Super Smash Bros. for Wii U arrives this week in North America, which makes this the last entry in this feature series before that HD iteration lands — those in PAL regions and Japan have a little longer to wait. As a result Masahiro Sakurai's Director's Room Miiverse community posts are typically focused on either being humorous, factual or — occasionally — showing a new stage; megatons are a thing of the past. We're on the home stretch, which is to be expected as we reach issue 62.

Last week's offerings were, unsurprisingly, all about the Wii U, with posts on dynamic new stages perhaps catching the eye the most. We did get some insight into Smash Tour and more, including a look at Master Beast and Master Fortress in HD, so there's a decent selection.

You can find those posts below, then — click on the date heading to visit the posts in question and give them a Yeah.

The Wii U version-exclusive Master Fortress is only available in single-player mode. You'll need to attack its heartlike cores.

The one large change we made to this stage is this Hylian text. I wonder what it says? Also featured in this pic is Link in Fierce Deity colors.

On the upside-down course, Shy Guys jump their karts upside-down too!! It's amazing how the course twists on this stage. Of course, the gravity for the fighters will always go downward.

You can even re-watch videos that play after you clear Classic mode and Allstar mode. This is a list of videos which are unlocked when you clear certain things. They tend to be short, but you'll get a lot of information if you play them all in one sitting.

There are three types of game boards. If you turn on the Custom Fighters option, the fighters will be preset with custom special moves. The number on a fighter's portrait on the game board indicates which custom move set that fighter is using--this also adds to the randomness of this mode.
