Capcom is going all out with the upcoming release of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak - with all sorts of digital and physical editions. One other that's now been spotted is a "special edition" diorama set.
It's getting a release in Japan and will allow fans to recreate a scene out of Sunbreak with the assistance of three new amiibo. Included in this package is a digital copy of the game, three amiibo (Malzeno, Canyne Malzeno Palamute, Felyne Malzeno Palico), and the diorama backdrop.
While this won't be available outside of Japan, sites like Meccha Japan are offering it for $116,90/£89,63. Just keep in mind that you'll need to own a copy of the original Monster Hunter Rise game in order to be able to download and play this expansion.
Will you be returning to Monster Hunter Rise to try out this Sunbreak DLC expansion when it arrives on 30th June? Picking up any of these fancier editions? Leave a comment down below.

I think a real collector would rather pay the big bucks for the entirety of the experience on a cartridge instead of all of this overpriced extraneous junk.
What’s even more baffling is that Capcom has frequently issued budget priced releases on 16GB carts for as little as US$30 (and that’s the full, not sale price), but God forbid that they ever sell a 32GB cart release for US$60, which really should be the norm by now.
Five years since the Switch launched and 32GB cartridges are still deemed to be prohibitively expensive? It makes no sense.
As always, Japan gets all the good stuff
@Silly_G well looking at the current world events it actually makes more sense and I would be surprised if the prices goes up in the next months.
Oh man, this looks so awesome!
But I really don't need another Sunbreak download code. Already preordered it and plan to get the collector edition.
But it's so cool...

@Silly_G Damn your comment is like 3 pages long but a simple calculation would have revealed with 3 amiibos it is far from overpriced lmao

100%. I've already started priming myself. It's funny. I find it more complicated to restart a game I've put down for a long time than I do starting fresh. I'm back to using noobie weapons like Dual Sword. I'm ranked 200 fighting the likes of Izuchi just trying to get my chops back. It's hard!
I'm considering it only because I really like this game. I usually never consider the fancy editions but Capcom does a pretty good job with theirs.
@Scrubicius I am not convinced the $70 has been adopted on the other consoles. From sales numbers I'd argue it has tempered sales.
Most consumers fall into the trap of thinking that just because a company can raise prices infinitely that they will. They is a price point consumers are not willing to pay - or buy far less of.
I just ordered this set on ebay for like a dollar over that price listed on meccha-Japan (I assume someone bought it up off that website or somewhere they could find it cheaper).
I know I'm part of the problem here, but the real problem is GameStop only selling ONE of the three new amiibo. I have a copy of every single amiibo made save the amiibo cards, Super Mario Tasty Amiibo Cereal, and the gold and silver Monster Hunter amiibo variations that were only given as prizes to a handful of individuals and thus aren't widely available. I even have most Japanese-exclusive amiibo, like BoxBoy! and the Monster Hunter Stories 1 amiibo. I'm not going to stop buying them now.
Just angry that this is the way GameStop is operating. They're literally throwing away money to scalpers.
I stopped buying amiibo a while back but these look amazing. Gotta get those puppies
I ended up finally playing Rise with the NSO Game Trial these last few days. So much better than the pre-launch demo, I actually was able to find weapons I liked (Dual blades) & progressed through several of the 1 & 2 star hunts both solo and online. I like that my save data will carry over to the game if I do end up buying it. I can honestly see now why people enjoy it, it was fun. I might have to try and get that fancy Special Edition with the steelbook & amiibo that I think is a GameStop exclusive in North America (hopefully that includes Canada as companies tend to forget the continent is more than just the US).
