The third and final DLC pack for Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda is now live, adding a very familiar face and some new story content.
The pack is called 'Symphony of the Mask' and has you playing as Skull Kid as you work your way through a new map. It adds new songs and a new story into the mix, too, and Skull Kid is a particularly interesting character who can change abilities based on different masks that can be equipped.
The update brings the game to Version 1.4.0. You can find the full patch notes for this below.

And unfortunately, this DLC and the game itself may be overshadowed by Age of Calamity hype.
Looking forward to the physical edition.

Not really. These are two totally different games, one of which has been out well over a year and costs half as much as the other will.
I had so much fun with Cadence, and I still listen to some of the soundtrack from time to time (check out Gleeokenspiel boss music, a personal favourite). I thought I was done with the game but I might check out this DLC pack.
@Res462
But it's still Zelda content that has widely gone ignored. Remember earlier this year with the whole Nintendo Direct backlash? This DLC announcement did nothing to calm fans down for those waiting on "Zelda" content when all they're really waiting for is BotW 2.
This is really awesome! I didn't even know the game had DLC so I'll definitely be picking up all of that extra content now. I really loved this game and the original Crypt of the NecroDancer.
@NathanTheAsian
It’s tangentially Zelda. neither game is really true to the roots of the mainline series, so the audience for both games probably have some overlap, but I just think you’re way off base thinking sales from a game over a year old are going to be negatively impacted by a brand new one simply because it’s getting a physical release.
I don’t care about online backlash about announcements or lack there of. People get outraged over stupid things all the time. There are a lot more pressing issues going on in the world today than Nintendo not giving you news on the new shiny thing you want.
Yep yep yep. Looking forward to the new story mode and map. Yep yep. Can’t wait. Such a good game. Just the thought of the music gets me pumped
It hasn't gone "widely ignored"
@NathanTheAsian
Don't listen to the vocal minority, they represent only a small fraction of Nintendo's fanbase... Most of us are happy playing all of these games (overwhelmed, even). Crypt of the Necrodancer, in particular, is wildly popular. Don't let the haters bring you down, and definitely don't feed the trolls. Have a good day. Peace!
@NathanTheAsian There is no need to worry about this. People who complain because we have more Zelda spinoffs coming out before a mainstream Zelda are a minority and the kind of idiots calling themselves "real fans". They wouldn't buy the spinoffs anyway and are the kind of people who hate change and complained that BotW wasn't another Ocarina clone (I sadly have an idiot like this in my family).
Waiting for the physical version but I want too know is if the dlc is on the cartridge or will it be a code too download?
At the end with the Triforce the Triforce of Power shines brighter than the other two at the last second. I don't know what that represents.
Edit: I slowed the video down and the Triforce of Power fills the screen with light, not the other two.
If only we got an extra save slot too!
No extra save slots? How can a dev make tons of extra game modes that require a new save file and only provide THREE slots? Am I supposed to delete a completed file every time I want to try another mode? And don't come to me saying "just make another user profile", this thing has an extensive achievements list that isn't shared between Switch users.
That's utterly disappointing.
Cool, either this or a previous update fixed a bug I was having where I couldn't get the last heart container. I now have 16 hearts, yay.
@Rhaoulos @Boo-Thang
Well said. I'm glad to finally hear some people from the other side of the spectrum.
@Res462
Tell that to those who complain. I'm 200% well aware of what's going on in the world, thank you very much.
