While this would be a major score I can't help feel it would be compromised running on Switch. While Ori and Cuphead are 'simple' 2D affairs each are very, very demanding under the hood and I believe even push a XB1 to the max. Still, could be interesting.

Cup Head and Oni would be great, but, it's Rare Replay I really, really want.

Seriously, I NEVER see why WiiU doesn't get better discounts. Either to persuade people to switch back focus to the WiiU or a thank you to those of us who still have theirs and haven't given up. Even VC games.

I have Guilty Gear XX Core Plus for Wii and Xrd Rev 2 for PS4. Always happy to see Guilty Gear being given love but I don't feel I've any reason to pick this latest Switch release up based on the 2 I already own on different systems. Maybe digitally if I see it on sale some point down the line.

Currently playing through Mr. Tako which I picked up only due to it being under £5. Fairy enjoyable thus far. Least it isn't mixed up enough to include a curved CRT filter as part of what it is clearly a GB homage.

It's not a demo it needs - least in PAL regions. It's either either a physical copy or price reduction. Im almost entirely digital on Switch except when game size is (roughly) bigger than 2gb OR physical and digital pricing is same.

Has the clunky/intrusive UI been improved yet? How's input lag compared with say NES/SNES Classic?

Not a good Arcade Stick. My advice, based on my experience, you'll need to look elsewhere and spend more should you want an Arcade Stick you'll be happy. This is NOT a good item.

Got both West of Loathing, Slime-San and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime already. Don't think I'm tempted too much by anything else here. Maybe Crawl, but probably not - with a backlog of games here WAY out of hand.

This. This is why calls for an Advance Wars sequel isn't required. Yes, some Advance Wars fans may find Wargroove a basic and unambitious attempt to stand on the shoulders of games like (for example) Advance Wars, but, a game like Wargroove proves ANY series stagnant needn't be the death.

Ghosts 'n Goblins? Hardly. The honour falls to Cursed Castilla which is arguably better than the games it homages. Already available on Switch and even though I rate it this highly I'd still not be able to recommend it entirely at it's current price, not unless you're a real fan of the genre.

Both are available on the NES Classic. Difference being once purchased you own said games. I myself haven't been persuaded paying for NSO being the state it's in. Massive fan of the Switch.

I've played through it upon picking it up on sale for my PS4, something like £4 if I remember correctly. It's a very good arcade game in the mould of the Ghost 'n Goblin series of games, but, it's not worth the £14 being quoted here imo. I'd definitely recommend picking it up but at some point down the line should it receive a similar price reduction.

@Gerald if anything like on PS4, terribly. I owned both collections previously and the many games that required this control method were near unplayable using analogue sticks. It was a real deal breaker for me and I traded them not long after. Shame really as the emulation and presentation felt spot on.

I'd really, really like to see the Duck Tales Remastered port for WiiU making the transition, of games which haven't already.

If this had been £19.99 for us in regions said game is only getting a digital release I think that price point would have been far, far more tempting. I'm far more digital than physical with the Switch, but on games priced more attractively. Anything £30 upwards I buy physically where possible, where not I leave it.

I picked up the collector's edition, mostly (ok, entirely) for the mini arcade cabinet. While the game itself is ok - I remember playing the original in the arcades, that's how far back I go - I can't help feel the package could have been improved a lot. The inclusion/option to unlock the original arcade rom for one, and perhaps some video/sound options.

Why are people in the comments comparing this game to Smash? Apples and oranges.

If you only buy one, make it Forgotten Anne. Generally I scoff at the idea of videogames as 'art'. This is one of those rare occasions it could be argued.

Mindless 'waggle' entertainment/exercise? No thanks. I prefer my mindless button-mashing sans as little exercise as is possible.

This is going to sound REALLY bitter, but GOOD. Those who passed in it the first time for a variety of reasons - none of them good - missed an epic Zelda adventure with some of the best dungeon designs in the series to date.

Don't get me wrong, both look great, I just have a preference for the pixel style art of the 3DS.

Normally I'd agree. I couldn't have been happier than when she was announced to be playing CM, but, being Samus as well as CM just feels a bit greedy. Totally different universe, I get it, but I think give somebody else the gig. Maybe even an 'unknown'.

Giving this a WIDE berth, particularly when I can think of numerous better ways of spending £20.

This (for me) lived or died on the quality of its emulation. I'll pass.
