The Falconeer - developed by Tomas Sala and a very small team - first launched alongside Xbox Series X|S, an intriguing Indie effort that offered a flight combat experience on the new systems. Of course it was confirmed earlier in the year that it's coming to Nintendo Switch as The Falconeer: Warrior Edition, and it's an impressive transition too - you can read all about it in our preview from May.
That 'Warrior Edition' name is used as the Switch release will include all the game's current DLC and the upcoming expansion, Edge of the World. Publisher Wired Productions has now released a new trailer (above) and details on what this expansion will add to the core game:
Edge of the World features three brand new mini campaigns accompanied by nine new missions. Visit the exotic Mongress Mawsprings, exclusive to Edge of the World, discover ancient installations and uncover the fate of expeditions thought lost long ago, or assist an eccentric client to recover an ancient relic, while combating a deep and archaic evil.
The Edge of the World expansion also reveals two exclusive Legendary Ace classes and mounts. Ascend as the Arbiter who flies on the back of a Fenix, or soar over the Great Ursee as a Corsair aboard a prehistoric Pteron. Take to the skies and unleash the Imperial Shocklance, an electric weapon with the ability to eliminate multiple enemies at once.
As a reminder The Falconeer: Warrior Edition launches on 5th August; it'll cost £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 on the eShop or £29.99 / €34.99 / $34.99 for the retail version.
Is this on your Switch wishlist?

Been interested in this for a while, but I think I'll grab it on PS5 instead - more content is of cos always welcome! 👍
Gives me a Panzer Dragoon vibe. Looks promising.
@Ralek85 it is free on Xbox game pass. I tried it and it was completely yawn. Idk what type of games you like but that’s what I thought of it.
@RandomNerds stick with panzer dragon
@Dirty0814 Meh. Thanks for the heads up.
@RandomNerds it’s on Xbox game pass if you have that so you could give it a try or just watch a actually gameplay video. I found it rather boring because your literally flying from one place to another and most the time it’s just flying, no enemies or objects just one point to another where the enemies are. Almost put me to sleep honestly but hey try it if you can before you buy most definitely.
@Dirty0814 😯 Maybe I should boot up my X1X and give it a try first.
