LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the biggest LEGO Star Wars game ever, and it seems TT Games' hard work is paying off. Alongside the LEGOCON 2022 celebrations, the official LEGO Star Wars social media account revealed its latest Star Wars-themed entry has now reached 5 million players worldwide.
This game made its debut in April and was quickly recognised as the biggest LEGO game launch ever. We praised it ourselves at the time, noting how it was a "triumphant return" to a galaxy far, far away and awarding the Switch version an "excellent" 9 out of 10 stars.
"Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a fantastic experience on Switch, a great big celebration of everything Star Wars that's made the jump to Nintendo's console in surprisingly fine form."

I haven’t gotten the game yet but from Al, the cutscenes I saw, this game feels so Lego, they just make fun of everything, I love it!
Great news. TT Games poured their hearts and souls into The Skywalker Saga.
I just can't with this game.
@Anti-Matter
You don't say? I'm not sure you ever mentioned that before. Be sure to remind us again soon.
I wonder how many are still playing it... seems like a game you finish in a few days and move on from.
Avid player of the LEGO games. This is the best one for me. Undercover was great as well and is 2nd in my opinion.
Don’t forget it’s on the ps4 too. And all the other Star Wars game’s too and the other latest one which came out on the switch.
The delay was well worth it last year. I got this on Xbox One and it's fantastic. My son really enjoys watching me play. I grew up with all these games as they came out (through my teen years) and can finally play them all back to back.
I 100%-ed it. Provided a good month and a half of entertainment. It's a rare game that can stay entertaining after the credits roll.
Had to play a couple Lego games with my brother when he was younger a long time ago and that was more than enough for me. Rather boring gameplay imo. But there are a lot of Star Wars diehard fans out there so makes sense I suppose.
I keep forgetting that I own this game, to be honest. I played Episode I and half of II, and haven't gone back to it since. I didn't hate it, but I knew going in that Lego games weren't really my thing (which is weird because I love Lego and video games - and I have a lot of nostalgic love for Star Wars, too).
Have they patched the switch version yet?
@Swizze You really gotta put in a serious number of hours to 100% it. There's a great deal of content in it
And if you like Lego games, youll be ready to play it all again after a short time. If you don't like Lego games, none of them will convert you into a fan. The same holds true with this one
The force is strong with one.
You are strong and wise. And I am very proud of you.
Bought it on Steam recently and it's very good. You could probably finish it rather quickly if you ran straight from story event to story event, but each planet has at least one (sometimes more) open world environment absolutely filled to the brim with collectables to obtain that are really addicting to collect (it has 1200 "Kyber Bricks" to obtain, which is higher than the number of "Moons" in Odyssey, not that I plan on getting them all).
Space battles & even the pod race have no right to be as fun as they are either. While it's true the combat on the ground is a bit basic, anything in the air (or space) feels like a step or two above.
Got myself the PC version, which turned out to be a complete, technical disaster.
If i hadn't accidentally passed the refund point of 2 hours of playtime, i actually would have refunded it.
Good game, it just runs like absolute trash and the technical support is pretty much nonexistent.
Kylo Ren 4 life.
Lego LOTR remake next please
And re release the original Lego Star Wars too for 20$.
Have this for the Series X and it's a real game changer for the Lego franchise, the last time was with Lego City on the Wii U, the environments look like they were ripped right from the movies. And the whole thing is just so much fun, the cutscenes inject just the right amount of the story for nostalgia, the trademark Lego humour is the icing on the cake.
Will likely get it when it’s on sale sometime down the line. Seems like a wonderful fun celebration of Star Wars.
… Wun can only hope.
I would love to know the platform breakdown of sales...🤔
@Arawn93 There have been at least 2 performance related patches (for Switch) since the initial launch so yes.
the redesigned/redone levels were much appreciated, but I really liked all of the "open world"-like hubs. they did a good job creating and filling in areas for the different worlds/places.(especially the ones fans know by heart)
Have they fixed the crashes in episode 1 yet? Haven't played this since week one b/c game is broken. 5M players with more patience than I.
@PoorGeno It's a better game than when it launched as they have released several patches and updates since the launch week. You should definitely give it another go. They really outdid themselves with this one.
@Anti-Matter clouded your judgment is, mislead by the dark side
@wuntyme8 think it’s currently on sale on the eShop? In Europe anyway
I guess "players" will be the new unit of measurement going forward for multiplatform instead of sales because of Game Pass.
Bugs aside its a fantastic game and easily one of the best Lego games out there.
It is good, but I am breaking it up in to the separate trilogies, so done Episode 1-3, so having a break before going back, otherwise I think it would get a bit repetative
Waiting for a discount
@johnvboy Same, but I've got a little exhausted by it, might go back to the x360 games for a bit. Also, the UI glitches are annoying. All my minifigs have yellow dots next to them that reset on every restart. And there's a frame glitch in the opening screen ever time. No game breaking glitches for me, though.
@TryToBeHopeful,
I am only up to Jedi, just got to the Ewok's village which looks amazing, can't wait to play the force awakens, as this will be a good test, as that was a pretty recent Lego title.
Kinda sad that this is probably Traveler's Tales' last Lego game after all the controversy recently (and the contract stuff idk), would've loved to see them make another Lego Indiana Jones even if they added back the weird dance party scenes from the second game.
I picked this up on sale recently and was pretty excited to try it out. It literally made me sick. After an hour of playing I put on some sea sickness bands and took it back to the store. I wouldn’t leave until they refunded my money. I haven’t had such a reaction to a game before.
@Joekun I can only play it for an hour ata time, I've had a little bit of seasickness with it, but nothing like with Quake or Doom...
@johnvboy Oh, I've played through all the story, and it's very fun. Now trying to 100% but taking a little bit of a break.
@TryToBeHopeful,
I will play through the story, then explore the galaxy when it's all unlocked..
@Bizzyb Thanks for the intel. Will definitely try try again.
