Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 On Switch

Sensible

@nuke13 I do not have a ten year old child.
Thank you for your assurance that kids do not buy V bucks because of reviews.
You can choose not to buy Mario Galaxy 1+2 if you think it is too expensive.
You can stop going to wrestling if it's too expensive.
For the benefit of those that aren't into wrestling yet....As the wrestling prices increase does the wrestling get worse or does it just become less affordable?

@MrGawain A 10 year old boy loves gaming now. Especially Mario/Nintendo etc...
He has played Mario 3D World, Mario Odyssey, Mario Wonder and loved them all.
He can ask for one game from Santa every Christmas.

He reads a 7/10 review of Mario Galaxy 1+2 and gets a different game for Christmas, as he thinks Mario Galaxy 1+2 sounds like it's not good value compared to other games and possibly one of the worst Mario games.

As a result he gets vbucks like the rest of the boys at school.

Re: Talking Point: Where On Earth Are The Switch 2 Soundtracks On Nintendo Music?

Sensible

To be honest one of the main draws of Mario kart world and DK Bananza for me was getting a chance to hear the music. We all know how savvy Nintendo can be when it comes to selling their wares. I dare say that if some of these games came to service immediately it would impact sales.

I would love to see better Android and Apple functionality - such as carplay and the ability to stream to Google Home etc....

Re: Best Yoshi Games Of All Time

Sensible

Personally I have a take here which I expect will be spicy.

Yoshi's Island on SNES is undoubtedly no.1 for me.
No 2 would be Touch and Go.

I believe it's a fantastic game with more depth than people realise. I would say it is one of my most played DS/3DS games ever.

Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A's Switch 2 And Switch 1 Prices Have Been Revealed

Sensible

@Maxz I simply find it ridiculous that Nintendo seem to be getting hit with the blame for rising game costs.

New games have generally been £70 on PS5 for quite some time now.

I've paid £99.99 for Monster Hunter Wilds and Doom The Dark Ages this year.
I've paid £79.99 for Death Stranding 2.
These are digital and preorder/release day prices.
They are the premium editions with the most content.

Donkey Kong is £58.99.
Mario Kart World is £66.99
These are the only versions of these games, so I consider them to be comparable to the Premium versions of the PS5 games I mentioned.

When compared to other AAA titles on PS5, Switch 2 games seem relatively low cost to me.

Re: Nintendo Removes Worrying Cloud Save Note From Select Switch 2 Game Pages

Sensible

This practice of scanning websites as soon as anything is created or amended online for tiny details is completely stupid.

I work for a tech company. We launch products in a similar fashion to how Nintendo are launching their consoles etc...

The Nintendo website is maintained by people that probably don't know what Nintendo Switch online cloud save functionality is.

Realistically why would Zelda not have cloud save functionality in the new version, when it had it previously?

Re: Players Need To Start "Feeling Comfortable" With Not Owning Games, Says Ubisoft Subs Boss

@JagGentlemann thanks for the English lesson there lad. I appreciate ur assistance.

See below. Note the part at approximately 1:40 from Yves himself.
He states you can pronounce it how you like in English. They completely ruined that by making their games "A Ubisoft Original."

Enjoy teaching English tomorrow, I wish your pupils all the best with their exams.

Re: Video: The Switch eShop Is Bad, And It's Making Us Sad

Sensible

@rockodoodle I can only speak for myself, but I'm not really interested in the Switch sales, as it's basically full of shovelware in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong the switch has a lot of quality titles, but I generally buy my first party Nintendo games easily on release day and use Steam, or the Xbox/playstation for all my third party or indie purchases with a few notable expections.

Re: Video: The Switch eShop Is Bad, And It's Making Us Sad

Sensible

The eshop is functional, it allows you to search for the game you want and easily download and pay for it.

I couldn't care less about the eshop being fun to browse. I'd rather play games.

As for the discoverability of games... That's what Nintendolife and other websites are there for.

Re: Anniversary: Super Mario Maker Turns 5 Years Old Today

Sensible

@Moonlessky I totally agree that Mario Maker 2 is the better title overall, yet I can't help but feel majorly disappointed about the lack of Amiibo support in the sequel.
Especially after it being so well implemented in the first one! - I was expecting it to be improved for the sequel not removed
