Re: Super Sonic Shines In New Sonic Frontiers Trailer

Pandy-the-Panda

It’s fun to know that Super Sonic will have a bigger part to the story then to just be a final boss killer, but they should’ve kept this a secret for us to find for ourselves. I hope this means we can fly around the island before moving onto the next one and losing the form.

This may also mean that Super Sonic isn’t powerful enough to beat the final titan, but they’ll probably have Sage or his friends channel cyberspace into him instead of actually making a new form. Although he did have alternate super forms in secret rings & black knight, so it’s definitely possible.

It’s also quite funny to think that this fight was literally leaked back in 2019.

@Serpenterror
Why would they put Fang be in a modern 3D Sonic game anyway? The reason they haven’t shown Knuckles & Tails yet is cause they appear later in the game. Super Sonic is part of the first island, Knuckles is on the second, and I assume Tails is on the 3rd island.

Re: Sega Reveals Main Theme Song For Sonic Frontiers, Have A Listen

Pandy-the-Panda

The main theme is another banger, I can’t wait to hear the rest of the soundtrack. I hope this song actually plays during a cutscene before pressing start on the main menu like colours & unleashed.
Why release the main theme a few days after the ending theme though? Shouldn’t the main theme be revealed first and the ending theme be left until we’ve actually had enough time to finish the game?

Re: Sega Shares "Sonic Frontiers Players' Reactions" Video

Pandy-the-Panda

It’s good to see this build is getting so many positive reactions from the public (and journalists) after what happened in June. All the new info and footage that we’ve gotten over this past week has me very excited to sink my teeth into this new adventure. Looks like fans of 3D Sonic are finally getting another win.

Except I’m not blindly trusting the journalists, I never said that. You seem to trust those two negative articles though… I’m trusting the public who have played it (from June & now), I’m trusting their experiences and their footage, of which we have a lot of thanks to the save data glitch and the fact that even the set 15 minutes can be played completely different each time. I will be trusting positive articles, but only because they’re backed up by what everyone else is saying.
You just really can’t accept that this game is good, can you? If you don’t trust people or journalists saying the demo is good then why would you change your thinking when they say it about the full game?

Articles are usually made so the writers can be paid, so they will say whatever they think will get the most views, and negative news/articles usually always get a lot more attention then positive news. Paying journalists to lie also doesn’t really work, cause once the game comes out and the lie is exposed that writer/site will lose credibility.

@steventonysmith
Both of those articles are from the older June build, which most viewers criticised, but was still liked by most players. A few bad articles or reviews don’t matter, cause there’s always gonna be some people who don’t like X game, don’t get X game, or just blindly hate X game, we need to look at the majority to know how a game actually is. Why can’t you accept that most people who have played the game -CURRENT build or not- say that the game is actually quite good.

Re: Sonic Frontiers Switch File Size Seemingly Revealed

@steventonysmith
There’s actually proof that the demo wasn’t curated for this event... Someone glitched the demo into turning on auto save to reload their data after the time expired, so they played a lot more then they were meant to and we know a lot more then we were meant to. There was also a closed door demo showing the second island that had a positive article written… Making a curated demo takes away from development time, and Sonic Team are clearly focusing on development.

Re: Sonic Frontiers Switch File Size Seemingly Revealed

@NOALink
Most of the game is brand new though, as the reused stages will take up about 10% of the play time on a casual playthrough (about 2 hours out of 20 to 30 hours); and while the level layouts have been lifted from other games, it still required the assets themselves to be remade for the new physics.
Since this is their first open game they obviously put most of their effort into that side of the game (5 huge open islands), so I (personally) think we should give them a pass on the level reuse this time because as a whole it’s gonna be one of the most original Sonic games we’ve had in ages (maybe since Colours). However if they make another game using this formula then I would definitely expect the stages to have more work put into them and see an issue with reuse yet again.
Also, having rehashes of good stage designs is better then brand new stages with bad designs, so hopefully they can learn from these stages and start making good original stage designs again.

Re: Sonic Frontiers Gets Rated In South Korea

Pandy-the-Panda

Sonic Origins was rated a few days before it had a trailer drop, so we may be getting something Sonic Frontiers soon or it could just be a coincidence. Either way, I’m looking forward to Sonic Frontiers news whenever they decide it’s time.

Re: Sega "Working On Fixing A Variety Of Issues" In Sonic Origins

Pandy-the-Panda

I’ve played 50 hours on Nintendo Switch, anybody claiming Sonic Origins is unplayable have either played the very unpredictable drm ridden PC version or haven’t played the game at all.
The console versions are nowhere near unplayable and SEEM to have absolutely nothing gamebreaking at all, however the Tails no respawn glitch gets very annoying. I’m aware that Emeralds and checkpoints CAN become disabled, but people who had that happen (including me) have said that reloading the save file restores them.
Most console version issues SEEM (I’m not a professional) easy to fix, so hopefully most things can be eliminated. It would also be great if the drop dash in Sonic 1 & 2 were fixed in this patch too, don’t know how that got messed up when the more simple Sega Ages releases did it completely right.

Re: Sega "Working On Fixing A Variety Of Issues" In Sonic Origins

Pandy-the-Panda

I’ve played Sonic Origins for 45 hours and the only issue I experienced was the Tails not de-spawning glitch, which only happened once and only lasted for about 20 seconds.
That being said, I’m so glad that they’ve officially announced patches are coming for issues others have experienced, they haven’t abandoned us like some thought.
