Re: Nintendo Download: 25th February (Europe)

@Clyde_Radcliffe Maybe it wasn't in the least initially and a lot of people voted "Nothing for me this week", until they added the game which transferred the votes to this one. Or it's bots indeed, but it's kind of dumb.

Re: Random: Finally, You Can Play Dark Souls On Switch The Way Nature Intended

This fix won't satisfy me. Like you said it changes controls in the Switch menu as well, and once again I don't understand why I should take the time to do that when developers are just lazy. I have never seen another game doing that except Battle Princess Madelyn... -_- I've contacted Nintendo, Bandai Namco and Virtuos; nobody cares. And yet it would be incredibly easy to program a fix - I could even do it myself (if I was given the source code of course).

Re: A Revised Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Has Been Spotted In Stores

@BulkSlash People don't seem to get the same experience with the Pro controller, though. I find it a bit 'floaty' but it never registered the wrong direction for me - or at least I didn't notice it.
On the other hand, my 360 controller d-pad ALWAYS registered two directions at the same time. So if I wanted to press up to shoot with a secondary weapon in Volgarr for instance, the character would turn around (left) at the same time. Characters would also go left after climbing a ladder, etc. Pressing down would also press right, etc.

Re: Nintendo's Wider Switch Joy-Con Design Was One Of Many Ideas That Never Saw The Light Of Day

@WaxxyOne To me the precision of the mouse and the clumsiness of the keyboard cancel each other!
More seriously, I think the perfect controller for FPS has not been invented yet. For instance I find the stylus even quicker and precise than the mouse, but we all agree that FPS were not very confortable to play on the DS. I think people tend to forget that two criteria matter: efficiency AND confort. Gamepads may not be very efficient, but they're probably the most confortable.

Re: You No Longer Need A Bethesda Account To Play DOOM And DOOM II On Switch

RootsGenoa

@JayJ Well, in my defence, Doom I & II are not exactly from 2019... They were mostly keyboard-only games at the time, since you couldn't (and still can't) look up and down. I think Dark Forces was one of the first FPSs to do this - with page up and down... ^^ I couldn't 'mount' a mouse anyway since I needed the extra RAM to run the game. -_-
