjoy this game.

Cover art looks ropey as hell. Will see if official announcement rears it's head. 4 player LAN would be excellent in this game.

Nothing for me in April or May. Still got Ni No Kuni 2 to play through so not starved yet.

I joked about this in the last Nindies article and lo and behold. It frustrates me as you need good digital sales to ensure a retail sale would be a success, but that leaves the original supporters of the game hard done by if they were to prefer the retail version. If everyone waited, this would never have happened. Of course, people bought it digital in their droves and now have to consider whether the retail is worth double dipping. Frustrating.

@JohnG Thanks! I wonder if it's a sequel to that particular game then. Wonder boy seems to be split into different "verses" and I'm now confused.

@Donutman I would like a mix of both indies and larger third party games. Having all these indies is great, but they seem to be filler at this point. Nintendo is treating them like a main course. This again is okay, I guess, but there isn't much that couldn't be played on a 3DS which makes the reason to upgrade to a Switch questionable. Obviously, everyone is different, but that is the reason why some are jubilant and others are a little fed up. I wont let either point of view impact my enjoyment.

Need more pixel art and 8bit games. Please also release physical for £30, but don't forget to only announce it after we've all bought digital. Thanks

A pretty, if simplistic, game. Highly recommended for children.

Already have a thread going so wont elaborate too much. Would have liked more information on new and original games. A little disappointing, although not unexpected.
