@Yosher That is a good point. Nintendo rarely Acquires other companies, and that's probably why they actually have a good reputation for it. They don't over purchase companies and end up having to shut down or sell of studios due to being unable to manage so many

If the last decade has taught us anything about games company acquisitions, they are never a good thing

I had a great time with it for my review, I was disappointed by the multiplayer though

@OorWullie I just read Push Square review and they say

Frustrating difficulty curves (There aren't really spikes at all, if you follow the suggested order it ramps up pretty smoothly, I am guessing they went out of order)

Very easy to get lost ( A fair point, many reviewers mentioned the map, and I understand that when you rushing to finish it for review, no map can make it tough)

Souls-like mechanics won't appeal to all ( You can literally turn them off via the modifiers)

Absolutely deserves all the praise. Been playing it myself for review the past 2 weeks and it was amazing. Gave it a 10/10

With how expensive consoles are becoming I feel the current generation of consoles needs to go on for a very long time. No company needs more power for their games at this point. Switch 2 yeah sure I'm sure a few games won't be able to squeeze onto it, but most will. The series X and Ps5. Are absolutely enough power for the foreseeable future.

Bar Fox, who I am very torn between Zero or switch 2 design, I think the new designs are way better. So much character and detail to them

Zelda, Akira, Pokemon, Palworld, Even saw some Overwatch characters in there To quote Grounds keeper Willie:

My partner often says "what the heck?" ( she hasn't played Starfox ). Every time she does I instantly imagine Wolfs voice and it makes me laugh every time. Rest in peace, your performance was legendary

My first playthrough of the original was via the Collectors edition disc for Gamecube. My first Zelda game though was Wind waker.

Good news, it's not Japan exclusive. It's on the UK store too. Not all of it is but most of it is. Just the ice cube tray is missing I think

I own every Zelda game physically so I will be getting this too, although I am not hugely into warriors games I do want to see the story, and to be fair it looks pretty good

This is pretty bad, if videos like this can be generated with very little human input, then why would anyone care to make it for real. In one way it's good, it allows for more individuals to make videos, but its also bad in that it will completely over saturate an already over saturated market. That and basically every animator and VFX person is likely to lose their jobs

Zion's videos have been great to watch and his experiment and video around street pass was a fantastic watch. Wishing him all the best of luck for whatever he's doing next.

My hype has reached nuclear levels and the goggles... they do nothing! Picking up Yakuza 0, Mario Kart world bundle and Fast fusion on day 1. Also had to get that sweeeeeet Gamecube controller. Probably play a bit of breath of the wild too. Oh and got the time booked off work and even get to collect at midnight! Haven't done a midnight console launch before I hyped!!!

@OneArmedGiant just seen that there is a demo so will give it a try, tried watching it on my phone and pc and both really hard to focus on what's happening

I can't tell if my video player is messing up but is it supposed to be insanely blurry? It's actually headache inducing. The game sounds fun but I genuinely cannot focus on the footage properly to tell what's going on

Just realised. Digital copy of DK at £58.99 is actually cheaper than switch 1 digital games.

So all this kick off about pricing is about

1) Mario kart being £7 more expensive digitally £15 more physical ( which you can bring down to £35 digital if you get the console bundle)

2) people thinking RRP is a set price and cannot be completed with ( you can get DK physical for £59.99 already)

So basically a £6-£15 increase for physical games and bar mario kart, standard price for digital. Even the switch 2 edition games are coming up for £60 here, but you could just buy the switch 1 box pre owned and get the upgrade for less

It is concerning that game prices have barely gone up ( and in fact went down after the 90s) in 25 years and when they do go up people instantly kick off. Game companies do need to follow inflation too. Don't get me wrong of course I would rather pay less, but considering the literally 10s of thousands of lay offs in the last 3 years in this industry, I think an extra $10-$20 is reasonable. Games in 2005 in the UK for example were £40. That's £67 in today's money. In real world money games are about £3-13 higher than they were 20 years sgo

That direct was insane! What a reveal! I wish there was 1 or 2 more 1st party games but an open world mario kart on day 1 and a new 3d DK a month later? SOLD! Best direct in years. Also.... AN EXCLUSIVE FROM SOFTWARE GAME?!?!?

After NMH 3 Im personally fine with no 4th one. I felt it was the worst of the 3 by a long way, the open world was really bad and the combat was a big step down from the 2nd. The fights were also way too focused on gimmicks than being actual fun fights

I've got a huge backlog to work on, but after playing the demo of this I was hooked. I just had to get it and I have no regrets. Such a fun game

I've still got my pack, along with the awesome playing cards that used Snes sprites for each card

@blindsquarel Well said. Emulating games no longer on sale, or in all honesty hacking your Wii U or 3DS is fair as you cant get the games any other way than crazy prices on Ebay. But hacking your Switch, a very active console with multiple options to buy the games, or emulating the switch, you are just straight up stealing. 100s of people put thousands of hours into making those games and you may not think stealing it will effect the sales too much but it can, its stopped films from getting sequels and it will do the same with games.

Great, just found out the hard way if your card expires/ gets destroyed you can't change the payment method. The official support channel says it will automatically cancel after X amount of attempts. Then the item will be gone as its not in stock Nintendo strikes again. How can a company that big not have the option to update payment methods!

Edit: Got lucky it is back in stock, still, no option to update payment method is ridiculous

I picked it up today. I sold the original a month or so ago to knock the price down a bit, along with a couple other duplicates I have picked up over the years. Loving it, its surprising how much faster it plays. Still one of my favorite Mario games.

As much as I love Fan gamed ( i even review them) but they were making money off these fan games through ads so this time it seems fair. Nintendo do need to embrace fan games though, that Missing link one sounds awesome.
