Re: Here's Why SNES VC Games Can Only be Played on a New 3DS

Parkour_LMan

@MitchVogel Emulation requires much more power than the native hardware, because, in this case for example, the SNES had a different architecture than the 3DS, so it needs to replicate the same hardware, which eats up some power. And the CPU does all the work when emulating, so it doesn't matter what GPU and other specs the system has. Look at the Xbox 360 games emulated on the Xbox One; the games have some problems when running, even though it is clearly much more powerful than the 360.

Re: Tomodachi Life Sales Reach Two Million in Europe

Parkour_LMan

@westman98 And also because the Wii was very popular among those with smart phones, and everyone with a Wii will recognise them easier than Mario (I mean, no Wii Mario game sold a really high percent of the number of the units sold), so it would make it easier for them to notice it through the App Store/Google Play and then download the other apps they see from the same publisher. And it may be easier to make Miitomo, and they need more time to work on more complex 'real' smartphone games, so the first title will, of course, be the one that is the least (technically) impressive one, because it had less time to be developed.

Re: Review: LEGO Marvel’s Avengers (Wii U)

Parkour_LMan

@Desy64 The GamePad was part of the experience, and there is no support for two GamePads. It couldn't be made co-op, unless we are talking about an eventual remake/remaster. I found the game VERY enjoyable. The only downside were the loading times. But the jokes and Mario references are great. Also, the gameplay was amazing.

Re: Nintendo Drops Behind Sony in Japan as Wii U Sales Tumble

Parkour_LMan

Also, the shortages might have been caused by a problem in the factory. I mean, you can't give another reason to it, since the Wii U is selling at least 8-10K every week even without new titles released. And the Wii was being made until 2013, and the other consoles also were being made at least until the new hardware would release. So there is no other possible excuse than a malfunction of the factory.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Has Plans to Localise Mother 3 This Year

Parkour_LMan

@Angelic_Lapras_King And it being on the NX VC is very unlikely, since it is basically an emulated game, so not releasing it on Wii U is pointless. They should just continue the VC from what they already put on Wii U. And the Wii U would also have the Earthbound Trilogy, and we don't know if a new console will release by the time they end this translation OR if it will actually have a GBA VC. I mean, if it is a handheld, I wouldn't be surprised if they only have NES and Game Boy games on it.

Re: Japanese Analyst Claims NX Could Launch As Early As October, Will Eat Into Wii U And 3DS Sales

Parkour_LMan

@Octane And they said they don't want to rush it. And if they distribute dev kits to the others one year before, the launch would be rushed. The Wii U launch was ok, but the 3DS one... It was horrible. I bet they made the dev kits as fast as they could and sent them to the devs after that launch so they would have a more decent launch. The problem is that most people who talk about the NX forget about the most important part: the games. If those rumours about the dev kits are true, it should launch in 2017. All these rumours are so confusing, and what bothers me the most is that every rumour 'leaks' the announcement and release date, but never talks about the console itself (they talked only about its power), titles aimed for its release and the unique part of it.

Re: Feature: The Biggest 3DS Games of 2016

Parkour_LMan

@MoonKnight7 In Japan, Wii U has a better line-up. The only games that are new and published by Nintendo are Metroid Prime Federation Force and Hyrule Warriors Legends, while the other games on the list are either 3rd party, out in Japan or both.

Re: Review: Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. (3DS)

Parkour_LMan

@wazlon There is no such thing as a 'real gamer'. But you can't really say that the games are dumbed down, because you have Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Yoshi's Woolly World (the collecting part is really hard), Super Mario 3D World (the bonus worlds), New Super Mario Bros U (challenges), Pikmin 3 (missions) and this is only some games on the Wii U.

Re: Review: Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. (3DS)

Parkour_LMan

@TeeJay Really? They showed like ovef 10 new games, and the only ones I remember scoring less than a 7 were Mario Tennis U, amiibo Festival and Zelda Triforce Heroes (which got a 6, so it is not mediocre). And every M&L was pretty enjoyable, while other games at E3 have not been released, so you have no right to praise/bash them. And NEVER generalise a company's products, especially when they are releasing around the same time, because, in that case, there are different teams developing them.

Re: EA CFO Explains Why the Company Doesn't Make Wii U Games Anymore

Parkour_LMan

I am sure they didn't even try to get a new game after launch, and they don't want to make anymore games for the Wii U AND 3DS because they are not paid. And that guy didn't say why they don't make 3DS, while saying that the market of a console with over 100.000 sales is not big enough is not really an excuse. They could have said that the console was outdated, last gen or anything like that. And Splatoon (along with others) proves that games can sell there.

Re: Project Guard and Fire Emblem Fates Provide Oddities in Nintendo's Upcoming Game Schedule Details

Parkour_LMan

I hope project giant robot will still be released, in some way. And project guard seems interesting. I don't care if Zelda comes to NX or not; I will prefer the Wii U version anyways. (And please note that no official source stated that it would come out on NX or that it comes out in 2016, it's only what some people and rumours say, so I would not get any of my hopes up)

Re: Review: Slender: The Arrival (Wii U eShop)

Parkour_LMan

@thesilverbrick But the adapter is not rare anymore, at least in Germany; anyways, they have been using the gamepad for every virtual console release, and I doubt they'll do that. But I can always play the games on the GCN/Wii/PC (nothing illegal if you own the software).

Re: Vital Wii U and 3DS Releases Join the Million-Seller Club

Parkour_LMan

@ghostjoshu I don't find those spin-offs bad. I think the likes of Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Animal Crossing amiibo Festival (but this one did it wrong with having a board game; they could make other modes for Animal Crossing to make it using amiibo in a different way) have potential, and fans are not open-minded about them. And they are not even made by the people who usually make main series games (Next Level Games makes Metroid Prime and Ndcube makes Animal Crossing), so you shouldn't complain about that. The animal crossing team made happy home designer (I think).
