instead of Galaga they should call it "Addiction". I would say its in my top 5 games in my lifetime, so good that i own more copy's on different platforms then copy's of ET in the landfill.

I'm shocked that this even got a 6/10. The thought of playing a game like this having an all or nothing control scheme is just sad.

What is the timeframe of when this will drop?

Why is Nintendo passing out half baked ROM's this gen? Is the Nintendo seal of quality gone forever?

@DanteSolablood Ha ha ha When I bought DK64 I had no idea what it was at 1st and then remembered, good times. Sometimes I wish the systems of today where like that. The other games I bought where the SNES classics, and 2 that I'm not sure about: Code Name Steam and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy +.

@j-life I was thinking more along the lines of The N3DS. A few years later you had to buy one to play Xenoblade Chronicles and other games that benefited from the extra oomph like Smash and Majora's Mask.

@the-madprofessor I know I just think its bad for gaming. I would gladly pay extra Day 1 and not do this every 3 years. I manly play Nintendo and PS and the only "upgrade" I bought was the New 3DS because I'm in the hospital a few months out of the year due to complications from a BMT. Sony asking $400 for a system that will be outdated in 1-2 years when the PS5 comes out i just can't see the benefits. Now that Nintendo is doing this (most likely) It just leaves a sour taste in my mouth considering I have bought every Nintendo system Day 1 since the N64.

I think 4 will be ok for now but what about in 1-2 years when games require more? Are we expected to upgrade to "New Switch" or whatever they'll call it? I say go big now eat some cost's and make both consumer and Dev happy and not pull this 1.5 consoles to fill the void until the new gen starts.

If it is truly a maximum of 16 Gb Day one then the switch will be DoA by years time and a price cut will be in 6-9 months after release.

It's a new generation and not a remake. With Pokémon Go and the 20th anniversary I'd be shocked if it wasn't.

I still log in every day, even if it's just to get my coins. I sure hope the Mii in this transfers over to the Switch. I like the idea of unlocking clothes and not just using your favorite color as a "outfit". So this update is welcome plus my style is at level 27.

I think the only games that I will miss playing with 2 screens with would be Pokémon. The past month I have playing the Gen 3 games and it's a slower experience due to having many button prompts just for battling. Other then that the second screen is hit or miss depending on games good for Zelda meh for Mario etc…

@MarioPhD Strage they didn't put some effort into making it a smother experience throughout, nevertheless I can see why do to it being a niche market.

@MarioPhD Ok thanks for the input. I have two other questions are you planning on a standard 3DS or a N3DS? And do you think a patch could fix the frame rate? I ask because I have no idea how frame rate works and if patches can enhance it etc.

I bought it last night so it would download overnight because the hospital's wifi is slow, now I'm worried about frame rate 😕

@dadajo True, but when the game mechanics are not even present and you can't progress due to oversight it's a problem. These issues have become a norm in the industry because of patches. Imagine when the servers start shutting down and you can't download the patch just to make it run probably. 20 years from now if I want to play this on my Wii U I'll have to remember what games have problems and plan ahead so I can progress, compare this to Paper Mario on the N64 and you don't have to worry.

This Gen of Gameing has caused more headaches then relaxation. I find myself hooking up old systems to play something then the big 3 this generation. Developers have been poor making games run with few hiccups more and more. I always have faith in Nintendo to release a solid game on release. 😐

Didn't NL report on this game about a year and a half ago? I could've sworn I saw something on here mentioning it and saying it was on Kickstarter back then? Maybe it was Did You Know Gameing?🤔

They can make all the amiibo's they want but until they make games to compliment them they are as worthless as a Game Boy that's sold with AAA batteries.

@Balladeer In today's world that just isn't the case. Sad to say but it's true, the only way is to go dark months before a game is released.

I was abel to snag a copy from Amazon a day early and I would say 7.5 . It's a fun game but the $30 asking price is a tad to costly, $15-$20 would've been an easier pill to swallow. I hope that due to the success of selling out within hours they consider another game in the series, and build upon what they have at the moment.

Well looks like I will be adding this to my phones calendar so I remember to buy on release. Still need to get DQ for the 3DS along with, Pokemon Sun/Mon, Azure Striker Gunvolt physical release, Shantae and the pirate's curse, and 1/2 Half Genie Hero. Not much the other 9 months out of the year and every year I think I will get buy and spend less yet I almost always make up for it. 🙈🤑

@jbopatrick For people like myself that buy both versions and use one as a main game and the other to get multiple items it is. I have been doing it for years and I know a few others that do the same thing. It's the reason why in a few hrs time I can get most if not all of the new Pokemon and trade for items that I need.

I guess it's time to find another one considering Nintendo consoles go up in price after they are discontinued. Plus I've got a few dollars laying around collecting dust.

Sounds like paying for Xbox Live and PSN is a bad idea. Yet no cloud saves or a proper account system. 2016 called it wants Nintendo to catch up 15 years.

@apowes I have multiple 3DS's, not like it's going to stop people from doing it. If anything it's helping a few and hurting most.

The only thing I dislike about this is that it's making everyone go ape. A few mobile games aren't going too take away 3DS/NX sales like some people are saying. This is the same company that's so secretive they have basically denied the NX even though it's most likely releasing in 7~ months.

@JaxonH It doesn't have companions like the ones before sticker star, a traditional RPG battle system. With that in mind who knows what's in the game, but we do know it's far from its original routes. That's why I said they should just start a new franchise because it's a huge leap from what it once was.

@JaxonH I know but I wish they would come up with a new series then. I LOVE the whole paper world and what not but if they refuse to make it an RPG why keep calling it Paper Mario.

@Anti-Matter That's what I thought at first but wouldn't it be easier and make something completely different then using the Paper Mario name? I guess if I want an RPG with Mario and friends I should start playing Mario and Luigi again. Missed the last one
