Super Mario Maker is just a few months away, and in order to keep those creative juices flowing we've compiled a super concise list of five things we feel you absolutely must create in this stand-out creation game.

The game just needs to hurry up
So why isn't this coming over too the 3DS again?
This would've been a day one purchase for me if it was.
@Robo-Knight Because the Wii U has more processing power and mostly it just needs every exclusive it can get.
50 million 3DS owners against 10 million Wii U owners, so if Nintendo can't court the general public to the Wii U, they may as well try and get some of the 3DS owners.
@Sanicranfast @Robo-Knight
Also because Zelda is still coming. This is sure to attract some people that Zelda would not necessarily. Therefore there will be more Zelda sales. The wii u is not quite dead
Cool, you can create airship levels from Mario 3; can you overlay the other Mario styles on it?
@DreamOn no kidding, can't wait for September.
I can't wait... ugh... at least there will be something to look forward to when school starts!
I am really hoping that last line that is empty is for bosses. It looks like a castle icon.
@ikki5 Considering that the Koopalings aren't showing up, I wouldn't count on it. Anyways, could somebody please help? The screen won't give me this game in exchange for my money.
I get more and more excited every time I read/hear about this game.
Like I said on the Youtube comments, I just hope I'm able to remake that Koopa shell level from the Impossible Levels SMW hack, lol
AHHHH I WANT THIS NOW!
Most of my levels will be in the SMB3 or SMW style. Maybe some SMB as well, but probably not much NSMB.
@Sanicranfast At this point I personally think it would be a more viable strategy to go for all those 3DS owners instead...That said, I'll get this on Wii U for sure.
@Megumi You mean this one? What a coincidence, I just saw this today.

@Giygas_95 That's not the Impossible Levels, lol

I mostly haven't been thinking about this game so I don't get too hyped and I impatient but... Suddenly I have an intense urge to make a bunch of Super Mario World levels, as that was literally one of my first two video games. I'll be like a kid in a candy store.
Does this game have blarggs? Please have barggs!!!
@Megumi I'm not gonna lie, that level actually looks kind of fun in a sadistic sort of way...not like the one I posted. Imagine if the developers had originally included levels like that! O_o Oh and that death at 6:28 was just cruel...
ShadJV Hah! I hope it has blarggs too. That's been your avatar for as long as I can remember...
I don't wanna seem picky here, but I think I could have lived without some of those new additions at the cost of having the Koopalings included and a world map creator. I haven't seen either so I'm not ruling them out, but it seems like we would have seen something about them by now if they were included. I don't wanna just pick a level I made and play it. I want to create a game with a story, maybe custcenes, different bosses, and a SMW/NSMB style world map.
I would like two things that would be simple and allow us to make more complicated games: Speech Block thingies that give dialogue/instructions when hit, and colored blocks for pixel art and recreations. Other than that, the game looks perfect! Can't wait!
Still hoping for the "caterpillar blocks" here. :c
@DreamOn its most likely fully complete but they are purposely withholding the game for September 11 to be as close as possible to the original super Mario bros game which was on a 13th of September but they want it released on a Friday.
@Megumi Personally those would be nice to know but i really hope they have them roller coasters or even the boohemoth.
@edgedino Well, those skull things are in the game...Dunno what the roller coasters/boohemoth are though. Guessing they're NSMBU stuff. lol
If this game would have been a WiiU Launch title in 2012, everyone would have understood what is the special thing at the WiiU , and what the gamepad can be used for.
I believe this game can be a huge success. I know you will buy it. And you!. But will it sell hardware? Now that the next System is mentioned?
No matter! This is my personal game of the year/ decade/ generation.
I sure will play this game in 20 years. Like I play Super Mario World today.
64 days left!
@Robo-Knight
The Super Mario U graphics are bested suited for the HD I think. Though they're plain anyway, they are way better than NSMB2. Theres tons of retro design, but there is the HD jump with its unique physics added. Easy to forget, considering I'm mainly for the Mario 3 look.
I'm not very creative, so the best I can do is probably a giant Gomba tower. It's going to be great fun to try out other people's levels.
...hurry...up...(please).
...hurry...up...(please).
...hurry...up...(please).
....can't...wait....
@Megumi yup they are but they are fun. The roller coaster is basically a single level where you are on a fast roller coaster where you have to be careful jumping and its not to big. The boohemoth is a giant lethargic boo that takes up half the screen and is kinda fast and it looks unhealthy but this also means you can't go backwards.
I seriously cannot wait for this game. SO HYPE. Most of my levels will be in the Super Mario World aesthetic for sure, then NSMB.
Fingers crossed for slopes...
This will consume time. Lots of time.
Maybe I'm weird - but I just want to recreate levels from Mario's past - and play them with the HD graphics. I just want this to replace Super Mario All-Stars - essentially. I'm probably never going to build levels - I just want to play levels that other people make - and hopefully play all of the old Mario levels in super fresh HD.
@Sanicranfast
It will be great if they release a 3DS version just to play levels created by all users worldwide with the WIi U version.
They could call it "Super Mario 3ds Player"
I´m sure the 3ds will be capable of doing that (in terms of processing power) and it will make this game even more appealing.
Just download a few levels on your 3ds and play them on the go
I feel like I'm the only person in the world that is going to make normal levels.
lol
also burning cheap cheap
