Re: Deals: Huge Micro SD Card Discounts Appear In Early Black Friday Sales

I've actually managed with a 256 GB this gen. I've got most of the big time Nintendo games and some 2nd and 3rd parties thrown I there also.

Mostly gaming on my PS5, PS Portal and since around 2 months ago my Xbox Series S. Still gotta beat Paper Mario TTYD and Zelda Wisdom. Only played each of those probably around 10 hours each because so many great games coming out.

Well, looks like future MKs will be dead to me.

I'm already regretting MK1, haven't even played it in a month and barely played it before that. Played MK11 for 2 years straight and even went back to finish the Platinum Trophy for the PS4 version on my PS5 when I got it.

Bye Bye, Mortal Kombat....a series I've been playing since the first release in 1992. The last 31 years have been fun.

What's with the constant barrage of sounds going on here?

That alone changes my decision to preorder this, I'm definitely going to focus on Spiderman 2 for a while first. I'll pick Wonder up either in late 2023 or early 2024 instead.

Edit: I think starting with the next console, Nintendo need to start adding Accessibility Options and regular options to all their games.

Re: Ed Boon Shuts Down Mortal Kombat 12 'EVO 2022' Announcement Speculation

Pete41608

MK11 is one of only a few games I've ever played for more than a few months before I decided I was done.

In fact, I played it online and offline for 2 Solid years, only 3 to 5 games have had that kind of hold on me since the late 90s. Absolutely love it, it even took MK2 and MK3s place as my favorite MK.

I have Street Fighter 4 and 5 and put a small bit of time into them but ultimately their style and gameplay isn't really my cup of tea, but I do love that they are content packed and I admit they are fun in a casual play style.

I'm thinking about getting SF6 and seeing what I can do when I put more effort into learning the game as MK and Smash are the only fighters I played a lot.

Edit: it mostly depends when MK12 is announced and released on whether I go hardcore-ish in SF6. I'm hoping not until at least 2024 but I'll take it sooner if they're working on it now.

Re: Video: The Unsolved amiibo Dilemma - Boxed Or Unboxed?

Pete41608

I have around 30 amiibo. I unbox them and keep them in a carry pouch thing I got from Club Nintendo (back when it was good).

I want to occasionally use them, I'm not a collector in the sense of keeping them boxed hoping one day I can sell them for tremendous value.

Re: Capcom Has Officially Announced Dragon's Dogma II

Pete41608

I can't really get into the first game.

I probably waited too long to buy it after it first came out as the visuals aren't great anymore and the gameplay just isn't much fun.

Looking forward to seeing if 2 interests me enough, 4k alone ought to at least make it visually appealing.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aimé Wanted The 3DS To Launch At $199, But Was Rebuffed

@appleseedeon

After the announcement people still had until the price cut went into effect to be eligible for the Ambassador program, which was still a few weeks after the announcement if I remember right.

Also, you just basically had to own one and create an account before the deadline even if you paid less by buying used or new from anyone. There wasn't any kind of check system in place for them to know exactly what EVERY single 3DS owner paid for it, especially if bought used or second-hand.

@Olmectron

A teen Mc employee was most likely only making $7.25/hour working no more than 20 hours at best at most McDonald's a week up until recently when some McDonald's raised their wages ($13 here locally, non-corporate).

That's a $145/week BEFORE taxes. It would take around 3 weeks just to afford the Switch itself and then a few more in order to get games/accessories. You're giving the USA too much credit.

A teen working at McDonald's is not affording a 65" TV in 10 days. Maybe on a super mega sale for a non-name brand television. You're giving McDonald's too much credit when they've been paying their teen employees low for decades.

I started out at $6.55 when I worked at a franchised McDonald's 2008 and only got a raise when the minimum wage hit $7.25. I was already an adult then and could work literally anytime and as many hours as they needed or wanted me to and I still was only getting around 20 hours a week until I took on a maintenance role along with the working the grill I already did and started getting around 35 hours a week about a year into working there

Thankfully, I was only there for 1 year and 3 months before I decided I wanted a better paying job.
