Re: Capcom Will Not Repeat Mercenaries 3D Save File Mistake

PSICOffee

That's what I've always loved about Capcom besides them making awesome games. They listen to the fans. Mega Man Legends 3 is now being made, and thanks to them, we get games like Monster Hunter Tri and TvsC on the Wii. Now if only Nintendo would listen and localize all those games (starting back at Devil World for the NES, then Mother 1, and so on).

Re: These Are Your Club Nintendo Elite Rewards

PSICOffee

Damnit. I am sick of mario crap! This is the best they came up with? It's sad to think i've been anticipating the announcement of the rewards for so many months to see pins. It's better than nothing I guess.

I think it wouldn't be so bad if e3 2011 didn't suck for Nintendo, they weren't screwing us over with localizing Japan-only games and the fact that we KNOW they can afford to give better rewards for our loyalty but they refuse because our country is "too big and hard to manage."

Re: Talking Point: The Growing Storm of Operation Rainfall

PSICOffee

Very good article. I'm glad the movement is strong, but sadly it won't work. The Mother series has a better chance of release. Giving the games to Atlus, Aksys, or XSeed would work, but Nintendo always has this smug aura when it comes to releasing things. I'm sick of NOA telling me what games I like damnit!

Re: NOA: "Never Say Never," But No Plans to Bring Sought-After Wii Games to NA

PSICOffee

I expected this. It's kind of funny how all of you thought Nintendo would listen, as if what Reggie said at e3 (that they do) really matters. Well if they listen they sure as hell don't act very much. As an Earthbound and Mother 3 fan, I've given up putting up with their crap years ago, which is why I'm so bitter in my comments most of the time here. I'm honestly sick of new Mario's and Zelda's. I'll take a brand new Donkey Kong, Kirby, or Starfox instead any day. That's partly why e3 2010 was sooo good for Nintendo-- most of the games weren't just Zelda, Mario, or Metroid (like the year before).

Nintendo ALWAYS pushes aside games at the end of a console run to promote the next upcoming system. That's why games like Shantae for the GBC and Little Samson for the NES are very rare. It's also why I've been keeping my eye on recently released DS games that might be valuable rarities someday. It's sad we won't see these games, but it's definitely not the first time this has happened (hundreds of Japanese and European only games throughout the years).

Re: Cave Story 3D Hit with Another Delay

PSICOffee

I find it funny that the original game was made by one guy, and yet all these rereleases by groups of people end up with constant delays. The only extras I'd care about are a beta version of the game and ikachan as a bonus (maybe the other games pixel made too).

Re: Sakurai Yet to Start Work on Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS

PSICOffee

I knew this was the case, and even in the previous post I added all the years up and it would take at least 3. I honestly thought after all the hell Sakurai went through, brawl would be it. It would have been better to announce this a couple years from now, because fans will grow impatient, reading that dojo everyday for another 2 years straight.

Re: WayForward Pursuing Shantae for 3DS Virtual Console

PSICOffee

I hope it does, because it costs at least $70 on ebay if you can even find a copy. I'm still kicking myself a decade later knowing I saw a new copy in store but didn't buy it because it looked like a girls game.

Also I can't find a good emulator I can use with a flashcart to run the game without massive slowdown, so really this is the only option for me.

Also releasing that Wendy Witch game on VC would be nice too Wayforward!

Re: Sony: Wii U is No Threat, Says "Welcome to 2006, Nintendo"

PSICOffee

@Infernapeking it was ROB with Gyromite and Duck Hunt with the zapper that saved the gaming world, because it was considered a toy and people didn't trust video games back then after the crash. Only when kids played the system was the console in demand, and SMB became popular.

Also the "gaming world" didn't need any saving in Japan. It was already quite a strong presence there. Other than that, everyone has clearly stated everything else you said repeatedly, and I'm sure in another 100 comments people will unknowingly repeat what you said.

Re: Kirby Gets His Own TV Channel in Europe Tomorrow

PSICOffee

Why only 50 episodes? There were 100 total! In fact, you can watch at least 60 of them online right now subtitled and UNCENSORED. That means it most likely won't have the crap 4Kids removed:

Kirby with a gun
Dedede using real chainsaws and not "light swords"
All the music from the games
Better voice acting (Metaknight doesn't sound Spanish)

Seriously everyone, watch Hoshii no Kaabii (Kirby of the Stars) instead of the lame "Kirby Right Back At Ya!" crap. You will be glad you did.

Re: First Impressions: Kirby Wii

PSICOffee

KEY was good because we haven't had a Kirby game in awhile. Seeing as this one is made by Hal, it's an obvious instant buy. It's like they are making up for the cancelled gamecube one. I only hope someday we can get an exploration Mario 64-esqe kirby game someday. That would be interesting!

Re: Europe, Expect Star Fox 64 3D on 9th September

PSICOffee

Wait, I was going to make a joke but now I see it's true. Doesn't anyone find Starfox 3D released in the US on 9/11 somewhat ironic? I mean, only people in New York cared to begin with, and I'm certainly not "offended," but it's something I'm going to be smiling at when crashing through buildings on Corneria with a flying contraption. To put it into perspective the ridiculous serious sensitivity of 9/11, people edited the opening of Futurama's airing because of the damn event.

Re: Sony: Wii U is No Threat, Says "Welcome to 2006, Nintendo"

PSICOffee

Nearly 300 comments for all of you to basically say the same things? Rarely have I seen so much activity (there should be more on other posts). Sony ripped off the SNES controller, Micro$oft ripped off Sony only to revert back to letters (seriously, invert and turn the placement of the four face buttons and it's the same position) and added a bunch of stupid useless extra buttons. That's all that needs to be reminded. Now, because I know no one will read this.... WOO NINTENDO FANBOIS UNITE WE ARE A BEST PERFECK!!!

Re: Reggie Demos Kid Icarus AR, Skyward Sword and More on TV

PSICOffee

screw jimmy fallon he's a complete twit. He was horrible on Saturday Night Live and it's a miracle he has a show now. It was embarrassing enough last year when he tried to climb Reggie's back, and I can't believe Reggie would return. This time it's obvious fallon wasn't even listening when he was told how to use the sword and just randomly moved his arms.

Even more so it's obvious the audience is just humoring him, as I doubt most of them would care about Zelda. Seriously, free Oot? They'll take anything that's free.

Re: Review: Donkey Kong (Game Boy)

PSICOffee

Too bad they are making that Mario-Mini crap instead of another sequel to this. The GBA one blew me away when I first played it, and to no surpise as I found out later, this prequel was great too (even though I haven't finished it).

Re: Nintendo Not Interested in Producing Free-To-Play Software

PSICOffee

Yeah fine, no free games whatever. What business would want to on a regular basis? But I've seen your salary Iwata, and $40 should not be the new average cost of a handheld game. I get the feeling they charge more because people buy it anyway and no one can stop them. Kinda like comedy central and fox selling family guy and futurama dvds by only 13 episodes per set instead of the 22 or so like it used to be and still keeping the same price tag. When I start seeing more AAA titles by the frequency of the NES and SNES on the modern and future consoles, I can agree with his logic of quality. The Wii clearly hasn't met that mark, but 30 games is better than none.

Re: Nintendo Download: 16th June 2011 (North America)

PSICOffee

Dk GB is certainly better than all that Mario Mini crap. It's good to get Mega Man 5 out of the way. As usual Nintendo's download service is extemely slow. I might as well go back to sleep and come back in two or three years to see the next 12 crappy VC games.

Re: Sakurai Talks Connecting Smash Bros 3DS and Wii U

PSICOffee

Even once the game is "officially announced" with its working title and everything, we already know the game will take at least 2 years to develop. The Wii U will be here next year so that's already one year, thus totaling to possibly three years AT LEAST before we have these games. However, I hope I'm wrong and we see previews of these games next e3.

I'm just surprised they are making another one. I figured Brawl was the last seeing how long it took for that one. I can only hope there are even more playable characters, and those RPG-esqe ideas sound nice.

Re: Pachter: Wii U is Too Late, 'Dumbest Name Ever'

PSICOffee

I completely agree. The name is more stupid than just "Wii." By saying Wii U it sounds like you're trying to mimic a siren:

WIIIIIUUUUUWIIIIIIUUUUUWWIIIIIIUUUU

and better late then never with the HD which I know Pacter was complaining about for awhile from Nintendo. However, I expected them to do this. I'm sure this new system will be just as successful as the others. But like the other game titles I don't like "Kirby's Epic Yarn" or "Donkey Kong Country Returns" they make sense, and I got used to them, even the "Wii" grew on me.

I still have no idea what the heck Wii U even really means. Why not just call the system "U"?

Re: Following Wii U Unveiling, Nintendo Shares Drop 10%

PSICOffee

I'm not surprised. Nothing about the Wii U is particularly exciting. The 3DS had a great reveal with a funny video to boot. Maybe it's because they kept the name "Wii" in this new consoles name, which makes people think they're going to get the same slap dash 3rd party support and all the other reasons people hate the Wii. Everyone loved the DS, so the 3DS success is no surprise, and I already have 10 games I want on it and I don't have the system. Not everyone loves the Wii, so this new system isn't a complete change from the past.

Re: Fact Sheet: Wii U - 1080p HD confirmed, No BluRay

PSICOffee

@46 yeah, graphics, I agree completely. Nintendo has always been the most innovative vidya game company. By technology I guess I was referring more to the example of what they did for the original Game boy when everyone else were using color screens. Also they couldn't let go of cartridges for the N64 when everyone else were using CD's. But hell, it works for them. I'm not sure how long this cycle will keep up nowadays until even all the "casual" gamers will catch on.

Re: Reaction: Upcoming 3DS Games

PSICOffee

It feels like we already knew about most of the good ones, many being revealed last year. I'm intrigued by the grand-theft-auto-styled lego game, and the cavestory update looks cool. There are at least 12 instant-buy games on that list for me.

Re: Review: Excitebike (3DSWare)

PSICOffee

Too bad this won't be free by September when I can (hopefully) get a 3DS. Then again, it's one of my favorite NES games so I might just buy it anyway. Hopefully Balloon Fight is next!

Re: Fact Sheet: Wii U - 1080p HD confirmed, No BluRay

PSICOffee

I'm not sold on this thing at all. Nintendo is obviously trying to keep up with the changing market, seeing as the controller is an advanced ipad in disguise. The Wii was okay, but obviously something is wrong if I have more down-loadable VC and Wiiware games than actual disc-based ones for a system. It's a shame the Wii isn't seeing a lot more grand slam games. I guess Skyward Sword will be its swan song.

Nintendo has always been a step behind on the newest technology on purpose since the Gameboy and Yokoi's philosophy. I'm not surprised there is no blue ray, and I'm happy because I hate it and feel it's unnecessary.
If this thing is filled with a bunch of EA generic fps games (as assumed by that guy on stage at the end) then I'm definitely going to avoid it. At least the 3DS games look promising.

Re: Reaction: Nintendo's Complete Press Release

PSICOffee

Only Luigi's Mansion 2 was exciting. I expected no Mother series announcement, of course. I was hoping for a brand new Star Fox, F-Zero or even Donkey Kong, but at least we got two new Kirby games confirmed (even though we already knew about them) that they secretly showed on the screen at the end. But where the hell is Pikmin 3 already!?

This e3 was crap compared to last year, and I don't even want to think about how stupid Wii U sounds (yea I know everyone hated Wii at first too). It feels like a play off of "Wii Two." I think this e3 would have been better if half the show wasn't stuff we've already seen. None of the games appeal to me for the Wii U, and even though the controller can do neat things, I can't help but feel like Nintendo is trying to capitalize on the tablet.

Re: Japanese Gamers Put Off by High Price of 3DS

PSICOffee

Barstewards? Only James Newton would change a word to that, however I'm pretty sure they really are the word I used regardless of how great the games they make are.

@60 I really don't care about how much Bill Gates makes because I'm not the one giving him money. At least he gives most of his money to charity. The Walmart family never gives. I can honestly say I wouldn't feel bad about pirating 1st party games (if I did that stuff) from Nintendo and it certainly will take a lot of persuassion to get me to buy a 3DS.

Re: Japanese Gamers Put Off by High Price of 3DS

PSICOffee

Nintendo is just ripping us off. Remember when we saw the salaries of Miyamoto and Iwata? The 3DS should'nt even be $200. They are greedy barstewards and it shows when the standard price of a portable game is now $40 instead of $30 (thanks a lot for that too Squeenix).

Re: Review: Chrono Trigger (Virtual Console / Super Nintendo)

PSICOffee

Final Fantasy VI, Mother 3, and Chrono Trigger are the holy trinity of the best RPG's in existence. I've recently been playing this game on the DS since it was released on VC, and I remember thinking it was awesome the last I played it years ago, but forgot just how awesome it really is. I seriously have trouble putting the game down. It's THAT good.

The only problem with it is that it's too easy for most of the game.
