@lyle_catcliffe You hear them in audio logs or you read e-mails from the PDAs you finds. Honestly, just search em online, as you can't skip Audio logs.
I'm still using the joy-cons that came with my switch on launch day and they've given me no trouble.
However, I bought a back-up pair to use instead of the ones that came with my switch, and the right joy-con from that pair drifts sharply down, making playing pretty much any game where you have to aim impossible(DooM, Ziggurat, Red Faction Guerrilla, etc). I'd say this is definitely an issue.
PROTIP: Finish Suzie's quests to really REALLY make guns OP.
As for the Rhava Velar.... I wouldn't quite call it the best of melee weapons, but definitely a useful one. You can outdo it's damage with a the final Greatsword or the DeathBringer(Level 3) combined with a level 9 Augment Greatsword Shard(Maxed Rank & Grade) and the Optimizer Shard(Maxed Rank & Grade)
You can obtain the Optimizer Shard from the Ocypete Enemy in the Dian Cecht Cathedral(In the area with all the bells) and the Augment Greatsword Shard can be Crafted once you get the Augment Sword/Club Shard(Drops from Sabnock in the Entrance)
Spoilers ahead!

...When you finish all of Susie's cooking requests you get the Recycle Hat, which makes ALL AMMUNITION INFINITE WHEN WORN. Craft Diamond Ammo and you'll have a gun that can hit up to 400-500 damage. And that's IF the enemy is resistant to strike damage. If they aren't... hooo boy.
Recycle hat isn't obtainable until you're very well near the end of the game, so I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to cook all the recipes.
....Oh, and make sure you cook an extra meal for yourself. Remember: You get PERMANENT stat bonuses from the food you eat so make sure you cook extras!
For reference, here are the items with 1 or 2 percent drop rates:
-Fiend Heart(Dropped By Demon Lord) -Orichalcum(Dropped by G Axe Outsider) -Alexandrite(Dropped by Ice Elemental) -Flying Beef(Dropped by Haagenti. This has the lowest drop rate of all items in the game, so be patient. It will drop)
-Alchemic Bounty Shard(Droppped by Zagan in the Garden Of Silence)
-Crimsonite(Dropped by Ninja)
-Dark Matter(Can be cooked as well, but cook it ONCE and then buy from the shop. Saves you the time of farming Dark Elementals)
-Cypress Wood(Dropped by Deathtrap)
The following cooking ingredients can ONLY be obtained in blue chests in the Foreign Alchemy Lab:
-Miso -Soy Sauce
The following item can ONLY be found in blue chests the underground sorcery lab
I played this way back when on PS3. It's a solid game, though I feel like something was missing in it.... can't quite put my finger on it, since it's been literally a decade since I last played it.
It should be noted that the other consoles have crashing issues as well. I have this on Both PC and Physical on Switch. I don't think I've experienced a single crash on PC. This is entirely different on the switch as I've crashed SEVERAL times in the beginning area and after picking up a book from the book case. To the point where it just angered me and I never touched the switch version ever.
Sadly it looks like the PC version is the most stable. At least from my experience. The toned down graphics and 30 FPS was somewhat expected, but the Input delay is unacceptable. I'll be watching the console versions closely to see how they fix it.
This game had some technical issues when it released originally on XBOX 360. Freezing, Frames-Per-Second dropping to unplayable levels, long load times, and graphical glitches. The PC port fared a little better, but not by much. You can attribute this to the fact that this was a one of the first few JRPGs to utilize Unreal Engine.
That aside, I played the game and the battle system was overly complicated for me. Maybe I was missing something, but I don't think the game explained the battle system properly anyways.
Fun fact: This was one of the few Square Enix JRPGs that never released on PS3.
It sucks that they didn't include that PS vita remaster of the first game in the collection. I'm a fan of the World Of Mana series of games so I'll enjoy the games until the Trials Of Mana remaster releases.
@Heavyarms55 RE5 is the ultimate co-op/couch co-op game. I had tons of fun with a friend of mine when RE5 released. RE6 is a good game, a bad game, and a decent game because you'll always hear 3 opinions on it depending on who you ask. My opinion is: It's a good game.... depending on the campaign you choose, though almost everyone agrees that Leon's is the best so go from there.
I played this on PC last year and in all honesty, the game is too easy.
The later levels provide a bit of a challenge, but that's about it. I can't speak for the DLC levels as I didn't care about the game after I finished it.
I guess the challenge is getting 100% of the collectibles, but even then it's still relatively easy. Get it on sale. Bonus points if it has the DLC included.
@NintyNate It actually does have the DLC. Vertex, Rotorua, Sequoia, Moon, P-AR219, Neptune, and the extra ship are all there. Though it needs to be added in via a patch.
Streamed this a while ago. tbh I find it unplayable in handheld mode and you can forget about racing in the Vertex and P-AR219 tracks. The colors are so disorienting that I can barely focus on the track.
I think I've 100% this game like... three times now? Oh well may as well go for a fourth...
The frame rate takes a noticeable dip in some action heavy parts, but overall is a solid port of a classic. I think this game has been ported to just about everything now.
This game is leagues better than FFX. It's a shame this game didn't get as much love when it released back on the PS2. I wasted a whole summer on this game.
The toys to life aspect of this game is a massive setback because weapons are hidden behind those toys. I wouldn't be as bothered if it were only the ships, but weapons and their elements play a part in the game's combat and it's fun combat at that(Though I feel it could use more enemy variety), and the weapons themselves are pretty fun to use, with my personal favorite being the Meteor Mk. 2.
If anyone is interested in this game, just get the digital deluxe version, because the base game is pretty empty in customization.
The first game was pretty boring. The lack of enemy variety was the biggest issue for me. I am not sure how they're going to go from a horror game to an Action FPS.
@G-Boy That's the guy that had all those video game OSTs right? How disappointing.
On the topic of This clown selling this hot garbage, I would've given him more credit if he actually manufactured and designed his own video game system. But nope just regurgitate hot chinese garbage like no tomorrow.
The game's major flaw is that it is ridiculously easy. It's target audience is children, sure. But even kids would get bored of this very fast. The only real challenge comes from the last few bosses.
I played this game on Steam and like many others have said, the randomly generated rooms are a waste on a game of this genre. It also does very little to separate itself from Castlevania. I'm fine with it having similar mechanics but this is just a complete clone.
The only metal slug game I remember that had health in it was The metal slug release on GBA. I remember there being some weird adventure type Metal Slug game on PS2, but I know nothing about that one.
I played this game with my cousins and my friends way back when it came out. I owned all the gamecube-to-GBA cables and my friends and family had GBA SPs. We would love playing this game every time they came over and we had unlocked a bunch of stuff and made it to Mag Mell. In total we had about 123 years and unlocked all the class specific ultimate weapons(Ragnarok, Dream Catcher, etc.)
I'm curious to see what they're going to do with the multiplayer here: Is it gonna be local only, or local + online multiplayer? if it's the latter, I'm am getting this without a second thought. If it's the former.... well I gotta call up some old friends lol.
This game dominated my childhood and I still come back to it to this day. As many have already said before: This game is not accessible in anyway to the average player, and that's excluding it's absolutely brutal difficulty in the story mode.
