Pokemon Bank

As you might have heard, Pokémon Home is now available on the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. As part of this launch, a new update (Version 1.5) has been released for the existing cloud-based service Pokémon Bank. This makes Bank compatible with Home.

To make the whole process a little easier, there's now a free one-month trial for the old service. This means you can transfer across applicable 'mon from past generations without having to sign up to the subscription app. This also includes the free use of the Poké Transporter. Here's the official explanation of how it works:

To commemorate the release of Pokémon HOME, we will make Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter available at no cost for a one-month period after Pokémon HOME is released. You’ll be able to bring Pokémon from various Pokémon series games using Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter. Once you've got your Pokémon in Pokémon Bank, you'll then be able to move them to Pokémon HOME!

Once a pocket monster has been moved from Bank to Home, you'll no longer be able to move it back to the Bank. Once this trial ends, provided you're subbed to a Premium (paid) Home plan, you'll still be able to move Pokémon from the Bank to Pokémon Home whenever you like.

Will you be taking advantage of this one-month free trial, or did you already have a subscription to the Bank app? Leave a comment below.
