In case you missed it, Nintendo has revealed the next free trial for users located in North America. It's Sony's sports title MLB The Show 22. While it wasn't exactly in top form at launch, it has received a major update since then.
The trial of this game is available to all Switch Online members and can be downloaded and played from now until 21st July.
In addition to this, the full version of MLB The Show 22 is available for $29.99 USD instead of the regular price of $59.99, from now until 22nd July. If you do decide to purchase the game, save data will carry over to the full release - so you won't lose your progress.
Switch Online members will also earn 100 MyNintendo Platinum Points when they participate in this trial. One thing to note is that this download will require at least 17GB.

Just tried out the trial, never play The Show series before, I actually quite enjoyed my time with the trial on Switch. Not too many options for baseball games but if your looking for a true sim this is likely your best option
More people need to try it, I got it day 1 and have clocked in about 200hrs on it, though I think I've burnt myself out 🤣
I'm glad they keep making trials, but for me personally this is the one I've been least interested in.
I tried the earlier demo and was shocked at how badly it looked and played. But I gave the full finished game a try with this NSO trial. Wow is it a different experience!
Sure the cut-scene moments are a bit low-framerate. But otherwise the whole experience is nice and fluid. The gameplay options are endless. I have to think this is a top-tier baseball sim port even if there were other choices on Switch. It’s cool having “real” pro sports ports on a Nintendo console after decades without.
Haven't been into sports since N64 era, no need to start looking at overpayed athletes now.
Never actually tried a free trial before, this looks like a good time to start.
I’m not in the US but it’s nice to hear the game got some upgrades. It’s on my wishlist waiting for a sale.
Got over 100 hours it’s easily my most played switch game this year. I’ve loved baseball games since I was a little kid & its great having a good playing portable option with tons of content.
Is Europe getting the same game? Or something else?
Nothing will ever top Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball for SNES, so why bother?
Swing and a miss
Frame rate issues but still a REALLY fun game.
Really enjoyed the couple games I played BUT when playing dynasty it didn’t keep accurate stats and it totally turned me off. All the players on my team only recorded one at bat and my pitcher only recorded 2ip and 2 so even though he pitched a complete game. Anyone else have this issue?
I downloaded this and will check it out tomorrow if I remember.
Although I will only buy a Show game on Playstation, specifically PS5 now. Will buy one in the next couple years when I like the cover athlete.
I really wish Barry Bonds could be a cover and player, but you know....
If you want a nifty baseball game that runs well on Switch then I highly recommend either Super Mega Baseball 2 or 3
Haven't gotten around to picking this game up yet, so this trial is nice. Played some yesterday and plays nice. Really cool to have this series on Switch.
The graphics aren’t anything special but the gameplay is extremely fun! Will definitely pickup a physical copy when it hits $20.
As someone who isnt a fan of baseball, I actually had fun playing the one game I played so far.
I haven't played a baseball videogame in so many years, I'm not even sure if I still would have an interest, but I'll give it a shot.
Not a bad game after trying the trial, I'm not into baseball video games beyond the Mario Baseball series, so it's nice to play something more realistic. However, the technical issues can be noticeable. On my first, and so far only, Homerun the batter went to the benches and he clipped through a wall, on another instance the players clipped through the floor and the bench.
Having said that. I might get it some time in the future.
