Also, why not consult the logs from Smash Bros online character selections? That would certainly confirm which characters were most popular and give a solid indication of which ones to remove.
I certainly appreciate Sakurai's contribution to Smash Brothers and the work he has done in the past.
Although "it's almost to the brink of death" is a bit much. The bad things people have written to me on this website today have left me so upset it's almost to the brink of death.
@PorllM I work in the creation of a website and newspaper, that actually is loved by millions it seems. (It was confirmed by ABC) I am entire life what?
@Araknie "multiple time?". I hope he got that fixed.
Look at what you are writing. Just put the characters in the game and thats it.
Next you'll be telling me Shinji Mikami almost commited suicide trying to decide how much ammo to put in Resident Evil.
I appreciate it's a difficult decision. He just has to make it.
I assure you that when it comes to being a Nintendo or Smash Brothers fan I would say I'm a lot more devout than 90% of you folks. Smash Brothers will hopefully be good.
The addition or removal of a few characters will not majorly affect that.
@Hunter-D That's my point. Tetris for the 3DS is terrible. Terrible music and presentation and the new modes are crap. This is the same as the one that is being released on the eshop. It's already been out a year or so. So it's already fairly certain how this will turn out exactly.
@Hunter-D I usually love Tetris games, and would usually buy the new iterations. But I must warn you, that as an avid Tetris fan (Tetris Party is one of the most played Multiplayer games in my house - over 200 hours) The one they brought out for the 3DS was horrible. Most disappointing purchase I ever made for the 3DS.
If I was reviewing it I would give it about 40%. At the moment I actually play Tetris DS on my 3DS if I need a portable Tetris fix.
Yeah Nintendo have turned around the sales of the 3DS. I wouldn't attribute this to the contribution of third parties as much as Nintendo's own ability to make some of the best software on the market.
Same will continue to apply to the Wii U. If you want to play 3rd party content head to xbox/playstation.

Re: Smash Bros. Director Pushing Himself "To The Brink" To Decide Character Roster
Maybe they should take him off the project and put someone else on it?
Someone who won't be suicidal when they start work on it.
Do you work in a place where someone is being made suicidal by their work?
Sign of a good workman is it?

I don't expect much sympathy.

ps. Namco Bandai development doesn't mean they should include their characters.
Smash brothers is loved because of its Nintendo characters, putting in Namco characters will not help the game.
Namco should just be glad to have the opportunity to have worked on it.

Indeed, I appreciate where he is coming from... but if he wants, I could select the l*ving characters for him. In about 5 minutes.
No 3rd party characters. That would sort out 80% of his problems.
I'm at my work, I have plenty of stuff to be worrying about here. None as trivial as what characters appear in Smash Brothers.
Re: All Three Of Nintendo's Exclusive Sonic Titles Will Be Out In 2013
@Tuurtledove looks like the best Sonic game I've ever seen. But I've always thought they were crap anyway.
If Mario kart becomes a Sonic crossover, I'll crossover to Xbox one or PS4.
That will be the last straw for me.

I would sell it to you for a fiver.
Re: Did Sumo Digital Just Tease A Sonic Racing And Mario Kart Crossover?
I don't like the sound of this one bit.
Re: Peter Molyneux: If I were Nintendo, I'd Put Mario On The iPad
If I were Peter Molyneux I would not have brought out that Cuboid rubbish thingy.

If you want quality Nintendo, stick with Wii U.
