@mercilessrobot If Microsoft is done licensing to Nintendo, that'd just mean future people couldn't purchase the game. It wouldn't affect past owners (this has been true of tons of de-listed games).

~9.2 after >20 hours in. While it has many innovative areas, a lot feels like a lazy re-tread of BOTW (Koroks, shrine structure, etc.).

Additionally, it still half-asses voice acting. By this point in time it should have ALL dialogue (except for maybe Link) voice acted, or at least had MUCH more voice acting, akin to Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Plus, there's the obvious performance and graphics issues. It being on the Switch isn't an excuse for this as Nintendo could have released newer hardware by now.

So they've either reduced texture or sound quality across the board? This is NOT good news.

Add GB games to Switch Online already! Emulators support save transfer between Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2, so get your act together Nintendo (I'm not holding my breath).

Despite having a love for Nintendo software, I'd HATE working at Nintendo of America. NOA has very little autonomy vs. NOJ, and is VERY much a second-tier branch (based on local networking). Nintendo makes too many stupid business decisions to make me think that they seriously favor a data-driven / logical approach to business / products vs. the general whims of the central Japanese brass.

These numbers do seem low. I'd venture a guess that the Nintendo numbers don't count stock based compensation (RSUs / Restricted Stock Units or options) due to different reporting methods in Japan and / or something being lost in translation. At U.S. tech companies cash bonuses are considered separate from RSUs when the term "bonus" is used.

Notably this article doesn't use the term "total compensation."

Since I don't speak Japanese, I can't speak about the original article. HOWEVER, I think that there's something lost in translation here.

The line in the article "It turns out Japanese elementary school students use the 3DS to listen to music more than other age groups" does NOT add up to the title "Report Finds Elementary School Students In Japan Use 3DS As Their Main Music Player".

@cowntsikin Agreed. At least on PSN all the software that's tied to your PSN subscription records the current end date of your subscription as the expiration.

I hope that they let us customize controls in a future update. On the Pro Controller B and A need to be able to be optionally swapped, and Y is going to waste. I want to use Y to speed up and B to jump in Mario

Mario Kart Battle mode is getting communication errors. Online play doesn't seem to be working yet :-/

Using the X button as B in Mario is nice (on the Pro Controller), but not as good as having custom controls. The Y button is completely going to waste.

Nintendo, how about a way to play games solely in docked mode off of an external HDD?

I've had a Switch since launch, and have yet to play a game in portable mode (nor do I plan to).

Buttons Nintendo, buttons... otherwise just make all your games on Android already....

This feels very gimmicky, and I'll likely only use it to earn Platinum points.

As a digital-only gamer, if DLC doesn't count, I'm less than enthused. Seriously Nintendo, for digital purchases just give a flat 10% or so back, like you did with the Wii U Digital Deluxe promotion. The whole Platinum versus Gold points system also seems to be adding unnecessary complexity.

I have both the GameCube and Wii versions, and do prefer the Wii version for the controls.

Personally, I still haven't been sold on having a secondary screen in any game as I'd rather just tap a button to pull up a map.

The part of the Wiimote controls I'll miss the most is the shield controls. They gave a really physical feeling to defense in the game.

The lack of Wiimote controls is straining my interest for this version. It was one of my favorite parts of the Wii version. I don't need a map at all times.

This is fantastic. Though I own many of these games on Steam, it's great to have them on Nintendo systems.

I hope that this is a sign of things to come in terms of restructured pricing for Nintendo games. I hope that this won't just be limited to indies...
