Super Smash Bros. for Wii U arrives this week in North America, which makes this the last entry in this feature series before that HD iteration lands — those in PAL regions and Japan have a little longer to wait. As a result Masahiro Sakurai's Director's Room Miiverse community posts are typically focused on either being humorous, factual or — occasionally — showing a new stage; megatons are a thing of the past. We're on the home stretch, which is to be expected as we reach issue 62.
Last week's offerings were, unsurprisingly, all about the Wii U, with posts on dynamic new stages perhaps catching the eye the most. We did get some insight into Smash Tour and more, including a look at Master Beast and Master Fortress in HD, so there's a decent selection.
You can find those posts below, then — click on the date heading to visit the posts in question and give them a Yeah.
10th November
The Wii U version-exclusive Master Fortress is only available in single-player mode. You'll need to attack its heartlike cores.

The one large change we made to this stage is this Hylian text. I wonder what it says? Also featured in this pic is Link in Fierce Deity colors.
12th November
On the upside-down course, Shy Guys jump their karts upside-down too!! It's amazing how the course twists on this stage. Of course, the gravity for the fighters will always go downward.

You can even re-watch videos that play after you clear Classic mode and Allstar mode. This is a list of videos which are unlocked when you clear certain things. They tend to be short, but you'll get a lot of information if you play them all in one sitting.
14th November
There are three types of game boards. If you turn on the Custom Fighters option, the fighters will be preset with custom special moves. The number on a fighter's portrait on the game board indicates which custom move set that fighter is using--this also adds to the randomness of this mode.
There you go, let us know which were your favourites in the poll and comments below, while you're also welcome — naturally — to share the hype at this week's release.

Wow! 100% of people agree with me!
Easily the antigravity screen of Mario Circuit, representation of recently released games is a huge bonus!
Wow, I can translate that text using my Hyrule Historia book.
It says... Hmm, not in the book, or at least page 87.
Shulk and the Master Fortress. It seems like the Master Fortress is our only glimpse at an Adventure Mode in this game.
The fierce Diety Link looks kinda strange . . . espacially with the changed collorpallet ... but I'll take it! ^^
Friday......O how I await thee.
The Hylian text one. I think that one stands out just a notch over the rest of these.
I'm a liiittle bit disappointed by the Mario Circuit stage actually. I mean, the stage is fine, but why are all the Shy Guys red? The Rainbow Road stage on 3DS is based on Mario Kart 7, and that stage has multi-colored Shy Guys, even though the only way to have multi-colored Shy Guys there is through Download Play. But Mario Circuit is based on Mario Kart 8, which for the first time allows for free selection of your Shy Guy color (provided you downloaded the DLC), yet the Shy Guys on this stage are all red.
... just thought I'd toss that out there.
They all look amazing so I didn't vote. Can't wait until Friday.
That HD really brings out the grossness in the pustules in Master Fortress, with all the tendrils - kinda reminds me of the final area in Epic Mickey.
Anyone translate the Hylian?
Cant wait to try out Master Fortress!
C'mon Friday!!!
The Mario Circuit screens aren't winning? :c
Also, does Sakurai mean there's like...a hidden detail in the short movies when played together all at once? lol
@Xiao_Pai Probably a subliminal message that says "GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY!" lol
@Josaku I feel it's kind of strange too...but that's due to the sword design. It looks like he's still using the Master Sword rather than the Fierce Deity design.
MAN WHOSE EXCITED FOR THIS......I AAAAAAAAAAAM!!! LOL No other game will have my attention, for a while!
I know why I'm doing over fall break
For some reason this week's pictures make me REALLY want this game. Possibly because I'm running out of things to do in the 3DS version.
Why isn't 'dont care' an option???
