@Rocky2418 The point I was trying to make is that Nintendo should've made both. Even if they produced the XL 3 to one it would have made everyone happy. Instead they want you to choke down what they are offering and if you don't like it call customer service. And maybe just maybe they will offer the smaller 3DS but no guarantee.

@Rocky2418 Yes and no. Nintendo made the 3DS XL to entice people that wanted a bigger handheld. Now Nintendo is saying that the crowed that wants the improved smaller version has to get the XL or not upgrade. Kinda one sided.

This whole fiasco could've been avoided if Nintendo reversed region locking.

Between the amiibo shortage, collectors editions being in vary low supply and this, they have really alienated loyal fans. That statement is just adding insult to injury.

Thats what happens when companies do exclusives. I'm done buying Amiibo with all this. Nintendo really hates the fan base to do this.

Picked mine up at Best Buy with the 3x points. The thing is they had no idea that their was even a Bayonetta 2 they kept saying only the 1st existed on PS3/360.

What if they released an update that completely messes up the OS? case and point iOS 8. In the end no compony should force an update. You are always going to have hackers.

If you want to "customize" your 3DS just Google Nintendo 3DS skins. A lot cheaper then buying a new system.

I have achieved Platinum status since club Nintendo started. In the beginning the rewords where grate now they are offering games that I have or ones that don't interest me. You would think the big N would offer something unique to loyal customers.

Nice! Now time to start manufacturing them because mine are almost beet.

I'm not even gonna buy this new now. I'll buy it off of craigslist. When fans want something Nintendo never comes through (major's mask remake Etc).

I know one thing when I played competitively back in Gen 4 I bread some of the strongest Feraligatr's around. Took down A LOT of teams during that time. I loved playing online and ppl rage quitting when id take down a legendary or id run across a team that was totally hacked (Pokemon that had an ability that it wasn't supposed to have etc.)

I hope you can use the pro controller.

Nintendo needs some better marketing strategies like @Buduski said. I was at target and have heard the same thing with the Wii, WII U and the 3DS, and 2DS. So obviously its not just a few people that that don't know the difference. And what about an account system, I've had 2 Nintendo consoles brake that had hundreds of dollars in digital content on them and Nintendo refused to do anything for me.

@aaronsullivan My point is not everyone is in the loop. I have been in Wal-Mart and Target and overhear people ask what’s the difference between a DS and a 3DS, the clerk most of the time doesn’t know. I’ve even heard the sales person say you can play 3DS games on a DS. So no not everyone knows the difference.

And when you say hardware what about the WII U gamepad. The battery life in it is poor. My 3DS circle pad is starting to stick. What about an account system?

A lot of people this holiday will be asking "where are the 2DS games". Nintendo should of spent the money elsewhere. SMH

I wish this came sooner as my 3DS broke today and now have lost my ambassador program along with 10 purchased games. I can say one thing, until they make it where you have an account I will not spend another dime on VC games.

EA hasn't done anything with its games this generation anyway. Only one that I can think of would be the 1st Dead space other then that they just add new "paint".
