Re: Nintendo Is Closing The 3DS & Wii U eShops And Has "No Plans To Offer Classic Content In Other Ways"

I am confused? The Switch has been around since 2017 and people are taking now, about purchasing games on the Wii U eShop?

If we had this effort during the Wii U timeframe, the console might had a longer lifespan.

But regarding to the closing of the eShop we are still able tonlosere the purchased games correct? Then I don’t understand where the issue is? Definitely beats a subscription plan! 😁

@BloodNinja if its free, why can”t I emulate the Gameboy games on my Nintendo consoles?
Using a third party software that will require updates for new hardware in the future on a PC and downloading ROMs from a rouge site. Is in this case not the solution since this isn’t Consumer oriented. Besides lets also not forget the licensing issue here.

Here is a elementary example; a book or a negative film is perfect for preservation.
No need for any updates, internet connection for hand shake verification or a running subscription.
In other words as long it is digital and requires a internet connection to check the licenses or updates for future hardware. A monthly paid subscription. It can not be called preservation.

The hiring announcements only mean one thing.
The company Retro Studio is still aktive.
We should take that for granted.

For Spekulationen, this could mean they are working on multiple games, developing new tools on a new engine or Dev Kit, someone is being replaced or they have a deadline to meet and need man power.
Only one knows…

@Ventilator ah okay not sure what you are referring to?
Okay, yes Tencent the worlds largest video game vendor which was founded on the Cayman Islands. That says it all right?
Nobody said not to worry about Tencent.
But If there is someone worse, it does not make the bad, good.
Yes Tencent ate no Gentleman you have to thank that to your Fortnite, Call of Duty, League of Legends and Co. players!

Microsoft is not doing anything different then Tencent.
But hey maybe Amazon will buy EA, this might mix things up. LoL

@Ventilator it has less to do with size but more exclusivity. Microsoft has been known with this strategy. Office, Internet Explorer, Intel, online services and so on. Fact is Microsoft is a monopoly that damaged consumers and competition. It’s all there just have to look.

As history does repeat itself in a form and another. I can see Microsoft stepping back from hardware and offer only a service with their game “software” IPs.

Re: Talking Point: What Could NFTs Mean For Gaming, And Why Are They So Divisive?

@SigmaNoire I don’t know, this article is more positive about NFT then the Truth.
We have been looking into NFT over as year as in offering the Type of solution for out clients. As sustainable company we still think this is not a good solution for the consumer or environment.

In shot, you need more CO2 for NFT then Ording the poster from a online store that get delivered to your door. Also NFT has major benefit for the sales not the consumer.

There has been allot of noise about how video game companies not being pro-consumer. Well NFT is definitely has no benefit for the consumer.
