Actually, that Dante rumour kinda checks out. If I had to bet, it would be on him. Although, there hasn’t been a single female character as DLC yet so for it to be an all male/bear/bird Fighters Pass would be a bit lame. Edelgard would be the obvious choice but another FE character would rub people up the wrong way.

I just now thought of this but what if the next fighter is similar to the Pokemon Trainer? I mean you have three fighters in one so it would be possible that Sakurai is doing something similar. If he's doing like say a Kingdom Hearts representative then instead of Sora you'd get him, Riku and Kairi each of them having different play styles, for Sora he'd be a balance of Offense, Defense and Magic. For Riku heavy Offense with low Defense and Magic, and Kairi would be high Defense and Magic but low Offense. This is just me of course.

I've been of the opinion there's gonna be three additional DLC fighters. They announced there'd be additional, but not exactly how many yet. Three will make the full character select screen a perfect 7x12 grid, no uneven rows. Maybe theyre going to announce on this direct exactly how many additional DLC chars therell be.

Id love Hornet from Hollow Knight with the release date revealed for Silk Song but considering even Shovel Knight or Sans didn't make it, than chances for other indie rep is even more diminished.

Especially this one: "The entire cast of Fire Emblem: Three Houses" because it wouldn't surprise me since Smash Brothers is basically Fire Emblem vs. Pokemon with a splash of 3rd-party characters I don't know, and also a few Nintendo characters.

Besides Hero, I think all the dominant leaks leading up to the reveals have been way off. If it isn't Dante this time, I'm off listening to any further leaks regarding Smash.

I think it's Sakurai merging the Vulcan mind meld, the "live long and prosper" hand gesture with the fact that there are now 3 adult version of Mr. Spock.

Spock for Smash. Leonard Nimoy is the official DLC with Zachary Quinto and Ethan Peck as skins.

It's going to be Ryu Hayabusa, the last Ninja Gaiden game that came out for a Nintendo console was Ninja Gaiden 3 so it has to be Ryu. Ninja Gaiden 3 was the last game in the series to be release on the NES, it was last game on the trilogy for the Super NES, it was the last game in the series to be included on the Wii Virtual Console and the last game in the reboot series to get a port on Wii U so this means Ryu Hayabusa is the last character of the 1st Fighter Pass. It all make sense now and Sakurai is holding up a three.

It's very probably Travis Touchdown. That being said, I don't play Smash anymore, so if this announcement doesn't also come with a reveal of a No More Heroes 1 + 2 Collection, I really don't care.

Ugh, please not crash or Dante, Joker already has a gun and there's a ton of sword fighters. Crash is too bland imo (does he have any moves other than spinning and jumping?).

So many better potential choices (kh, tales of, atelier, miku, monita), but Sakurai's gesture (assuming it's a hint) doesn't seem to lead to any of them....prob not waluigi as Sakurai looks too happy in the picture.

@kurtasbestos Man, that's a bit of an overstatement. It's Mario, Pokemon, and fire emblem and loz that's like a 35 of the 80 character roster. It also depends how you count Mario characters. The game doesn't count wario, Yoshi, or dk, but that's dumb. Mario has the most rep with 10 (15 if you count all the actual Mario characters). Pokemon has like 8 and Fe has 7 and Loz has 6. Everyone else is between 1 and 3. Which is fine. I mean, the four franchises with the most characters are the four most well selling franchises. Makes sense to me, but that Fe is over represented is straight not correct.

@PikaPhantom It's not like most of the sword fighters play the same, but I feel the idea. There's actually why I don't really want Dante. If he had the style change and airdash that could be crazy, but in the end hed be just kinda cloud with bayos and joker's gun. I'd want monster Hunter
