People will gladly pay more for a game if it's an actual improvement, not a lazy remake. Japan isn't exactly Zelda country but look at how that game performs. But I doubt Gamefreak has any idea how to improve Pokemon at this point.

Nice, I hope they now quit to dumb down Pokemon games so much. Since gen 5 it really got worse with every entry.

It might sell but it's obvious Wii U owners aren't gonna buy the same game. And seeing Nintendo releases their high profile games on a monthly basis, every month with a port is a lost month to them.

The places I visit consider Other M a crime against mankind. Not even a mixed reception, everyone just hates it.

Other M almost killed the franchise so im happy Retro is taking over again. But what did Retro do in the last years if they weren't developing another game?

I really, really don't want Steve in smash. I even go so far as saying I won't buy the DLC if Steve is included.

Any gen 7 starter would have been a terrible choice. Incineroar is pretty ugly too but Sakurai made him actually pretty cool.
Furthermore, I'm happy that a ARMS character is isn't in the game. I would much rather prefer classic characters like they did with K.Rool and Simon.
We'll see what the DLC will be. I really hope it's not going to be the minecraft character.

There's no such thing as bad publicity. Besides, I heard non gamer friends talking about real life Mario Kart in Japan so yes, I do consider this to be good marketing for Nintendo.
