Re: Guide: Where to Pre-Order Your Super NES Classic Edition

Qun_Mang

Thanks for this service NL. However, I have no intention of preordering this much as I would not mind owning one. If I can't walk into a store some time after release and find one on the shelves, they will not get my money (if I even have any money come October, but that's another issue). Simply put, I will not play their under-supply game- there are too many other options I can utilize to play these games if they don't want my money by not keeping up with demand.

Re: Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is Announced, But is Skipping Nintendo Switch and 3DS

Qun_Mang

Definitely doesn't make sense considering Megaman's roots (same with the Disney Afternoon Collection). However, did they outright say it isn't coming to Nintendo systems, or are we just going by the trailer video which doesn't show them? While I can see the absence on 3DS due to the systems 7 and 8 were originally released on (of course the N3DS can handle an emulated 7, though of course they can be ported rather than emulated so all systems can run them) there is no reason to skip the Switch. Perhaps they have a full collection in mind given the first was released long before the Switch, or they just don't have it ready yet.

Of course considering the Disney collection it doesn't look good for this one either.

Re: Level-5 Is Working On At Least One Nintendo Switch Game

Qun_Mang

@Tsurii If they release a Ni no Kini collection for Switch that would be the system seller for me as I already have Zelda BotW on WiiU.

That said, it's probably unlikely White Witch will be released on Switch, but maybe the new one. Prof. Layton or Yo-kai Watch games are even more likely.

Re: Has the New System Update Fixed the Screenshot Switch Glitch?

Qun_Mang

I don't own a Switch either. Just laying that out there since it appears (to some at least) that one must have upgraded to the Switch in order to still be welcome to comment here.

Still playing Minecraft- nowhere. I tried it on a free weekend once and didn't get the hype.

So, no problem with this glitch.

Re: Random: Nintendo Officially States Ganondorf's Last Name

Qun_Mang

"The name of this king of thieves is Ganondorf Dragmire, but he is known by his alias, Mandrag Ganon which means Ganon of the Enchanted Thieves." - A Link to the Past US manual, page 5.

Interesting. I never owned this game before getting it on the virtual console, or even the SNES for that matter. Like Joe Redifer I was a Sega guy back in the day (as well as NEC TG-16).

Re: A New Patch Is Available for Breath of the Wild on Switch

Qun_Mang

@Kolzig Because people have decided that since Wii U is no longer current, it is longer relevant and have pushed it from their minds, forgotten its existence. Even the GE video completely ignored Wii U outside of a mention at the beginning that the patch is for Switch and Wii U. Hopefully if (and that's a big IF) someone does a patch/framerate comparison on the Wii U version NL will post that video too.

And I agree as well that the headline should be purged of the words "on Switch" since a patch is available for both systems. Wii U should be added as a tag as well. However, have they ever changed an inaccurate headline (not sarcasm- I really don't know- but my expectation depends on the answer)? I will be fair and suggest that when @SwitchVogel wrote the article perhaps only the Switch patch was announced/released. However, now that it's known the Wii U version also has a patch the article should be updated as mentioned- in fact, should have been when the GameExplain video was added.

Re: Nintendo Download: 30th March (North America)

Qun_Mang

Wish I was interested in Pikmin 2, but I've barely played Pikmin 3 since getting it free with Mario Kart 8 (still can't abbreviate it "MK" as that goes with entirely different series to me- think: the current MK X and MK XL).

I've added Snake Pass to my Steam wishlist for its eventual sale.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Coming To Switch, Wii U Version Deader Than Drac Himself

Qun_Mang

No surprise here. Happened with Yooka-Laylee, now Bloodstained. I guess it's good that I selected PC version for both for the simple reason that one day the Wii U will die, will be expensive to repair, and I won't be able to easily replace it since it is no longer produced. One day my PC will die, but I can easily replace it, reinstall Steam and redownload those and my GOG games, and continue playing the games I purchased.

Re: Deals: Splash Your Rupees On This Amazing Legend Of Zelda Merchandise

Qun_Mang

I wonder if an app for my phone exists that will provide the NFC data the Amiibos do? I'd limit myself to the ones that cannot be purchased new anymore, which is likely most of them. I know there was another piece of hardware available that stored all your Amiibo data, but unless there's data around that can be copied to it you have to have the Amiibos first in order to scan them and that's the trouble these days, isn't it?

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Wii U)

Qun_Mang

@PanurgeJr
There's always a backlog to consider- I know I have a huge one and I am sure most others do as well. As our Irish friend, I'm putting off a Switch purchase too- partly because of funds but I would anyway as most titles I'm interested in is/will also be available on PC, and that is my preferred platform for those titles.

@Menchi187
Bitter much? To add to my reply to PanurgeJr, there is nothing wrong with the Wii U version of BotW or the system itself. The Switch BotW advantages are minor, IMHO- certainly nothing worth the purchase of a new system at this time. The Wii U is still a great system and I can play games from three generations natively on it (well, Gamecube compatibility had to be opened up by other software, but once opened the games run natively even if I have to have an .iso of each game I own).

Re: Don't Worry, The Nintendo Switch Kickstand Is Designed To Snap Off

Qun_Mang

@BenAV 'Sokay. My reply was probably a little over the top. But it is something that really can happen to anyone. Even those who read about this and are careful initially can easily let things slide later on as they get comfortable with the system, or maybe sometime the kickstand won't be in entirely and will catch on the dock and you won't notice until it's too late though you're carefully sliding it into the dock's opening. Even if careful is your norm, maybe one time you're with a group of friends and your attention is on several things at once and... Anyway, as I mentioned, it doesn't even have to be you that is careless- anyone who touches your system could run into this. Nothing on you, but these are just a few examples that show even if you are careful things can happen. That is all.

Re: Don't Worry, The Nintendo Switch Kickstand Is Designed To Snap Off

Qun_Mang

@JudgeMethos @BenAV So you've never messed up in your lives? Not even once? Before you answer, someone who knows you will be rolling on the floor having a big laugh if you answer in the negative. And just to not entirely crush your egos, it might not even be you who makes this error with your Switch, but a friend or family member.

Re: Here Are The New Features Coming in Miitomo's Next Big Update

Qun_Mang

I only used it to mine miitomo/platinum coins in hopes of more free games. Since it stopped working on my tablet several months ago I haven't bothered with it, especially now that the free game trickle has been stopped up. Now I spend the remaining coins just before they expire on discounts that I will likely never use.

Re: Nintendo Resolves Issue With Legend of Zelda My Nintendo Discounts

Qun_Mang

@HnD Minish Cap is part of the sale...? Well, on Wii U- you're probably out of luck if you're looking for a 3DS version. As for Four Swords Adventures, that is for Gamecube, so not on the eshop since that is not a supported platform. There is still hope for putting GCN on Switch though, even if the joycons don't have analog triggers (they could support the Gamecube adapter and controllers, for example) so maybe one day.
